Key part of the story is when Windy says the Clippers will blink and offer him the max too if the Sixers do. Still think he will be using the Sixers and others as leverage to get what he wants from Clippers.

the other night Paul George gave a weak contest to a P.J. Washington corner 3pt. The shot was short and bounced right back to a waiting PG, only Washington went after his miss and pushed PG out of the way to secure the rebound and pass to an open Luka for a 2nd chance 3 that hit……it was at that moment, i knew Paul George was destined to become a Sixer

Go get Caruso with one of our firsts. If you’re gonna take a big swing, offer four firsts for Mikal or 2-3 for Lauri. That’s it. Otherwise, depth guys. I do not fucking want some reanimated corpse of a team.

Id rather go for markennen or bridges. Would Paul Reed and four firsts get it done for either? Then they could round out the roster with a few more good free agents ( KCP, Royce O’Neal, re sign oubre/ batum/ melton)
But PG would be a damn good backup option. Sign him and then you would still have the picks to deal for elite role players ( Caruso, and Deni Avdija)

To guys who don’t want PG: who do you think we can possibly get this offseason? Not trynna be offensive or something, I’m just curious because I can’t see those ‘good young role players’ y’all might want in the FA market yet. I also want Mikal or Markannen, but realistically I really don’t think we have any possibility of getting them or players that possess similar value unless they just downfall so hard
Man this league is really filled with too many over the hill players. They might help get you to the playoffs but look at them now. All out after thee first round. The younger generation is taking over. That’s what the Sixers need more than anything. Young athletic healthy ballers. Not some old goats who look more and more decrepit every year.
I’m semi-convinced he’s just using us as leverage to get the max from the Clippers
I will be done with this team if instead of bringing back quality role players + a few more cost effective stars, we sign the corpse of Paul George.
