Breaking out my tinfoil hat again about Michkov, Briere seems incapable of talking about Michkov’s timeline without littering it with caveats.
“Unfortunately there’s nothing I can give you,” “As far as we know,” “At the moment, at the time it’s still the same process”
Bleak unless they find more blue chip talent to go with Michkov
With so many forwards signed next year and the need to bring up a couple kids from the AHL, who gets moved.
In addition, is there an option of packaging a player plus a late first or 2nd draft pick to move up in the draft?
Seems the Flyers first can get us a Sandhiem like player or a forward that is better than most we have in the prospect pool.
The second first will be late in the round and moving up would give us a better shot at a much better prospect.
If we can do this with Colorado’s 1st next year and come out of both of the next two drafts with 2 low first round picks, that seems to be a great option as well as freeing up a roster spot of one of the kids to fight for.
