Buy out PLD. Rob made a mistake, time to fix it and give us cap space back to spend on players who actually try.

You’re gonna get downvoted to hell, but I’ve been saying this for months
Need to do it before he’s 26 to avoid the additional cap hit. If not then we may be stuck with him (especially if Blake somehow avoids getting fired).
The problem is this math only applies until he is 26 which is less than two months from now. After that it doubles. RB will say a new coach and system will optimize him but there’s no world in which he will reach 8.5mil in value. The buyout now and firing RB is the right move but they don’t have the balls to do it.
We can flawlessly transition from paying Richards forever to paying PLD forever. Great way to run an organization
Honestly needs to happen. Brought in to be a difference maker and does fuck all in the series. Not a single Kings fan liked the signing, how tf were we able to see this and not Blake?
Retain 2.6 million on PLD and Habs will trade you Anderson 5.5 X 3 + Dvorak at 50% Retained 2.25 X 1 + a 2nd rounder.
Sounds better than buying out PLD

He actually got worse than the regular season. Dude is barely good enoguh for a 3rd line and people are defending him making the third most money on the team.

I’d rather see Robitaille replaced with a new president who will hire a GM who will hire coaching staff to play a 21st century NHL system PLD will thrive in, not this archaic modified 1-3-1 version of the mid-90s New Jersey Devils neutral zone trap that was solved decades ago.
