Yeah that’s why I moved to Calgary over Edmonton when I left Vancouver. Winter isn’t as bad, lots of car stuff in the summer also closer to Vancouver for when I want to go visit friends.

I moved to Edmonton 12 years ago from Vancouver Island. I can definitely confirm this. Edmontontonians eat, sleep and breathe hockey for this reason.
What? He’s so wrong. They have rabbit Hill, the glorified tobogganing slope labelled as a “snow resort”. They aren’t allowed to call it a mountain because it is indeed a hill.
He is having a great playoff start and those hits he dishes out. Edmonton also has the Edmonton Eskimos who have won more Grey Cups than the BC Lions. Used to live 1985-1987 there hockey is bigger there than Vancouver where you have the affable Whitecaps coach on the sports segments a lot plus a variety of sports even cricket. Hope Vancouver wins game 3.
I’ve lived in Berta for 13+ years now. Grew up on the lower mainland. Edmonton is a dump, my wife gets sick of me shit talking the city (she’s grew up there).
We live just outside of Edmonton now, It’s been good to me overall, I shouldn’t bitch about it but man that city is a shit hole. Friendly, great people though.
