  1. Don’t get me wrong, we have some offensive woes, but we have the hitters already, it’s more about converting hits to runs. Vlad is a great addition to almost any roster, but really not our greatest need right now. We need to be casting far and wide for pitching help right now, both in the bullpen, and someone who can start.

  2. Can Vlad pitch? Thats what we need right now especially with France heading to the DL for a bit.

  3. I’ll be honest, I think our biggest issue right now is pitching. The bats have been doing well and now they Abreu is out it’s not looking so bad. But our pitchers are constantly giving up runs in the first, seventh, eighth, and ninth innings over and over it’s killing us. For supposedly having the best bullpen in the league, it certainly doesn’t feel like it. I almost wonder if it’s becoming a coaching issue.

  4. Vlad had an off year in 2023 and is currently having a terrible year in 2024. Currently .238 average with .373 slugging. He would be a two year rental.

? It seems like a really bad idea. Singleton is outhitting Vlad so far this year. Why the heck would we give up two of our top prospects for him.

  5. This is a terrible idea. Vlad is a decent hitter with only ONE great year (2021), and his defense is fucking awful. He’s not worth whatever he costs. Plus Singleton is having a better year so far.

  6. How tf do we even make this work? We don’t have a big prospect pool. BJs still want to win. They still regard Vlad highly.
