I've watched them all and I must admit, that Michael needs to sit. Kirk is about to be the most underappreciated qb in the league because Penix has some serious areas of his game that ended to be cleaned up but when he cleans them up, he will be a great qb. He has this thing with his feet where he takes a little hitch on half of his throws and it causes him to sail a lot of balls. He also points his feet in the wrong direction, and he holds the ball a bit too long. All mechanical things that can be fixed but if he was drafted and put in a starting role early could be an issue. Kirk gives us a chance to compete now and Penix a chance to compete later and he is gonna need the time. For a good example of what he would loom lime as a rookie, watch the Arizona State game. They won but I thought it was his worst game.

I don’t think he needs to sit, but it’s clear that he needs to marry his upper and lower body. I would bring in an outside QB coach like Tom House or Beck and have him work with him exclusively this whole season. I don’t even think he needs to work on the scout team as Taylor can just do that. If they are truly going the sit two years route, then let year 1 be a fix your mechanics year. Let him work with VR on seeing the middle of the field better and he can sit through QB meetings.
