Nuggets-Timberwolves Game 6 Reaction: Anthony Edwards showed his LEADERSHIP – Perk | SportsCenter
big perk what the heck just happened you saw what happened you saw starving wolves get on their heels like a pair of church socks and look when you’re led by Anthony Edwards who I believe is the best young leader in today’s game a guy that’s going to bring that tenacity that positive energy and put the key in his guys back you have a chance at winning ball games and winning series we already know what type of Elite Talent he is offensively but it was the defense tonight and it was led by anth the ERS when you watching him play especially with the match up of Jamal Murray it’s personal Jamal Murray has not scored over 20 points one time in this series tonight he struggled going four for 18 and it’s not over like this is going to carry on the road the timberwoods believe that they can win on the road they’ve shown that they can win on the road especially in Denver I’m excited about game seven but they have to prepare to make sure that they that they that they’re that they know that they’re going to get yic best sight why in your opinion is Anthony Edwards the best young leader in basketball because because we saw it tonight Kev think about it Jay McDaniels 21 points right we saw Mike Conley come in 13 points you see the confidence of the others we’re watching Carl Anthony towns have some special moments throughout this postseason that we’ve never seen before and I know Anthony Els he came on you know he said it last game after his post in his postgame interview he said hey man joic is the best player in the league he said that publicly but he don’t believe that inside he believes he’s the best player and when you have a guy that has an old a young player that has an old soul like that you have something to build on and the way that he’s able to uplift his coaches and his teammates is something special to watch perk you alluded to the defense Anthony Edwards played on Jamal Murray in this game and the numbers four of 18 from the field what did he do defensively to totally take Murray out of the game well he took the match up personal Kev and and think about this for a second he did the same thing last series going toe-to-toe with Devin book and Bradley Bill just think about it right he’s picking them up soon as he come across half court he’s fighting over screens he’s making sure that he can test all jump shots he’s getting physical with him and he’s letting him know about it just about just by his style of play his attention to detail we know that he’s a stupid of the game because of how much film he watched he talked about it post game about getting in the film room with Coach fch it wasn’t just offensively is defensively as well you know we’re going to hear Denver say we have to put this game behind us it’s just one game what’s it like putting this kind of loss behind you well it’s hard it’s hard but you got to move on I mean again you still face this is they are the defending champs okay I strongly believe believe that they have the best starting five in basketball led by the best player in in the game of basketball in jic so they have to move on it’s it’s no different than when they Dro games one and two and everybody thought they was done including myself they will come out and they will be prepared coach Michael Malone is a hell of a coach he’s a Championship uh level Coach and he’s going to have those guys fired up they’re going to wash this one down the toilet they’re going to look forward clean up their mistakes and I’m pretty sure that they’re going to make shots because they did have a lot of wide openen uncontested shots that they usually make that they didn’t make but it’s going to be a broad for it all all right so all right you’re going to put this behind you but but perk you you were a leader on your team and you were a defensive stopper on the teams that you played on well I appreciate where do you begin right I mean if if you’re Denver where do you begin after Minnesota got whatever it wanted whenever it wanted tonight well we saw in game five that coach Michael Malone made adjustments for as trapping uh Anthony Edwards I mean he made him play in the crowd we I mean I I said this you know it was it was more crowded than you know a la dance floor and a nightclub while they was playing Kendrick Lamar but now is Michael Malone time to make a defensive adjustment and the thing is with Mike connley being back in the lineup he’s going to have to figure things out right do you put Aaron Gordon on Anthony Edwards full time and tell him hey this is your matchup we’re not going to help because we have to respect the others all I mean all he’s going to say you know what look at the end of the day I need everybody to man up defend your man help the helper or we may see some Zone we never know but it’s Mike him aone time to adjust I don’t know what the hell he could do um Denver does have a three-time MVP and the reigning MVP how do you assess the way niik yic played tonight I I thought he I thought he played well but you got to give a lot of credit to car Anthony towns you got to give a lot of credit to NAS Reed and you got to give a lot of credit to Rudy gobert okay cuz Rudy took a lot of heat over the last couple days and I was one of the few that was giv him the heat I thought today they did a great job of fighting right the Minnesota timberwoods putting forth the first second third fourth effort on joic look no one is going to stop joic that’s why he’s the best player in the league but what you can do is make it hard on him throw multiple bodies at him contest from behind when he’s shooting shots and I thought the perimeter players did a great job of actually getting in the trenches with their Big Fellas and making it ugly for the Denver Nuggets and yish tonight [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Applause]

I think the Timberwolves will eliminate the Champs in Game 7
Perk needs to get his facts right. Murray scored 24 in game 3. But it does matter cause he is averaging 15.6 ppg this series. He has been trash.
