  3. Btw this is why he fell to the second. This shouldn’t be more than a month injury from what I understand. He should be fine by training camp right?

  4. Jones fracture. 6-12 week recovery according to Google but who knows. Does make me wonder if he had this injury on draft night and that’s why he fell.

  6. This sub was able to look years into the future for Maye and his potential, let’s do the same for all the draft picks. For those still worried, it’s a good thing we have Allen and Payne so there is no rush to play Newton if that’s what’s required.

  8. There’s no need to rush him. Outside of the fact that we’re not a contending team, we also have Payne and Allen.

  9. Did we know about this or not ? if anything, it’d made me feel a little better if the team thinks it’s manageable

    Edit – they def knew about the first fracture, but this one looks like it’s a new one on the other foot, so probably no 🙁

  10. No reason to freak out AT ALL about this… do people forget we have Allen/Payne and that Newton probably wasn’t going to start anywhere on the DL anyway?

    I think the staff will give him as much time as he needs to recover… previous regimes, I’m not sure I could say the same. We are in no hurry here.

  11. Derrick Henry and Debo Samuel came back 100%. It’s not that bad, especially since its a 3 month recovery it’s fine this time of year

  12. Actually love the Newton pick, but I really hope it’s not as serious as a Lisfranc or something

  13. Maybe Harris should also be looking into the medical staff. Is this something that they should have caught?

  14. We are actually built for this. Let him heal up this year and be ready to make an impact next year. It isnt like we were counting on him to do anything this season.
