The San Francisco 49ers STOLE A QB KILLER…

getting to the quarterback might be the biggest thing on San Francisco’s mind every offseason and while everyone focuses on their early round picks like Nick Bosa I don’t think many truly understand just what they are doing with Robert Bill Jr while bill was selected in the fifth round of the draft last year he truly has all the skills you want have a dominant pass rusher his first step was the fastest of his entire class as well as running his 40- yard dash in 4.48 seconds when you also throw in the fact he’s 6’4 and has a wingspan of nearly ft you can see why Chris Cera definitely pounded the table for this guy and headed into his second year I wouldn’t be surprised if he set the entire league on fire so in this video I’m going to examine some of Robert Bill Jr’s film from last year and how is athleticism as well as the coaching from Chris ceric is already standing out on tape and how this might project to him being an absolute monster this upcoming season perhaps one of the most important things a young rookie can do is stop the run as well as getting outside contained and Robert Bill Jr surprised me in this as during this rookie season you can really see on this PL how Robert Bill Jr does an excellent job of actually squeezing this Gap as well as keeping that outside contain on Carson Wentz and finally once he determines Carson Wentz actually did hand it off he’s pretty quick helping get this running back down on the ground or in a similar way on this commander game you can see how Bill isn’t just shooting in recklessly he really gets outside contained first and that’s something I really love out of this young rookie I see plenty of defensive ends just trying to go to the ball carrier but I also see those same defensive ends just being burned on reverses I don’t think bill is going to be one of those guys and while everyone emphasizes the importance of getting outside contained in the running game it’s equally important when you’re facing a mobile quarterback like the Niners are here against Carson Wentz why this play really stands out to me is because Robert be Jr shows that he’s an extremely aware rookie he’s able to not only just identify where Carson Wentz is going but also changed his pass rush to ensure that he’s able to keep him with inside pocket that’s some highlevel stuff for someone who really didn’t have that much opportunities at Georgia but that’s not the only thing that really stands out to me rbj also shows a great ability to pursue plays his motor is always running hot in the similar way to his college days his 448 speed really helps them chase down these quicker ball carriers another under radar skill for a law of defensive lineman is their ability to throw off tight and droughts on this play for instance you can see how Robert Bill Jr does a great job of disrupting this route with which helps Winters cover this tight end and ultimately helps lead to this incompletion throughout the year I also thought Robert Bal Jr did a better job of understanding how to use his length and hands his advantage on this play versus the commanders for instance I want to focus how Robert Bill Jr set up the swim move first bill does an excellent job of engaging with his long arms he then walks out his arms and drives this tackle upfield in a hurry and once all the tackle momentum is going that way he almost uses a Jud throw in combination with the swim move to try to get to the quarterback and it’s extremely effective going into season 2 I think we’re just going to see more refinement in these past moves a big reason why I believe Robert Bill Jr will be able to unblock his skill set is the coachability he showed off last year on this play for instance while Robert Bill Jr does an excellent job of squeezing this tight end he gets too far inside and this allows Carson Wentz to scramble for a couple of yards and while this happened at the end of the half Robert B Jr made sure to address this going forward then later in the game you can see how Robert Bill Jr understands how he made a mistake gets further outside on this play and ultimately that leads to him getting his first sack in the NFL but for me I don’t think this is going to be Robert B Jr’s last sack rather because of all the refinement he showed off as a rookie and having one of the best defensive line coaches in the entire league in Chris ceric I expect Robert Bill Jr to have a major impact on this te this upcoming year and while he might not start for San Francisco I do think he gets a lot more opportunities this year especially when you consider the fact that he’s pretty strong against the run as well as the pass and considering he spent another off season in an NFL locker room he should have added mass and strength overall when we’re looking at Robert Bill Jr as a player he has the potential to become great in this league he reminds me of a guy like D Ford who San Francisco had a lot of success with the only question was will really be if Chris ceric can actually unlock his full potential while he’s taking great steps in becoming more refined as a player going into year 2 I want to see him get a little bit better with his hand placement and eliminate some of those rookie mistakes I pointed out but ultimately these are just my thoughts about Robert Bill Jr and I’d like to hear your thoughts down below and who you think will really stand out this season it would also mean a ton if you liked and subscribed and as always I hope you guys have a great rest of your day

  1. I’d love to see RBJ ball out tbh he’s on my list of 49ers to potentially breakout along with Ben Bartch, Kalia Davis with Armstead and Kinlaw gone, Tayler Hawkins I’d love to see step up, Brandon Parker I could see outplaying McKivitz at RT, Eric Saubert I can bring a decent backup for Kittle and Terique Owen’s and Drake Nugent I see them showing how talented they are
