I think I found an 80’s Cubs jacket belonging to former player/coach Billy Connors

Found a jacket a small flea market in Canada, it was a sports booth that had some old sports items.

It didn’t seem like a piece of merchandise that would be sold to the public. The name embroidered on the jacket is Billy and upon further inspection we noticed the hang tag had the name “Billy Connors” written on it.

A little research showed that Billy Connors who played for the Cubs in the 60’s was the pitching coach from 1982-86 which is exactly the time this jacket would be from.

I was hoping r/chicubs could help me with confirming that this jacket was worn by coaches during this era. If anyone has any other info regarding this piece. And would something like this have value today?

Thank you!

  1. It’s a promo jacket from Budweiser. Harry might have worn one in the booth but I don’t think we would have seen this on the field.

  2. It’s not his personal jacket rather a promotional series using his name.

It’s basically like an authentic ryne sandberg jersey you could get at Wrigleyville sports.

If you like it get it.
