We deserve national ridicule for the Scott Brooks hire. The organization didn’t interview anyone else and overpaid for a coach the owner later called lazy. The motives were crystal clear: it was a #KD2DC effort.
Didn’t even get a meeting. Unserious organization.
Also don’t forget Ted fumbled hiring Connelly after Grunfeld left. Ended up hiring in-house Sheppard, who had a garbage tenure. Hiring Brooks just to get KD (hope people still aren’t in denial about this), and then KD doesn’t consider us. Meanwhile lose out on Al Horford (would have made us a contender that year) and end up with Mahimi and Nicholson to spend the cap on.
Ted is a bad owner.
