yeah I wasn’t buying it until last year that Christian Yelich was back and some of his other false starts that he’s had but he is back now is he better than ever he’s back to his old form we’ll talk in 2019 that’s F five years ago I mean where did that go where Christian Yelich injured his knee and for the last five years I think that’s one of the reasons why that the he has been laboring like he the Brewers are have always been my favorite sports team in the state of Wisconsin I know a lot of people out there the Packers are their favorite team but mine is the Milwaukee Brewers Milwaukee Brewers without question grew up going to games from the 70s on up on up and uh man yes I am there every night watching the games covering the games when I’m at the ballpark but uh you know what I love it and uh you know I just want to see our team sneak through and just get to another world series I mean little did I ever think in 1982 that when the Brewers lost game seven in St Louis that that would be when I was 15 years old the last time the Brewers would be in the fall classic but that’s that and we got to move on let’s get this team into a a postseason once again 28 and 20 once again uh you know when things look Bleak they blew a lead tonight they had a 4 to one lead they they blew the lead but come roaring back in the eighth Inning on a two-run triple by Christian Yelich puts them ahead and Yelich uh to me I think the guy is just on top of his game uh last year when he hit the what 21 home runs and B at 271 people were just glamoring and just saying wow look how good Christian Yelich he’s back to his old form and I’m like that wasn’t Christian Yelich that’s not what we paid for that’s not what Mark anthonio paid for this guy guy we saw tonight and this guy that we’ve seen all season long that’s the Christian Yelich from 2019 and before 2018 you know when he got here 2018 that’s the Yelich the MVP Yelich that is him he is him he has returned after five years I mean you see him running around the base pass today I mean that’s just uh Rock on the broadcast has said this before uh talking about Moler and Y running the base pass back of the day and yes those guys were just amazing to watch them get see a ball go in the Gap and see y y would take like four steps to get from first base to third base it seemed and Yelich is that same kind of guy tonight he hit that ball rocketed that ball and he was Off to the Races so yeah I don’t want to hear anybody saying oh let’s not jinx him now come on that is loser talk I don’t want to hear any Jinx talk at all you know let’s talk the truth man Yelich I’ve waited for a while and I do think he is back and I said a few weeks ago now about a month ago you know the Christian Yelich apology letter which I need to write because I thought maybe his better days were behind him it’s taken a while but this is the Christian yage who the Brewers desperately need in the heart of this order desperately need because things are falling apart around them around the Brewers with injuries you know four five starters on the injured list as we speak with Ross going on right now they need Yelich more than ever to be the MVP self that he is and I think he’s returned to that he’s returned to that um you know between him and contras those got to be the two big bats going forward they have been so far this year when Yelich has been healthy he’s been in contras g a two-run single tonight um yeah and I don’t care you know I I um I was on a show and somebody asked me well contras putting up MVP numbers and I’ve talked a little bit about this I don’t care about MVP I don’t care about Allstar appearances sure they’re nice Awards to win and going to win All-Star game I care about Team Championships that’s what I care about doesn’t matter to me Pat Murphy wins manager of the year or if we get seven guys on the All-Star team okay no what matters to me most is I don’t want to be playing for 27 hours in October I want to win a i WI a pen it I want to go to the postseason okay we’re long overdue for that as Brewer fans we are and some of you guys who are my age you know that as well as I do you know who’ve lived through everything from 19 1992 was a great year they didn’t make the postseason but Phil Garner’s first year in 1992 32 years ago and then since then you know be uh after that they didn’t make a uh they didn’t make a run at a postseason season until 20 2007 yeah maybe 2006 a little bit but 2007 um and then you know bust the door down and got to the postseason in 2008 so from 1982 to 2008 26 years the Brewers did not see the postseason and now in the last few years I’ve seen the numbers out there the Brewers like the third best team in baseball since uh what 2011 or whatever okay whatever I look at postseason victories at this point and what you’re doing in the postseason and that’s what this team has got to accomplish and they’re working at it right now and they’re providing us sometimes the Brewers let’s face it are let’s face it sometimes the Brewers are boring as hell to watch they are because who we’re sitting here and some guy is you know uh gone three up three down through five innings against the Brewers some pitcher we’ve never heard of before and you know the Brewers stranding guys maybe on base and you know that sort of thing uh sometimes get into those ruts that you just want to pull your hair out and turn the TV on maybe turn on the Golf Channel for a couple of innings uh and just because you’re just frustrated watching it okay tonight was one of those games frustrating well at least the bats came to play tonight they were stranding guys but they