  1. * Brad Keller made his first start for the Sox. He allowed 3 runs (off 2 Arenado RBI doubles) in 4.2 IP.
    * Shuster threw 3.1 scoreless IP in relief.
    * The Sox were shut out for the 9th time this season. For the 14th time this season, the Sox were held to 5 or fewer hits.

  2. It’s okay, Jerry. You can sell the team when you feel like it. 🙂

  3. Whew. It had been a while since the last Sox shutout. I was concerned that the offense had gotten hot and started to figure out hitting. That would’ve put the 33 shutouts in a season record in jeopardy! Can’t have that.

  4. My dad was a long time sox fan. Today is his birthday. He’s been dead for 7 years. He might be able to start on this team.

  5. I’ll be on vacation this coming week and I am more excited about my break from watching this team than my much needed break from work.

  6. 7 of the 9 shutouts this season have been on the first game of a series. Lack of preparation really showing. Fire Grifol

  7. We are so back after that insane 3-game winning streak. What the hell was that, anyway?

  8. The season is now basically one-fifth over. The Sox are on pace to win 30 games. The ’62 Mets’ record is within easy reach.

  9. I was too busy watching The Phantom Menace in the theater with my kiddos, but nice to see we’re back to getting shit out again. One step closer to the record!

  10. That breaks our season-long 9 consecutive games with at least one run scored, which surpassed our previous season high of 3 games
