NFL Analyst Predicts Shocking June 1st Trade: Steelers Eyeing Seahawks’ DK Metcalf!

Trading DK Metcalf could be the move for the Seahawks future building plan, especially considering some challenges in his performance.

With a catch rate of just 55% when targeted (lowest on the team), Metcalf's efficiency as a receiver is lower than expected for a player of his caliber and targets last season ( 119 targets )

Furthermore, his record as the most penalized wide receiver since 2019, including a high number of personal fouls, raises concerns about discipline and on-field decision-making.

His route running, particularly on slant routes, tends to be rounded rather than sharp, which limits his effectiveness compared to more agile slot receivers. ( Watch film vs the 9ers against Chardavius Ward )

This move could free up cap space or bring in valuable assets that better fit the team's long-term plans. ( 17+ Mil Post June 1st )

  1. I remember when it was Russ trade rumors every season, now we’ve moved on to DK? That’s just the way the wind blows I guess

  2. “FanSided’s John Buhler tossed out a wild trade scenario”

Can we please stop posting articles that treat hypothetical trades as news?

  3. Idk. I’m not a huge DK fanboy. But seems odd timing… and I guess without understanding what is on the table too makes this sound more like off-season rumor than anything else.

I’ll go out on a limb here and say DK is in a Seahawk uni this season.

  4. “Analyst” saying something unsubstantiated about a trade with a popular player is an old recipe for clicks.

  5. Is it safe to bet this is Russ’s team starting fire

    Wouldn’t be the first time

  6. The rumored trade package was Metcalf for a 2025 first-round pick, a 2025 third-round pick, a 2026 second-round pick and a 2026 fourth-round pick and George Pickens

  7. You know what it is, it’s the you don’t know how could you have something tell it’s gone. I don’t think this fanbases realizes how much worse this team would be by trading your best player, who’s only 26 and has been the most productive receiver in Seahawks history through his first five seasons(better than Baldwin, Lockett, Largent, Galloway, etc).

  8. Okay I don’t think we will and I don’t think we should, but if we did, and got a 2nd round pick or better, I wouldn’t be mad, mostly because of the penalties.

I’m also interested to see what he’ll be able to do as Grubb’s new Odunze though!
