Rangers vs. A’s Game Highlights (5/6/24) | MLB Highlights

it’s going to be left-hander Alex Ward give me to Ley on the mound this time it’s going to be his eighth start of the Season what he coming off that four inning performance against Pittsburgh four walks that’s ties a season high for the left-hander and and seman will lead it off Marcus batting at 257 on the ground to third Brett Harris loads up and a perfect Peg to first one down here’s Cory Seager left-handed batter against the Lefty wood but’ll roll over on it right to Toro and two quick ground outs for Alex Wood and that’ll bring up Nathaniel low LED out to left and low with a two out single and man as he’s swinging a good bat so Nathaniel at first here is adolis Garcia here’s pitch number 23 of the inning for Alex Wood called strike three a scoreless inning through more pitches than he wanted but it’s okay cuz the a bats will come up next Andrew heene shown so far the curveball and the four seam fast ball he also has the slider and change up and really good batting averages against Ruiz leads off for the A spot over the first Ruiz lifts this out into right field long run for Garcia and right as he crosses the line he makes a catch one away and here is Nevin checking in and a 3-2 to Nevin and’ll bounce it to shortstop Seager right there on top of it two up two down a Rooker already with eight home runs and 20 RBI one two and a swing and a miss strike three so Heeney gets him on strikes and it’s a one two three bottom of the first middle of the order coming up against Andrew Heen starting with JD Davis and he’ll ground one in the hole into left for a leadoff base hit that didn’t take long for JD and now Abraham Toro who’s been red hot against lefties is coming up one two right back up the middle that’s off second base and into center field Davis takes a hard turn around second but pulls back and Abraham Toro is continuing to hit hard against lefties now it’s time for Shay bangers to take his hacks now will hit in the air to right field moving back is adolis Garcia he’ll make the catch JD Davis tags and the a will have him set up on the corners for Daryl hernes who’s gotten better at the plate in these types of situations and he pokes the bat head out in the left field and diving catch by Durant tagging is Davis the throw to the plate and it hits Davis on the back so Toro can advance to second now a sack Fly for hernes a great play by Duran and left field and very nearly a spectacular put out at the plate but it hit the runner oh right in the back of the helmet that’s why we wear him Toro who singled against Heeney his last time up 32 little flar into left Duran coming on it will drop in front of him and he kicks it Toro into second he’ll stop there and he now has a double against he to back up a single langers went three for five Saturday it’s right back up the middle backing up on it Simeon is so to First in time and a great stretch by low JJ BL Lefty on Lefty BL pops it up into shallow left long way in for Duran still coming and he drops the ball he had a long way to go blade reaches first and we’ll see how this one is scored he had a long way to go but I’m not sure about whether or not they feel like he would have had to lay out to make this play I don’t think so it hits him right in the glove I mean that’s this is the big leaks so here’s Brett Harris after the E7 2-1 to right center field Tara still going and it’ll drop in front of adolis Garcia blade moves into third a bit of a miscommunication there and now the A’s have them set up on the corner you’re absolutely right the guys just didn’t have good communication here we don’t really see it there but that was a ball that I believe should have been caught so here is Mr Ruiz first and third Fly ball to Center this should bring home another run to varis will have room and haul it in at the warning track Harris is going to tag the throw into second is late BL scores and some great base running for the A’s and now it’s two to nothing fantastic fantastic as productive of an out as you can make there for Estuary Ruiz six impressive innings for Alex Wood the first time he’s gone that length in a game how about Woody broke out the Gin Su cuz he was slicing and dicing six Innings just two knocks against the left-hander zero runs 78 pitches a model of efficiency this evening and a much needed bounceback outing for the left-hander giving way to Austin Adams against Adas Garcia raim and Ezekiel Duran ad Garcia over for two with a strike out Fly ball shallow right Nan finding it in the lights and he will make the catch one down for Austin Adams Jonah Heim will switch sides of the plate two two it won’t matter called strike three at the bottom of the zone two down now Evan Carter will pinch hit as you said Chris for Durant yeah strike three Austin Adams a one two three inning of relief he kicks out his gum and P his fist toward the Dugout right bottom half of the seventh inning JJ blade leads it off blade high drive to center field Taris going back he’s still going by the warning track and he can’t make the catch it’s off the wall blade stops at second base and it looked like Tas had it measured up and then it just fell out of his glove one the Rangers Outfield has had a time of it tonight that’s not a a routine or simple play but that’s a play that Taris makes nine out of 10 times Andrew hey’s evening comes to a close tonight Bruce Boi out there to take the baseball and here comes Jose ler Harris standing in Blade at second but he swings and misses strike three and Jose L cler now has the most strikeouts in franchise history for Rangers relever two on now with one out and here comes neevan and that is strike three called the heater right in there for the second out of the inning couple of fly outs today and a strike out for Rooker and L cler’s won o pitch that one’s hit hard and lined right into seager’s glove inning is over some new faces this inning ERS pitches Josh Smith pinch hitting 3-2 and he just misses Ball Four Smith is on and now Travis Janowski will pinch hit here for kizner he’s got a pinch hit Homer under his belt he won’t have one there Outfield has had a tough night on the defensive side Taris one of those guys who struggled out there and that Ball’s hit hard out to right field that gets down base hit but that is a well struck single by tarz and now Cory Seager gets a shot 3-2 and that ball lifted out to right center field carrying well back to the wall gone and Cory Seager appears in the eighth inning to hit a three run go ahead over and it’s hammer time for Cory Seager in Oakland how about that so A couple of in on for Janowski who’s struck out in the eighth inning one oh bounc to first base and that one gets under the glove of Nevin out into right field and a run scores Kirby Yates is the new pitcher in the ninth inning now for the Rangers up by two he’s got the bottom third of the order here here’s a 3-2 oh he’s at that one a fast ball that he lifts out to center field and out there in those Dark Shadows to Varys but a popped out reached on an error and scored 32 check swing he didn’t go around and the A’s have a base runner in fact in the bottom of the ninth leay speed on First with one out here it comes two and two and that’s line to First low grabs it goes to the bag and this one is over a 42 Rangers win as they come from behind to Steel one in Oakland

  1. LETS GO COREY SEAGER. THAT WAS MASSIVE FOR NOT ONLY HIM, BUT FOR US. Shoutouts for Heaney and Leclerc for keeping us in that game before Seager crushed that HR.

  2. Garcia in the past couple of weeks doesn’t seem to be interested in playing. He’s jogging everywhere on the field and doesn’t look to be hustling and his bat seems to be nonexistent.

  3. Congrats to Corey Seager for hitting the game winning home run. It’s unfortunate that only a combined total of 15 fans both in the stadium and watching on TV saw it live.

  4. Wow, very winnable game for the A's with two straight losses after an amazing run…this is where the inexperience and lack of enthusiasm around this team really shows.
