I’ve been a Nylanderthal since we drafted him, and to think back on those 2017-2018 discussions about Nylander and how they have flipped so much since then. From being overhated to being the most impactful and respected player in this Leafs’ core when it matters the most. His heart and determination has never faltered.

I never liked that he pushed for more $$ when signing his current contract, but once he came to play in the post-season I immediately knew he was playing to win and appreciated that. He’s continued to do that ever since. Out of the big 4, it’s the player making the least who’s been giving the most.
Unlike that useless twat Marner Willy actually shows up for the playoffs.

This guy became my favourite player on your team just by watching his playoff performance.
He was not just incredibly skilled and effective on the scoresheet, but he showed strong leadership qualities I thought as well. He’s a very special player and you are lucky to have him!
