retired and the Guardians go quietly in the top half of the first inning after a half Cleveland nothing the Angels coming up Tanner byby the hometown kid making the start for Cleveland tonight here in Anaheim byby off to a real solid start and pitching well of late this season after 10 starts two and one an ER of 3.93 the balls in two strikes on Nolan chowell last year he locked up with Patrick him that time Mickey moniac steps in two down base is empty here’s the pitch and it’s swung on and grounded right side scooped up by nailor heaves it over to BBY covering and he gets there in time another quick inning for Tanner byby we head to the third scoreless in Anaheim Roo in his rookie Major League season batting 203 eight runs driven in nine doubles and playing a solid defensive Short Stop here’s the pitch to roko and he lines one to left that’ll get down for a base hit moving up 90 ft to second is floral now it’s first and second with one out here in the third inning top of the lineup Tyler Freeman steps in Guardians trying to build a run here the 02 swung on line drive center field base hit for Freeman rounding third heading for home is the throw not in time and now Freeman after a big turn scrambles back to First on to third goes roio and Tyler Freeman puts the Guardians in front with an RBI single one- nothing Cleveland here is Andre simz Jimenez bounced to First his first time up Runners on the corners one out he swings and misses here for strike three had no chance at that one two outs and now it’s Ramirez flyed out to center field his first time the Major League leader in rbi’s runners in scoring position this year he is hit 346 breaking ball down low he checked his swing ball pops free down the line comes roio and he scores from third oh hoppy the catcher got in front of it but the ball ricocheted out toward the mound and when it did aoko alertly raised home so aoko scores Freeman moved up from first to second on the play Jose Ramirez you you just can’t make mistakes to him you crack that door a little bit they will take full advantage of it drilled deep right field way back and gone for a home run Jose Ramirez with a two out two-run Homer makes it a 4run third inning for the Guardians Ramirez with his 15th home run on the season his third in the series another home run from Jose Ramirez who he’s been knocking on the door in that mvp hunt several times in the last six s years and man oh man is he making an early impression this year bottom half of the third inning an explosive third inning and it’s 4 nothing Cleveland two down in the inning for Luis Reno there’s a bouncing ball through for Reno floral closed on it quickly Paris trying for third anyway and now rifo goes to second base and ston floral got to the ball quickly and then throws up the Angels take extra bases now have Runners on second and third now two out RBI chance for Taylor Ward here’s a good chance to get back in this game Paris drawing a one- out walk when heo gets a two out double the angels have a chance to cut the Cleveland lead in half for the base hit Taylor Ward hits one in the air that’s deep to left florio’s back for it near the wall it’s gone Taylor W drives the Angels right back at it a two out three-run Homer and it’s a one-run game sent it in on a fast ball and he got it 11th home run 32 RBI Taylor Ward middle up middle out crushed it three-run home run that’s huge huge right there after the Guardians score for to respond like that grab that Halo so we head to the bottom of the fifth it’s still Cleveland four Los Angeles three now Tanner BBY worked out of a jam last inning has a one-run lead to work with as Luis Reno will step in Reno is one for two with a double back in the third swung on Grounded past the third baseman Ramirez in the left field a base hit shawnell will try for third he’ll be in there the throw comes the second the Slide the tag and he is out out at second base is Ren hio trying to stretch it on a good throw by eston Floral in the meantime the infield is in because the tying runs at third for Taylor Ward here’s the 2-2 swing and a miss strike three got him to chase a pitch that was upstairs viby with a huge strike out two down now and Willie Calhoun will step in tying run at third for the angels with two outs here’s the pitch swing and a miss he got him with a 96 mph fast ball BBY strikes out another in a key spot and he gets out of the jam Tanner BBY terrific tonight three runs on six hits allowed in six Innings walked one struck out six really just the the one inning yeah got away a little bit he battled to stay in there he he really pitched well a manual cl to try and save it in the bottom half of the ninth inning it’s the Guardians for the the Angels three two down Runner still at first and Zach Netto will try and keep it going he’s had a good night at the plate he’s two for three with a double and a single right-handed hitter facing the hard throwing right-hander Emanuel CL swing and a miss strike three and the Guardians have won their eighth straight A nailbiter tonight in Anaheim we thought it might be a well pitched game tonight and and for the most part it was and Cleveland comes out on top the Guardians winning by a final score of 4-3
