so Bobby Wagner is going to be one of the leaders of the defense for the Washington commanders um veteran the commanders have struggled to find linebackers that are reliable for several seasons which is weird because Ron Rivera by trade was a linebacker you would figure like that might be one spot he might get right Personnel wise did draft Jam Davis um another mistake right now has not panned out maybe Dan Quinn and the staff be able to unlock Jam Davis say Jamon has been okay he hasn’t been he’s been underwhelming for a first round pick I would I would agree but he’s he’s not been as a disaster as he initially looked he’s been underwhelming and a disappoint disappointment off the field too because part of the bill of goods we were sold on him was mature kid comes from military family winds up getting involved in the the street racing disaster that claimed the life of one woman and uh Des or Everett was behind the wheel I think he was in the trail car there or wasn’t directly involved but still like not a great look some judgment that you that you would think wouldn’t happen with the guy that you’re that you scouted to to lead you be one of the leaders on he have another offense where he was going and he like some sort of reckless driving issue too yeah no he’s so he’s yeah the there’s a reason they have they pick up his fifth year option but maybe with Bobby Wagner there he’ll learn some things well I’m hoping s down utilizes that Elite athleticism that he has and finds a way to really you know utilize that talent but Wagner’s going to be one of the leaders on the defense he went on the K Adams show here’s Bobby Wagner talking to K Adams sorry my computer stinks not playing it’s all good it’s you’re in Washington you’re back with Dan Quinn he’s your DC in Seattle 2013 y’all won a Super Bowl together why the commanders how big of going there was him and what is it about his coaching his leadership that makes you want to play with him again um you know I think the biggest thing for me is like I’ve always been um on the west coast so coming to the east coast you want to come and kind of have and be around you know some familiar faces and so you know obviously I had a you know ton of respect from him for AAR uh we we actually tried to make it happen a couple times um it just didn’t work out um structurally from a contract perspective but uh we finally got it right you know I think you know him as a person him as a leader has always been amazing I think a bigger a big thing too U was being able to be coached by uh coach Norton again um he’s like my favorite coach of all time and so being able to be back in the room with him again is is uh is great too so DQ did try to get you to go to the Cowboys this is correct why and it didn’t work out why it didn’t work out you got ask the Cowboys there and now you get to face the Cowboys twice a year that’s interesting yeah I mean but it’s no I have no feelings there it’s definitely not on the same Lev level of Seattle 183 tackles last season in Seattle for Bobby Wagner um which was actually the most in his career now he’s playing 17 games MH um that’s the thing that I feel as a fan they’ve needed is just a tackling machine cuz they just haven’t had one for whatever reason they totally deemphasized the linebacker position they felt like that was the way the league is going I guess I think they felt that they’d rather have more guys in the secondary than they would guys yeah in linebacking because the running element of NFL football is is being devalued so I think Ron and his staff were like why are we going to sink a lot of draft Capital into linebacker when we need more slot corners and corners and safeties overall to defend against the pass right philosophy of that but if teams see that that’s a weakness in your defense they’ll take advantage of they will run on you yep you know they’ll try all right does he also have quotes of who he wants to play with who’s excited to play with who’s a player on that defense that you cannot wait to work with um really honestly I’m always linebacker so louu is somebody that I’ve I worked out with with um you know back when we were in Seattle we worked out an offseason um then he went and played for the Panthers uh for a long time and then you know we got an opportunity to finally like play together so that’s that’s the P first person that come to mind uh being able to play with him I’ve watched him from afar watched his growth um he’s been an amazing player in this league so I would have to say him man every everybody talks about louu yeah you know I’m I got to say fairly ignorant about luu other than you know just like check out some brief Clips but they’re expecting big things from him they’re expecting big things everyone says you’re going to love him I mean just think about how how much deeper this position this unit is this year than last year oh it’s it’s not even close you know yeah the most unsettled I think position for them on defense is at Edge rusher where you just don’t know what you’re going to get they brought in Fowler frell and dorrence Armstrong right right you hope one of those guys can pressure the quarterbacks consistent ly but with louu and Wagner I think the linebacker position is settled and you’ll still have Jamon Davis and then you know Corner Forbes has to be better and let’s assume he does get better I think he’ll get better I mean just with coaching another year of you know going through Camp learning a lot especially from some of these guys these veterans so I don’t know I I just think the linebackers as a whole will be one of the strengths of this defense yeah I think when you look at that like louu Wagner Davis that’s pretty strong yeah pretty strong like if Davis is your is your weakest link there as long as Wagner’s not washed I don’t think because he’s old he’s 33 but like I said he had all those tackles last year look some guys just produced late in their careers I believe he’s been brought here about the same time London Fletcher came here and London balled