Per Spotrac, AVT’s 5th-year option will carry a cap hit of about $15 mil in 2025. This leaves NYJ with just below $60 mil in projected cap space next year. Expect a portion of that to go to an extension for Michael Carter II.

Do you work for that website?
If Rodgers is serious about playing beyond 2025, I would expect an extension next year to significantly reduce his current $51.5M cap charge.
Give MCII his extension ASAP. Everyone forgets how valuable a good slot corner is until you have a Buster Skrine holding down that spot
I can’t remember the last time we had the problem of: “we have a bunch of good players we need to lock up long term, how will we afford it all?”
Will this finally be the year we make the playoffs?
Man I fucking hate void years. Also, aside from Lazard, there aren’t many contracts we can dump. I’m sure they’ll dump some under performers, but prepare yourself for a year with another massive deadcap.
MC2 is the best slot corner in football. Pay the man
