How much do Yankee fans still HATE the Astros?
hey everybody Zach hample here at Yankee Stadium and I predict that today is going to be crazy because the Yankees are facing the Astros and we all know how that can go and for the Astros Justin Verlander pitching so that should be pretty cool but before all of that goes down I’m just looking forward as usual to getting inside this place nice and early running around hopefully catching some baseballs during BP and as you can see it is a glorious day so I think it’s going to be a really good time let’s get to it uhoh the Astros fans oh yeah just be safe tonight oh yeah well hello hi oh my God I’m so nervous how you doing man say hi to YouTube hi YouTube so quick little recap I just started working here and you the one that got me into like baseball and I come out first Bowl in honor of you is at home is that right yeah and so you can see Carlos rodon right here getting in some extra work that is Clay Holmes walking across the field and by the way guys I was actually selfie filming this part of the video as you can see that young fan making a nice catch all those kids got baseballs I got inside the stadium a little before my videographer did so I had my iPhone in one hand wait for it wait for it wait for it hey nice catch there Godzilla and my glove on the other hand so it was tough to film you can see the players are being generous with toss-ups and look at this one right here right here right here right here toss it up please right here right here all right that’s a lucky bounce right there and that was Yankees pitcher Ron Marino who had thrown me that ball I apologize for the shoty videography but I was doing my best and you can see how Yankees BP wrapped up my nice [Music] catch all right nice nice all right Andy Mr pet could you trous it up please any chance despite the hundreds of Yankee games that I’ve been to over the years I never got a baseball from Andy Pettit so this one right here it’s pretty special it’s nice to be able to add his name to the list and that’s it for Yankees BP and you can see well out there in the infield and along the left field foul line the Astros are just getting loose taking a little infield practice so they should start taking batting practice any moment now I’m get those balls you’re about to see a little flurry of activity right here and for first of all I propos that climbing over seats should be an Olympic event and by the way like a dumbass I neglected to film myself snagging a ground rule double hit by Jose Altuve anyway look at this long home run lands in the bleachers and check out this Ricochet right to the guy wearing the Altuve Jersey and just look at the chaos that followed after that hey and that actually looks good because my videographer is here [Music] my I did everything right during the Astros final group of BP everybody was right-handed and I figured that those guys would be pulling some balls into the Left Field seats but as it turned out they completely sucked and that actually matches the Astros performance so far this 2024 season it is really strange to see this team looking so flat and so that home run that I caught in right field well that was my last ball of the day at least so far number five which is a decent total I will definitely take it and for right now I’m just chilling in left field because there’s still a whole lot of time before this game begins and I want to bring you guys some shots of berlander warming up in the bullpen so I’ll probably stay here for the time being but first while there is a little bit of time I got to give a shout out I got to give some love to my friends over at SEI because because they are sponsoring this video now SEI as you are probably aware is now the official ticket Marketplace of Major League Baseball so they’ve got you covered for all of your ticketing needs and SeatGeek has given me a special code that I can pass along to you guys and you can use it to save 15% on your tickets it’s a great deal and I’ll explain how it works in just a moment but first just to refresh your memory as to what CP is and what it looks like all right it’s an app that gathers tickets from all over the Internet into one spot to make it so easy to buy them it is very user friendly and I highly recommend it and one thing to keep in mind is that when you pull up the seating chart and you see all those colorful dots you guys want to focus on the green ones because those indicate the best deals the red ones eh not so much and also Cy breaks every ticket from 0 to 10 so you can tell right away how good of a deal you’re getting they have a buyer guarantee so you can shop with confidence and ready for this it’s the only ticketing app that lets you exchange your seats ahead of the event through a feature called swaps that is pretty cool in my opinion and as for saving the money look just check the description for this video you’ll find a link there and then you click it just sign into your seat or sign up for the app again that’s very easy and the code is Zach 15 but make sure you spell it right Z a15 all right and this onetime code is good for any one purchase and will save you 15% with a maximum Savings of $25 so how do you recommend that you take advantage and just remember that on seat Deek every day there are more than 70,000 events so even if you’re not seeing the Yankees or Major League Baseball or Sports at all there are plenty of other events where you can buy tickets and today I bought my tickets on seek yes that’s right over in right field on the short porch so get ready for that action but like I said going to hang out here and Justin Verlander should be out in just a little bit still got black here really hard to knock them off the [Music] we one of the best at to [Music] got your hearing aids on Justin go I hope you guys are enjoying these shots of a living legend