FILIP HRONEK TRADE FOR MARTIN NECAS? ELLIOTTE FRIEDMAN SPEAKS (Vancouver Canucks News & Rumours)
[Music] yeah yeah yeah I know I could have talked about this yesterday but I wanted to get that CAU kymi conversation in there man I really did so yesterday we did make a video talking about the Vancouver Canucks and the reported interest that they have in Carolina Hurricanes forwards we had discussed ypar KMI and we had discussed Marty naturis and these are both two guys who are on totally different sides of the fan perception when you consider just how good some of them are I mean yesp kot kinami is not good he’s overpaid he’s a bottom six player he wasn’t really playing all too well and we recognize that maybe a buyout could be in store for him who really knows but Elliot Freedman said no sorry teams like him so they’re not going to buy him out there are teams that maybe want to trade for him and the Vancouver connects are apparently included in that Martin naturis on the other hand is today’s topic because when it comes to him we’ve talked about his entire profile for a while now and teams like Calgary Montreal Philadelphia all being interested potentially in his Services just in case you needed to scoop one more time NES is 25 years old 6218 right-handed Center right-wing player signed by the hurricanes on a 3 million aav deal that expires this summer as an RFA nature just this previous season had 53 points in 77 games played and 71 points in 82 games played last year he out produces playoff production this season but was actually used lesser than he was the previous season that 71p point year saw NIS be the number one point producer on the Carolina Hurricanes he was super important but this next season he kind of took a backseat to some of the top guys he was still fourth overall in points which is great but with the Carolina Hurricanes prioritizing Seth Jarvis and with their being a little bit of Doubt as to whether or not n’s role with the team will be too guaranteed there has been some Rumblings that says yeah this guy would probably prefer a change of scenery he’ll want to go to someplace where he can be guaranteed big minutes and a lot of these other teams are seemingly trying to be up to the task and giving him that so the Vancouver KS apparently are involved too we talked about this yesterday but there was a segment on The FAN 590 where Jeff Merrick and Elliot fredman went out there and talked about it fredman said that he thinks that Natures is a big one I think there’s something to the Vancouver Canucks the Canucks like the player I don’t think they’re the only ones and then you had yourselves this conversation which was also brought up this was brought up by Grady on another tweet from yesterday but fredman mentioned that Marty nus was in the reported deal for Alias pson involving Carolina and Vancouver with all the smoke around nus fredman wonders if the Canucks could Circle back and he Nam dropped Philip cronic because the Carolina hurricanes need defense now before we dive into this oh yeah we do have to acknowledge firstly that having two check guys get traded for each other and two check guys that happen to be pretty good this might actually be a legendary trade for cheze hockey history I’m not all too sure what the rest of their history looks like but a check for a check and you can debate if the value is actually equal there which is pretty astounding Philip pronic of course though is the Vancouver Canuck guy that we are talking about in this video the last few videos I will say that we have made about Filip pronic have been very negative 3 days ago I made a video saying Hey let him go the guy wants a bit too much money the guy is not moving he fell off in the second half of the season in terms of his point production and then the video we made one day later went over how Philip ponic got pissy at jpat because Jeff Patterson was asking cronic about the lack of production that we had just talked about it’s been a pretty wild 48 hours for Philip pric in this city and with all the reports about his money and how much he wants and just how good he was so to speak with the Canucks this previous season he was fantastic in the first half just nothing in the second half he was apparently dealing with some sort of pain in his elbow which I don’t know you could go out there and say if it is or isn’t but he did also adamantly say in the press conference where he got pissy with that he has no injury so if you want to believe it at face value okay the guy wasn’t hurt he just played poorly what else is there to explain with fil pronic potentially not coming back to the Vancouver connects and I only say potentially because $8 million a year is way too high there’s no way the conu would sign into a contract like that when you think about the idea of heric getting traded for natus honestly don’t even talk about the salary don’t talk about money at all I kind just default to yes because Martin hes has been proven this entire time he has been consistent this entire time Philip pronic while he is proven he is not consistent and I think that consistency really plays a part into what I value as a talent evaluator obviously you know I say oh a talent evalu I’m not a talent evaluator I’m just a guy on my computer chair talking about players I watch on my television screen but if it were up to me I’d had to choose one or the other I’d go with Marty NES and it seems like a lot of Canucks fans in the replies to this Grady tweet go out there and say similar things it’s not a bad swamp hucky bear says it would suck losing heroic but we would still have a massive upgrade on Wing there’s some solid options in free agency but there are no guarantees that Hughes can generate the same chemistry to the level that he had with honic now you can say that Quinn Hughes is a good