Try lost and found. It’s not on reddit.
I’ll never forget working as a ticket taker for an undisclosed venue. One of our jobs was to help clean up. Just lining up and going through each row with a trash bag.
“I just found a phone!” Someone excitedly yelled.
“Damn. I keep finding trash and she’s finding phones.” Another said.
It didn’t occur to me that neither of them had any intention of turning the phone over to lost and found or trying to find the rightful owner.
I was young. 18 maybe. But part of me lost a bit of faith in humanity that day.
