Positives from today’s Cleveland baseball:
No man hates the Chicago White Sox more than Josh “GIVE ME ALL THE SMOKE” Naylor. The offense gets 2 runs off of 9 hits and a 🆓 HBP. A struggling offense finally makes it to the 8th inning where 💨 and 🐐 both go deep with 2 out solo home runs.
Not a bad day for Ben Lively, as he goes 5.2IP, 8H, 3R, 3BB, and 2K on 98 pitches with a bad first two innings the only blip. Birthday boy Cade Smith(1.1IP) and Tim Herrin(1IP) come out of the pen, with the only baserunner coming off of a Cade walk.
Columbus has yet another day game, and newly promoted Juan Zapata shines, going 3IP, 1H, 0R, 3BB, and 1K on 48 pitches while also picking up the win. Jhonk goes deep on a 3 run home run, while Brito goes 3/5 with a double, and everybody but Lavastida gets on base at least once. We’ve gotta fix our trash bottom of the order and starting pitching to go deep in the playoffs. No excuse to have bases loaded nobody out and come away with nothing.
Sucks to lose but we saw offensive life in ways we wouldn’t have last year. Bullpen continues to be outrageous. Go win the rest of the series.

Man, other than those 2 at bats in the 8th, this was a brutal game to watch. The score doesn’t reflect it, but they got dominated by the Sox tonight.