enough player that he doesn’t need a specific kind of style to really Excel he can Excel with whomever it is that he plays with and I honestly do believe that I think that he played as good as he did with Luke Shen as he did with Philip pronic I’d say that maybe Hughes and tanv was a great pairing too you just kind of want somebody who knows what they’re doing and Philip pronic for the first half of the Year absolutely knew what he was doing the philosophy that Grady brings up also indicates that yeah if you are very adamant that Philip pronic is the right guy for Hughes I mean that’s fair but at the same time you could very well say that other guys could match up with Hughes too they’re going to be right-handed options in free agency that might be good enough to play with this team and who are not going to cost $8 million a year like chronic is asking for meanwhile for the Carolina Hurricanes if it’s already kind of a foregone conclusion that naturis is getting traded and you’re not going to get much out of him if he resigns there is a good idea here that says that Philip perona could be what this team is looking for right-handed defenseman offensively capable he’s young enough if you wanted to believe in him honic is only 26 years old and I don’t want to say that the Carolina Hurricanes absolutely need another right-handed guy but you take a look at their Decor slaven okay he’s awesome he’s going to win the leading this year great Bren Burns as good too Tony D’Angelo he’s got his issues but for the most part he is fine Demitri orov has found himself back on the third pairing which is interesting to see and Jaylen Chatfield is there as well I’m not saying that this deor is bad in fact I think this Decor is pretty solid but if Carolina is looking for just an extra guy to be a power play op option Philip pronic might very well be that guy as long as his elbow heals and he’s able to get those one-timers off again then all of a sudden you have yourselves another one of these great threats on that blue line if you wanted to commit yourself to having three right-handed defenseman who are just absolute bombs on the point yeah Brent Burns Tony D’Angelo Philip pronic send Jaylen shaffield the conu way while you’re at it that would be a really great addition actually get him back that’d be awesome but of course I dig I’m just kind of spitting off the top of the Dome here A bunch of other replies are going out there and debating whether or not heric actually would get traded but I feel like with the Vancouver connects Patrick Alvine has established that loyalty just for being here isn’t really a thing it’s like yeah if you want too much money we’re not going to give you that money I’m not KY dubis here folks I’m not going to just acquest to whatever it is that you want because you were here for a while or you were here for a season in Phil pronic case like there is a hockey team to run here and a business is a business so let me know your thoughts in the comment section below as to whether or not Patrick Alvine would consider this kind of thing in your opinion do you think it’s actually plausible could you see Philip pronic get traded for one Marty NIS and would the trade just be one for one would there have to be some extra stuff added on if there’s another defenseman involved I would love to see NIS and Jaylen Chatfield in exchange for Philip pronic and let’s just say I don’t know a second round pick or something or toss in a prospect that the conu might not actually see value in who really knows a lot of options here but this is an idea that I like a lot I want you to let me know your thoughts in the comments section as well I hope you enjoyed this vsh as99 and bye Hronek has 5 less points than Necas, Hronek also plays the most valuable position in the NHL, good young RHD who can shoot aren’t common. I get not wanting to pay him 8M, but the point still stands
hello necas, goodbye lindholm. can't afford an $8 million 3rd line centre or an $8 million d man.
Hronek for chychurun?
Ha Ha Ha Filip Hronek is asking for 8 x $8,000,000 And Carolina isn't paying him more than what they'd pay Martin Necas they don't have that kind of cap space.
Why would any team want to trade for Hronek when he is asking a ridiculous salary for what he brings?
Yzerman is laughing his butt off right now. He knew all along what Hronek's next contract negotiation would be like!
Trade pencil petey for necas asap
Rather the Whalers steer clear of Hronek. Been wanting to see them resign Chatfield; he and Necas and picks for an overpaid, big-headed defenseman seems like Vancouver going for the swindle from here.
I thought Hronek is so terrible? Now he's not so terrible? Why would Carolina want him? He's such a such a problem player. Maybe I will wait till tomorrow, to see what direction you are going with on Hronek. Maybe he will be great again.
Carolina doesnt need defence if they resign their own guys
If this clown is calling for a trade, then you can be certain it will not happen. He is always wrong, in my opinion.
From a Canucks perspective, I take that trade. Necas is also an RFA, but I doubt he’s asking 8×8. The Canucks can bring back Zadorov and then possibly sign Pesce, resign Joshua and then if there’s anything left, look at what Lindholm wants and maybe Myers for a huge discount to play bottom pairing. Pesce could be a good fit with Hughes. If Hronek won’t show up when it matters, what good is he? At least Pettersson was hurt and we’ve seen him play well in the postseason before.
The Canucks cannot afford to pay Hronek, and the Canes can’t afford to pay Necas, so trading them to each other would make them affordable all of a sudden? I like the type of player that Necas is, but I think the route should be to sign a big and strong power forward who can skate and score to play with Petey.