came to play and they rallied would have been a tough loss I said yesterday that Monday’s loss was the toughest one of the Year this would have been another tough one to lose but yelish came through and delivered delivered for this team when they needed it most Robert Gasser Robert Gasser gave them six Innings now was he as sharp as he uh had been in the previous two no but he went out there after the bullpen had been taxed heavily on Monday and gave them some much leaded needed length going to six Innings that was a great contribution for for gaster and the offense picked him up finally you know the offense picked him up got him off the hook Trevor McGill gets the save his seventh Cubs rallied and beat Atlanta they stay a game and a half in back of the Brewers but Robert Gasher Gasser six Innings one of the stars of the night pitching the six Innings and providing and the bullpen too how about that three Innings two hits Bullpen just keeps coming in taxed or not taxed just keeps doing its job but at least gaster got him through the first six Innings which they needed and then Migel comes on gets the save in the seventh inning uh Meyers Tobias gets the win just called up from Triple A Tobias gets the win uh we’ll talk about another starter going down and you know the Brewers just against the kid you know he’s down to Triple A most of this season so far why is he playing against ahead of terang now terang his numbers he’s only hit he’s at 17 official at bats four hits he’s batting 235 he’s batting 324 against right-handers I don’t care all right I don’t want to be sitting terang every time a ley’s on and I certainly don’t want to sit that guy two games in a row cam we coming off a three hit game on Sunday I don’t care who’s pitching I want Bryce terang in that everyday lineup play him play him instead of a 150 hitter I don’t know you know at some point you got to go away from these percentages and some of these stupid numbers okay and who’s the better who who do you feel more comfortable at the plate with lefty or righty I mean yellich hit a lefty in the eighth inning tonight you didn’t see anybody pinch hit for Christian Yelich Bryce terang don’t pinch hit for him keep him out there now he did pinch it later on in the game and with a righty out there but still terang want him starting every game second base every game in that lineup Les he needs a day off don’t bench Terrain ever not ever ever ever we’re trying to win a pennet and we’re trying to develop guys too and we got to get it he’s got to hit left-handers every time a left-hander is on a m we can’t be PCH benching him he’s a good player he’s he’s finally founded okay maybe last year if you want to do that that’s okay but to me Bryce Trang is knocking on the door for an All-Star should have mentioned Allstar I just talked about how I could care less about Allstars but yes Trang knock it on the door to be a brewer or Allstar so that’s my rant please get terang in that everyday lineup stolen base leader Lefty against Lefty I don’t care okay another starter goes down uh Joe Ross uh did go down uh on the injured list so that makes now Five Guys Five Guys that the Brewers were you know well well I shouldn’t say Five Guys because five guys would mean including Woody in that and we knew Woody was going to be on the injured list so um Ross on the injured list Hall on the injured list junis and Miley and if you want to throw Woody in there okay but we weren’t counting on him anyway so five preferred starters on the injured list plus Corbin Burns trade it but uh Ross Hall junis Woody and Miley how about that and here’s your starting rotation as of right now here’s your starting for rotation for a team that’s in first place Freddy who pitches on Wednesday Bryce Wilson who basically was a middle relief guy Gasser who was in the minor leagues and Colin Ray who’s pitched his heart out struggled his last two outings but Colin Ray so that’s who we got right now is four guys here are four healthy starters Freddy Wilson Gasser and Ray man and they’re still in first place and somebody says well maybe they need to package a couple of things up and trade for a starter it’s not happening just yet you know and let’s face that they’re not renting a starter they’re not trading any other prospects especially some of their top level prospects they’re not unloading for a rental you know this isn’t 1993 where teams have done that teams are a little bit more reluctant to do that give up their farm system and certainly the Brewers are in no position any guy the Brewers pick up in their starting rotation is a guy who’s going to be a Reclamation project okay maybe an older starter an older veteran that they can get for a lower level minor league player um kind of like what they did with Carlos Santana last year at first base lower level minor league player they got they gave up so anyway Freddy Wilson gaser Ray in that rotation you have the Brewers still in first place still in first place we come back we’ll talk we’ll read some of your tweets getting pretty tired about it as well and Murphy trying to explain that to the media after the game feel like every media press conference after the game he’s spending like five minutes talking about the the virtues of that the contact play did it again tonight based on positioning of the players and this and this I hate that contact play you know has anybody ever scored has anybody in baseball ever scored on the contact play unless it went through the infield or a ball was bobbled the contact play ground ball you go on contact throw home out by 10 feet let’s stop the contact play I’m with
