Big pimpin Howie
That was actually a cool look at the moment.
I feel that Howie was on a lot of caffeine – moving a mile a minute!
Awesome
Boy on that Powda
Howie is the GOAT
They definitely thought the Rams were about to get Cooper
Now I want to see a compilation of Howie going trade crazy on day 3
Really cool getting to see Howie in action at his Superbowl.
I think 10 years ago I had no faith in him as gm. His best picks were cox and lane at that time but they were top 10 prospects. You expect top 10 guys to be good. Kelce hadnβt become a HOFer yet. And BG looked like a borderline bust. Watkins and smith were obvious busts at this point.
Then he started to learn to play to his own strengths in free agency and the trade market. All the while he started to figure out the draft and learn from his mistakes.
2017: production guys (barnett, pumphrey, hollins)
2018: athletic freaks (sparq score guys? Was that a thing?)
2019: pff darlings.
2020: scheme fits.
2021-present: trade trade trade. And then donβt over think it. Plus Takes some toolsy athletic guys in the later rounds.
I think rightly howie was under fire coming off of 2019 and 2020 because those draft strategies were bad. But its clear he was still figuring things out. I think he figured our free agency and the trade market but not the draft. And I think now heβs figured out the draft. At least in so far as how he can best extract value from it.
Lurie is a cool owner. Seems to just really care about the team, fans, and city.

Howie is aging like a fine wine.
