  1. I’ll be sure to tell my Uncle who drove from Ohio for his first game at MSG we got to see 2.82 expected goals haha.

In all seriousness it was an exciting and close game up until the own goal. We left the arena feeling much more positive than I was expecting given a shutout. I’m not blaring any alarm bells yet.

  2. 2 flukey goals are the only ones Florida scored; rangers hit 2 posts. Rangers in 7.

  3. This is about what I was expecting.

It definitely sucks that we weren’t able to cash in on any of our 7 high danger chances, but from the eye test, I wasn’t nearly as upset as I was after the end of game 4&5 versus Carolina. If you didn’t watch the game, looked at the scoreboard, and watched the goal highlights, it would’ve painted a picture of a horrendous loss, but I really didn’t see it that way.

No one thought this series would be easy. We need to make some minor changes and I see the series swinging back in our direction.

  4. You mean the President’s Trophy, record-setting Rangers who have already won two rounds of these playoffs in fact stand a chance against a lower-seeded team?

Really, this is nice to see. It was a deflating game but the Rangers just lacked execution. Hopefully this data will encourage folks to stop writing this series off. The game was not that bad!

  5. Just as I expected. We clearly got outplayed and should be panicking right now and throw in the towel /s

Expected. If that first goal didn’t go in, it would’ve most likely went to OT 0-0

  6. They still lost you can analyze the numbers all day but it doesn’t change anything

  7. Honestly, I felt like both teams were playing pretty poorly, with the Panthers just being able to manage 1 flukey goal to our none. It seems like this is a pretty even matchup, and I imagine this will go to 7. But, tomorrow is a must win. Trying to win 4 out of 5 is going to be a tough task.

  8. I assume Lavi is sifting through these comments. Sit Roslovic. Chytil to line 1. Cullye to line 3. Rempe to line 4.

  9. The team gave up ***ONE*** goal to a Panthers player. One. The Rangers are fine

Yes, they had issues last night that need to be fixed. But like…it wasn’t a dominating win by the Panthers.

  10. Confirms the eye test. That’s not always the case. Rangers with breakaways, posts, multiple net front scrambles. Meanwhile, an innocent pass deflected in by Laf sealed it. We did not score but a regression to mean indicates FL was fortunate, and despite ‘all that pressure’, FL essentially scored one goal.

  11. yeah this was a good game. i enjoyed being there. people need to watch again. we didn’t play poorly