This has been the most entertaining, anxiety ridden, unpredictable series by far! Credit to both teams. Pure talent and heart on both sides 👏
Big perk called it from the jump
LET’S GO WOLVES!!! 💪🏀🐺
Prince would be proud 🥲
Jamal is only a superstar when he plays D.lo and Reaves LMAO
1 game series! The team that can adjust the best will win.
Jokic and them boys saving their energy for sunday. Nuggets in 7. Have a good weekend 👍
Nobody is talking about how different the games are when Conley plays vs when he doesn’t
Great game by Timberwolves ❤️let’s go game🙌 7 !!!!!!!!!!!!
Big perk and saliliquees be killin me😂 on his heels like church socks😂😂😂😂
Murray has been terrible all playoffs. Doesn't have the quickness to get open and can't throw it in the ocean. To be fair none of them played well tonight.
Game 7 is gonna be a dogfight
FACT CHECK TIMEOUT:
Double check your stats BIG PERK when you said, “Jamal Murray hasn’t scored over (20) points one time in this series.” He scored (24) points in game (3) my man. With (4) rebounds and (5) assists 😅 And they beat the brakes off the wolves 🐺 in Minnesota 117-90. 😁👍🏾✌🏾💯🏀
This series made me realize how Kendric Perkins getting better in analyzing basketball. No bias or anything just giving facts and possible way for nuggets and twolves how to win. Kudos Big Perk!
Joker isn’t the best player in the world! Jamal has the ball in his hand in clutch time! Who hit those big shots in the first rd!?
I’m sorry, but how can we just gloss over about how he said Kendrick Perkins was a defensive stopper where he was a defensive anchor I know he is not serious
Conley is the difference between winning and losing this series. Their a totally different team with him than without him. His poise and leadership makes ALL the difference, just look at the games when he plays, then look at what happens when he doesn't. Completely different team and results when he's there.
Perkins is on fire with his prediction
the most RIGGED game i ever saw – nuggets were told they cant win tonight — so they quit – no rebounding at all – no effort in anything.
🐐 talk can continue
Those 2 days off slowed The Timberwolves down. They have to do the same thing in 7 and add more intensity cuhs Denver will try to punch back.
Coaching will decide Game 7
Physicality and Skill is all on the players and a given
In game Adjustments and putting the players in advantageous matchups will decide this Game 7
Boston is winning even when they don't play
Game 7!!!!!
Baby Jordan playing like his daddy
Minnesota went off on Denver
Playoffs has been filled with series where teams are just trading blowouts
Wow didn’t realize they lost by 45
Naz Reid
Script out. Nba just want to make money with ticket sale
Perks was right
Anthony is the best leader because he is great on offense and takes defense seriously
He wants and loves defense
Perk recycling lines is crazy
The fear i have for my Mavs is whether its the Nuggets or T-wolves we'd have to play big to counter them and Powell will have to play a part…he hasnt gotten any significant play time this post season.
That was the worst loss by a defending champion in NBA history !!! It's kinda different that a regular playoff loss
These playoffs have been great for sure.
Pround to be a Wolves fan!
Guys a new sheriff is in town
