  1. That final, wild play shouldn’t distract that was another amazing AB from Morel in crunch time. When it’s do or die he locks the fuck in. He’s a star in the making

  2. It’s honestly criminal that Imanaga hasn’t gotten a win in three straight starts despite dropping his ERA down to 0.84. Come on offense, help your ace out!

  3. 8 innings lulling the Pirates into a false sense of security just so we can get a walk off win 🧠

  4. Risky 1 out send. But it was just one of those days where we could not buy a hit. Had to put all the chips in.

  5. What a game. I really thought Bellinger was going to get thrown out at home. Glad it worked out in the end. And this was a really quick game due to the great pitching performances.

The Cubs have still not lost three in a row this season!

  6. Normally, sending the runner in that situation would be insane. But with the bats being cold for the last couple of days, I wouldn’t have had faith in their ability to avoid the strikeout or GIDP either.

  7. Definitely a controversial ending but the pirates broadcast kept acting like the tag with the glove was the important part when he wasn’t holding the ball in his glove so idk.

  8. A Cubs win on a warm Saturday afternoon brings me back to sitting on my grandfather’s knee watching them on WGN 30 years ago.

  9. Two things, Morel is clutch. The whole replay was a waste of time, even if you tag the guy you have to hold on to the ball.

  10. My area has had an internet outage since Thursday afternoon, *finally* get internet back, excited to watch a game, and the game just fucking ended.

I am done with this week, man.

  11. #CUBS WIN!!!!
#FUCK THE PIRATES, FUCK THE BREWERS AND AS ALWAYS FUCK THE PACKERS!!!!!
#SHOTS OF MALÖRT FOR EVERYONE WITH DOUBLES FOR SHOTA AND BELLI AND OF COURSE CHRISSY MOREL!!!!
#WE DO HAVE THE POWER AND SPEED TO BE THE BEST IN THE NATIONAL LEAGUE!!!!!

  12. Getting down voted to shit on the main sub but I don’t care.

You gotta hold on to the ball.

    W!

  13. So the reaction of the Pirates’ pitcher has me second guessing how the final call was made. He looked disappointed before the ump called Bellinger safe. I’m assuming it’s because he saw the catcher drop the ball.

Was the decision to call Belli safe because of the dropped ball, or because the tag wasn’t applied, or…?

  14. What am I missing? Belli slides, the catcher takes the ball out of his glove mid play (Belli is still moving) Belli hits it (not intentionally) and he drops it. Doesn’t that clearly make him out?

Edit: I meant clearly make him safe.

  15. I mean terrible managing by the Pirates. Why the hell pitch to Morel when first is open? Take your chances with a career journey man and one of the struggling Happ.

    I’ll take it thanks

  16. Also I gotta give credit to CC for how he used Leiter. I was questioning why they pitched him yesterday but boy did he look sharp today.

  17. Shota is everything Yamamoto was supposed to be (yes he’s also great tbf)

  18. Shota the GOAT. People sometimes shit on Jed Hoyer, but at this rate having Shota for 4-5 years at only 57-80m is looking like an absolute steal.