out here for three or four years gu just knows how to play yeah so I don’t think he’s going to be showing his age I don’t think he’s just going to all of a sudden he’s going to put himself also brought here for what he’s going to bring to the locker room leader vet you know been in a million different spots these guys haven’t been in so yeah that was a huge bring the ground he can’t cover louu and Davis should be able to help right corre a little bit clean up some of that stuff actually that’s a that’s a group to be excited about I think kakes did you go through the schedule yet and come up with your official predictions do that we need to add that into the mix I can do that I can I can make that happen right he’s going to be right in that eight or nine win range probably we’re all within couple wins most likely I don’t think I don’t think you’re going to go crazy with 11 wins two years ago he was super optimistic yeah a few years ago I I got I burned myself burned myself by getting optim when fits when they signed fits it might have been the he was all in on fit I thought that we we’d have the Fitz magic well he had had a he had a a brilliant year the year before right right yeah I was banking on him coming in and leading the offense brilliant probably a stretch allegedly he injured himself on a water slide was never the same he was so lick about that he was so upset when brought that up and I believe that definitely was a factor I I I totally believe that was a factor mean it could have been a factor Yeah Yeah well yeah if I look overall on the defense you’re saying you’re saying the edge rusher okay that’s probably Fair but I’m expecting big things from uh dorren Armstrong I think look he they brought in guys that that that Quinn knew Fowler is just going to be like a contributor but you know he’s kind of like Prov guy but he’s probably a starter like contributor he’s a starter maybe Quinn looks at Jam Davis and says you know what you’re much better as a pass rushing uh linebacker yeah they’re going to figure out the best way to try to get 10 or 11 sacks out of you if if Dan Quinn can do that he’s basically a miracle worker if he could turn Jam Davis into like a sack artist and you know an elite type of pass rusher Le maybe strong average right now the guys who are projected to start at Edge rusher Dante Fowler Jr and dorren Armstrong and if I want to throw in frell I can throw in frell they combined for like 14 sacks right well frell’s been he’s been a career underachiever for where he was picked not about what um Chase and uh and what you call it Montes yeah is that about what Chase and Montes as much as they wanted to have 30 or whatever number they were dreaming about that was like two years ago but I mean I’m including including three guys and I just did the math they combined for 15 so Armstrong had seven and a half sacks now he’s going to get more playing time here than he did exactly so you would expect him to have a little more production hasn’t done it yet they’re going to be better on both sides of the ball cakes cuz the coaching’s better well the coaching couldn’t possibly have been worse well I mean it’s it’s a huge upgrade from uh Jack to DQ huge that defense was miserable and painful to watch and I have to 23 I think kingsberry is going to be a huge upgrade over benmy hu benmy was a disaster I would agree yeah yeah you’re going to have much more balance kingsberry may not be a great overall guy head guy he may not be a guy that cares much about defense but he knows how to coordinate some offense I hope that UCLA quarterback know is ready to throw the ball I hope his arm is ready which one the UCLA quarterback cuz he’s the the OC at UCLA oh the enemy oh right hope that quarterback’s ready I’m following you now gotcha gotcha yeah cuz Z bem is goingon to want to put up big num so get back in the lead he’s in for a pass happy scheme out there in LA if you’re a young kid you might want to go there yeah you might cuz you know they’re going to sling it yep Ethan garbers hope his arms ready that’s your guy hope his arms nice and L potentially or Dante Mo I’m not quite sure who do you s l coaches I mean uh back yeah I not DTR that’s the last one that I knew garbers is number one on the death is DTR still with Cleveland or did he get moved I think he’s is but they have like five or six quarterbacks CU he had a game or two was decent and then he had some catastrophic games I think right well he had decent games in the preseason from what I remember I think he didn’t have a decent game at the regular season I don’t think so I think he was thought he had one I think he was a disaster when they had to go to him oh cuz I’m a DTR guy I’m still team DTR I am sorry okay sorry you you love backup level quarterbacks I’m just saying I think he can play in three games that he started he was one and two as a team he completed 53% of his passes what was his best game one touchdown four picks best game there wasn’t a best game his best game was they beat Pittsburgh 13- 10 he was 24 for 43 for 165 yards all right I’ll take it and a pick 165 I’ll take it all right whatever he was defin sounds like you got a weird thing for DTR I don’t understand think he’s talented I I actually think taled in college I know that he’s got a long way to go jury’s still out all right I’m still team DTR I’m not giving up on him yet yeah I do think I will abandon him at some point but not yet they do have a ridiculous um depth chart they have a law Jam in in Cleveland yeah they have um obviously Watson Deshawn Watson they’ve got jamus DTR they’ve got jamus and did they bring back dos no they got Tyler Huntley oh Tyler Huntley well the only two that matter there are the Shawn Watson and James Winston where’ Josh dos end up who knows I think he’s he’s with the Niners I think unless he moved he’s P’s backup we’ll have to go around we’ll have to do a where are they now back up qu he signed with a Niner where are they now 49 but I guess we’re going to miss on a lot of them where they’re actually at
