Tyrese Haliburton’s injury CHANGES EVERYTHING – Michael Wilbon | SportsCenter
let’s talk about game two some more with the Hall of Famer Michael wilbon who joins us here on set Mike the Pacers kept cutting it from double digits down into single digits looking like they were prepared to make a run than that last time at 7268 what happened afterwards um you think it’s close you think we’re going to get a drama like game one you know here’s Boston on the ropes again you want to put some pressure on them they haven’t responded all that well to pressure and Tyrese halberton goes out of the lineup with that hamstring something you don’t know the ENT yet it’s being called so guess what you know enough you’re athlete enough to know about hamstrings yeah me halberton missed 10 games in the regular season stand when he had the hamstring injury the first time and he was never really the same most of the rest of the regular season only until the playoffs when we saw him put up those prolific numbers again and get Indiana through two series but now wow it’s hard it’s really hard for Indiana they couldn’t run any offense the rest of the game so that 7268 lead just crept and crept and crept and crept and Boston just sort of slowly pulled away so now you go with TJ McConnell for game three if you can’t go how does that change things it changes everything I mean he’s their best player and they don’t have so many experienced players yeah the piters have some depth but not there and McConnell really gives them something and I like to see them both playing together some but man um their options are going to be limited if if we’re still speculating right you know if halberton is not able to go at full strength you can’t just have him out there right not with the Celtics not with Drew holiday we saw the mistes exact and the pace was what 99 shots last game and 22 turnovers and like 120 possessions yeah you need Hal Burton and we don’t know what his situation is going to be this segment would not be complete though if we didn’t talk about Jaylen Brown and what he did play off career high and he was aggressive from the start yes he was he picked up where he left off off getting that three to get game one into overtime for the Celtics and so while everybody concentrates on Jason Tatum Jaylen Brown is saying okay you know I was talking to Chris Paul about this about the best starting fives in the league and he just nodded we started talking about he and Bob Myers about the best starting fives in the NBA right now the Celtics if they don’t have the best starting five what are they two best yeah and so the best one remaining and so it’s not just Jason Tatum you’ve got Jaylen Brown out there playing at that level where you can have a a game saving three out of the corner an impossible shot to deal with game one and then you have this great great start and finish to game two yeah so I don’t is it true Jaylen Brown didn’t make any all-nba teams let me just let me take myself off I voted for him I voted for him second team everybody who voted for him second team it wasn’t me I voted for I don’t understand yeah Jaylen Brown not being an all League performer I don’t think he understands either but he wanted to send a message about Des message sent done [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Applause]
Michael Wilbon reacts on SportsCenter to Game 2 of the Eastern Conference Finals where Tyrese Haliburton left in the third quarter due to a hamstring injury. The Boston Celtics would go on to defeat the Indiana Pacers, 126-110, behind Jaylen Brown’s 40 points to take a 2-0 series lead.

Haliburton will miss Game 3
Goodness, the road has been PAVED for the Celtics in the East. Even more pressure to get it done now.
And best wishes to Haliburton. ❤
Boston was leading but they were “on the ropes”😂
I find it funny how these nba analysts say Boston hasn't responded well to pressure. The Heat and Cavs games were mostly close in the 4th before Boston went on a run and made it look like a blowout. To me, that's clutch.
If Jaylen Brown gets hit in the chest again, the Celtics season is over
Boston was gonna win in 5, but now they might win in 4. Really does change everything
Dont give up, Tatum is going to be selfish next game
People talk a lot about tatum but jaylen brown is as good as him
I had the Celtics sweeping the Pacers, so I see no changes.
To be honest as a pacers fan we werent winning this series. Even if Hali is gone. But if there was a hope to steal a game or two it will be gone now
Funny how these stars keep getting "injured" to protect their brand and their money
Tbh Mcconnell has been better than hali certain games this playoffs
With Hali or even without him Boston facing Pacers in the ECF is walk in the park for them 😢
Thibs’ fault.
Its the celtics fault.. JB trip halibensimmons
Boston easiest run to the finals ever… that's why karma will catch up with them
If the Celtics go up 3-0 on Indy on Saturday night, it's over for the Pacers in Game 4. I wanted them to win at least one game in the series because I did say Celtics in 5.
The media really needs to stop disrespected Brown. They will put tatum on thumbnails even if it wasnt his night. Brown has been waiting to take over this team since IT was here. Then Hayward, horford, and kyrie got in his way, then tatum got drafted and for no reason was made the face and given the keys cutting off browns progress. Brown came in the league as a dunker thats it. He literally has gotten better every year. Now hes guarding the other teams best player while being efficient and dropping 25-35 pts. He's tired of the media glazing other players now hes playing like the trophy belongs to him and everyone is an enemy. He said in his post game that some of the guys on all nba arent half as good as him on both sides of the ball. He's definitely evolved.
They gave the series away after game 1
Thanks for acknowledging JB being an all NBA no matter what they say. Whoever they are…
Here comes the sweep🧹🧹🧹🧹🧹🤣🤣🤣🤣
the easiest cakewalk to the finals of all time just got even easier lmao
It changes nothing. pacers losing no matter what
Tyrese on the court or not.. same out come "sweep"
Great guys, horrible Disney network.
Jaylen brown 50 3rd team votes, 0- 2nd team votes. Either NBA is lying or you are wilbon.
There is no objectivity in US sports journalism. It's about name and fame for them.
How do you explain a team with the best records in the league? It has one all NBA team whilst another that got in through play-in (Lakers) have two all nba players. If they're that good why isn't it showing in results?
Boston getting a free past to the Finals due to injuries to opponents during these playoffs, let's hope the Western Conference Champs stay healthy and give them some competition.
Halibumton pulling a fake injury, Damian Lillard style. Like Dame did so he can remove the blame for losing in the first round.
Halibumton has the ugliest no look pass, just like his jumpshot.
Even with Haliburton, they cant survive Boston. Its over for the Pacers.
Celtics's center is 37y/o Al Horford because KP is injured. GTFO with us having it easy 😂
Jaylen Brown is handicap has 1 hand force him left n play him just as physical as Boston is playing n he wouldn't do half of what he's doing . Hes a one hand bandit