Verlander has more than 250 wins and 3,000 strikeouts so yeah I think it’s safe to say that this man is ending up in the Hall of Fame anyway this game is Just minutes from starting so I am cruising through the right field Concourse and heading on down to my seat let’s do this [Applause] the first inning of this game has looked like a home run derby Kyle Tucker with the solo shot in the top of the first and then in the bottom of the frame Alex Verdugo with a three-run shot to give the Yankees a 3 to1 lead so the living legend is not looking so sharp as of now but personally I hope this trend continues to home runs every inning for the whole night uh yeah sign me up for [Music] that9 I’m in your head s I’m in your head okay I Us St hair like that when was [Applause] 18 oh that wow big man down what are those two [Applause] talking Sono it’s my birthday [Music] [Applause] this game has moved along to the fourth inning Yankees are now winning 4 to one and Alex Verdugo has knocked in all the runs for the bombers and I got all these baseballs you know in batting practice I haven’t given any away yet but I do see a few kids sitting in this section back there so I think once uh the moment is right I’m going to hand these out [Music] thank you so much man thank you appreciate [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Applause] [Music] hope 2 [Applause] this game has officially turned into a laugher top of the seventh now Yankees are up 8 to one and New York has hit two more home runs Anthony vulpi went oplo onto the short porch and then John Carlos Stanton blasted one it was more than 118 mph off the bat into the visitors bullpen in left Center so that’s where we stand right now and you can just see how packed it is out here I mean I’m trying to catch home runs and these are cool seats but there’s like no space to work with uh there was just a wacky little play at second base this young man is shouting his head off I like it I like it so uh couple more Innings to go out [Applause] [Music] here ohy [Applause] come on by the time the eighth inning rolled around the Yankees two biggest stugs were out of the game Trent Grisham replaced Aaron judge in center and over in right field o Waldo Cabrera took over for Juan stto but you know that’s what happens when the team has a nine run lead rest the superstars because it is a long season and now a lesser known guy on the Yankees is Michael tonan and thanks to my cool seats out here by the bullpen I had a nice view of him all 6’7 of him warming up and then entering the game in the top of the nine and it’s a good thing that the Yankees had a big lead because their defense was sloppy and it led to two unearned runs scoring But ultimately tonin was able to get out of the jam getting Jake Meyers to ground out to end the game and hey remember what I said after batting practice about how much the Astros are sucking this year I wasn’t lying as of this moment they’re in last place and of course that might change by the time I post this video but man Verlander gave up seven runs in five innings as his team managed to collect just three hits and coincidentally that’s how many hits Alex Verdugo had tonight and it’s also how many hits Lon stto had the Yankees offense was very solid and they won this game 10 to3 and as for me well I think I am once again as usual the last fan inside the stadium as wow the ground screw is bringing the tarp out in the background and the stadium lights are going a little bit crazy so just a few things quickly and then I got to go and jump on the subway I got five baseballs today that brings the lifetime total to 12516 and at the very start of the day I talked about how crazy things would get and I would say it was about this crazy I mean this place is always kind of nuts I thought Yankee fans would really bring the energy tonight and give it to the Astros Lou you want me to go all right Lou wants me to go we’re going to do a little walk and talk all right we’re going to go take it easy this is what happens when you’re the last fan so you know I guess it’s because the Astros are so bad that maybe Yankee fans got lazy and they didn’t feel like piling it on I don’t know but it was still a fun time really cool seats check the description for the seat geek stuff save some money when you buy tickets as we walk out here toward the Great Hall um I feel like I had all kinds of other things to say but I guess that’s it so thank you guys for watching my next video I predict will be coming to you from Baltimore so get ready for that and uh good night oh I’m locked in oh this one’s over have a good night
Things got crazy in the Bronx, and YOU’D be crazy not to save money on your tickets. Use code ZACK15 for 15% off tickets on SeatGeek:
https://seatgeek.onelink.me/RrnK/ZACK15
But okay, what was so crazy? Oh, ya know, people cheering when Jose Altuve painfully fouled a ball off his foot. Lots of cursing. Lots of middle fingers. Food being thrown in the bleachers. And to top it all off, future Hall of Famer Justin Verlander was the starting pitcher and I got some GREAT shots of him warming up before the game. Oh! And I was close to Juan Soto and Aaron Judge during the game, and there was a little kid in my section with nunchucks, so really, what’s NOT to like about this video?
I will say, though, that things were 1,000 times crazier when the Astros visited Yankee Stadium back in 2021. If you haven’t yet seen this video (which has gotten over 2 million views), definitely take a look:
That old video was filmed by “Fenway Chris” and edited by ME! This new video was filmed on May 7, 2024 by Rachel Messbauer, and it was edited by Zac Gutherman (@zg_films on Insta). Thanks for watching.

What is your prediction with the Reds, if they can stay healthy? Just started getting baseballs. Lifetime total is 3. Getting them for my daughter. She will be 2 next month.
