Tbh Giannis probably would’ve went off on us like he did in the regular season, but it’s impossible to say if that would’ve been the difference maker. You plug in a guy like Giannis and it changes everything. It changes how we defend them and it changes their offense.
In the regular season Giannis was the only one doing anything every game we played. Without him in this series, it allowed guys like Middleton, Lopez, Porter etc to get the ball in their hands more and they stepped up and played well. They likely would not have been as effective with Giannis on the floor though.
So idk.. I can see why Bucks fans are so adamant about the injury excuse given that they took 2 games from us without him, but you just don’t know for sure how a healthy Giannis would’ve changed the series.
8-3 against them this year. Enough said. Fuck whoever they got on the court
At this point it should also read “ Since we’re sore losers, we honestly shouldn’t of won a title in 2021 as Kyrie Irving was hurt when we played the Nets”
If you’re gonna blame the loss on missing a superstar, well you can also credit a title with the other player missing a superstar. Can’t have it both ways.
