2. Anyone have any guesses for what Pete DeBoer said to Parise at the end of the line? My best guess is, “Thanks for fucking over the Wild with your contract. I really do hate that team. You and Suter did a service to the league.”

3. I was so excited when Parise signed with the Wild. He was in the Stanley Cup Finals with the Devils just before coming here. Really felt like we would be going there ourselves soon. Bummed things didn’t work out but wish him the best.

5. I can’t even imagine how annoying the Dallas fanbase will be if they win the WCF let alone the cup. They will talk about it for the next decade.

   I know this is a common thing to say about them but I would say like 80-90% of their entire fanbase don’t understand hockey even slightly.. they enjoy rivalries more than hockey itself.

   It’s such a tragedy that sunshine state teams have this leverage with Bettman to be successful.. people will say this is a loser mindset but the league as a whole depends on these franchises to generate revenue and get people in then area interested in hockey. There are so many examples of this happening. Why do you think a Canadian team hasn’t achieved anything for decades? Because they know those franchises will generate money regardless of success.. it’s the only thing they have.

   Hockey is becoming soccer and Dallas is the literal evidence that diving works to be successful.

   I fucking hate everything about that franchise and it’s fans.
