noon’s ranks pretty pretty good 8 for 12 over the weekend including the four hit two home run game yesterday 2-2 oh my goodness it sounded like a shotgun G again Otani with his fourth home run in his last nine at bats his major league leading 11 this year there are good hitters and there are good power hitters and then there are great hitters with power and the game is tied just like that took strike three called on a two seamer his last time it snapped a six for six run Otani smacks one through the right side and has another hit seven of his last eight nine of his last 11 awe and spiring if he doesn’t hit it hard you’re surprised and this is another hard hit ball here’s the one two Otani runs and has a stolen base without a [Music] throw eight for eight add that to the many things that he’s doing I like it when he doesn’t walk cuz we get to watch him swing 3-1 breaking ball will he get a 3-2 breaking ball bet is a great lead over over there somebody else noticed yeah he could do something about it bets and Otani both eight for eight and stolen bases in addition to Leading the major leagues one and two in hits there he goes here it comes ball four on Otani robs him of a steal looking to add a little comfort as this game moves along later the bullpen being tattered Otani runs and has his second stolen base of the game it is ninth on the season [Music]

Over his last 3 games, Los Angeles Dodgers superstar Shohei Ohtani is 9-for-12 with 4 home runs. Against the Miami Marlins, he stole 2 bases and hit a home run to lead the Dodgers to their 12th win in their last 14 games!

  20. Now it’s not allowed for injured pitchers to get paid doing nothing with the excuse of rehab. They should do anything they can like cleaning the dugout.

  25. Many are saying Shohei cannot win the MVP this year because he is a DH. Even if he becomes the founding member of the 50/50 club? Not unrealistic, and even more realistic, do not count out the possibility that he pitches this year. He has been practicing throwing and seems to be rehabbing much faster than expected.

  26. Ohtani is not just a DH; he's also a rehab pitcher and is doing throwing rehab program every other day like any other rehab pitcher. Ohtani's hitting stat is so crazy and he is so brilliant and shining at the plate that pp keep forgetting about he is also working hard to recover his pitching ability little by little. Ohtani answered to interview that he missed pitching a lot but at the same time he also likes having more time to concentrate on hitting. Ohtani is always a 2 way player mentally and physically, though he can't do more for pitching this season as restricted pitches, throwing distance, and limited strength are regulated according to rehab program. Therefore Ohtani could only release his stress of unable to pitch on the mound by putting all extra energies on hitting and running/stealing bases. Ohtani probably would challenge his limit as a DH to replace what he missed from pitching. As fans, we hope he can win his 1st NLMVP by DH alone, which would be the 1st for MLB.

  34. There's never been a 50+ HR / 25+ SB season in MLB history (Only four 50 HR / 20 SB seasons). We may see the first this year. Add in a likely 325+ BA. If that happens then I can't see any way he's not the MVP regardless of not playing Defense.
