the Rangers indeed need a win not just to avoid a sweep here but to make sure that they don’t come home winless from this road trip we all know that the injury situation has been dire for this team so today the Rangers are going to yet another new starting pitcher and this is an entirely new face for this Rangers team yeah Harrison gabo is making his major league debut on a day when the Rangers really need a win they have been struggling on this road trip but this young man what a day this will be for him there is nothing quite like making your major league debut but here take a look at some of the numbers down at Round Rock he’s been very solid down there six games 25 and the third Innings pitch on ra at just a little bit over two and he has a whip of 0.91 and across the field for the Minnesota Twins will be the Ace of their staff Pablo Lopez but Lopez has really struggled in his last two starts he’s 0 and2 with an ER of 7.92 and opponent hitters they’ve been uh kind of taking advantage of him hitting three 65 four home runs in the first inning this year as well of plagued Pablo Lopez he face Marcus semian High and deep to left center field but in the ballpark for Castro as he makes the play and sem flies out one ball and two strikes kicking the pitch this one swung on a Miss he tied up Cory Seager for out number two strike out number one for Pablo Lopez the first strike out of the game for the twins bounces that one through the left side and that gets into left field to base hit so his fourth hit of the road trip Rangers have a runner in this first inning Runner goes the two2 struck him out exposures of adolis Garcia who whips for the fifth time in this series gbo getting a chance here for his big league debut and that was call Ball Four should have been strike two lck will take the walk his walk rate right at League average at 8% and the twins have a man on swing of a miss and there’s his first Big League strikeout as he gets Willie Castro good two right there that hard down and Away movement away from Willie Castro’s bat Jonas set up right on that outside corner pitch starting off in the plate you see this little circle change up right there kareah has reached base safely and 15 straight two2 and a bouncer down to First low has it steps on the back goes to Second and time for the double play and so there is his first twin killing a scoreless game here at Target Field where the twins magical rally sausage has been through a lot in its 3 weeks of existence it’s been thrown at heads it’s been shipped to DC and now it’s been shoved down the jersey of Christian Vasquez I didn’t even notice it at first when I posted this Dugout celebration on social media yesterday and fans were quick to point out Vazzy’s epic reaction well I talked to both Kira and Vasquez about the exchange today and Kira said hey if he’s going to dump a gallon of seeds over my head he’s getting a sausage down his shirt vzy responded saying it was disgusting I almost threw up the thing has turned green and it smells terrible so if anybody out there was wondering how that sausage is holding up uh doesn’t sound like it’s doing too well guys we may be at that point where we have to start wondering uh what’s going to be the next step in the Home Run celebration it’s not walking many hitters he’s only issued nine walks all year the strikeout rate still 10 runner on base ahead of it 2-1 and Seager hits that ball hard deep out to R it is gone up over that high wall in right field and the Rangers draw First Blood this afternoon Cory Seager Just Smokes this pitch off of Pablo Lopez a ball going 404t out there into right center field and Cory Seager just continues to hammer the baseball now with a 10 game hitting streak with his home run a little hanging breaking pitch for his eighth home run in the last 19 games well his tear continues and the Rangers make can pay for that walk gido’s gotten some weak contact on the ground one two swinging a weak ground ball rolled to Second Sim has it he sidearms to low and there’s one away O2 pitch and that one is out to left field but dur is there two up two down but gabo just really looks in total control out there outside and high ball four so he loses L unable to command the change up and that extends the inning for Willie Castro who is the only strikeout victim thus far two two two outs here it comes swinging a ball line to left field slicing away from Durant he ranges back reaches up makes the catch just shy of the warning track and he takes one away from Castro on the hardest hit ball by a twin off of gabo so far today ready with the two two uhoh that came in and got Garcia on the hand it was not a good sound either oh he just can’t catch a break right now in terms of staying away from you know any form of danger this one lined up the middle and that’s a base hit Garcia stops IT second T’s got that just high enough that a leaping kareah couldn’t quite reach it so a couple of base runners now for Nathaniel low who popped out his last time up ball hit hard out to the Gap in right center field that’s a base hit Garcia around 30 scored t heads to third they’ll stop him there and it’s three nothing on the low RBI single oh and what a feeling that’s going to be for Nathaniel who’s been struggling a little bit comes up with a big knock right here that was the first situation for the Rangers today with a runner in scoring position the low RBI single that hit hard to second base and Julian couldn’t get it cleanly he does hop up to recover they throw out low at second but Heim gets a run across the plate he shoots this one the other way to right and that drops down base hit time lumbering to Third Base Durant’s at second with a double here to give Texas Runners at second and third now for Evan Carter to the right side Julian will pick it look the man back at third and retires Carter if you can strand those two out there you’re still within Striking Distance Marcus semi in the batter got jamed to short kareah glided by the runner but hangs in there and makes the play inning is over hey Carlos G will lead off for your min SOA twins here in the bottom half of the fourth inning down for nothing line down the left field line that’s going to be a base hit tried to come in with a fast B so the twins get their first hit lead off single for kareah kareah stays put and the three2 a swing of a drive into right center field and deep back it goes and in playe Off the Wall ker rounding third heading home he will score standing twins are often running keper RBI double and it’s score to one that strike three called his second strike out of the afternoon this one’s just painted right on that inside corner inside ball four so the rookie making his big league debut he’s on a nice job this afternoon but he’s done here in the fourth 02 to the right side sem from shaller Wright is there Feats Hernandez who beat Julian by a strive to end the inning and the major league debut of Harron gabito is in the books he obviously is not eligible to get the win since he did not go the necessary five inning here’s Cory Seager Ming home run is last time up and he’s hit another one here baby a shot to right that goes just up over the flower beds and into the people second home run today for Cory Seager and he gets the Rangers that run back it’s now 5 to one boy Cory Seager any time he sees a mistake right now at the plate you’ve got to almost Chuck and duck cuz this ball is just crushed out there to right field be quiet there’s a ground ball down the first Baseline and Smith will have extra bases pedals for two two and he is in there with yet another double his 13th of the season the Rangers did a really nice job offensively against Lopez five runs on seven hits he is still responsible for Smith at third and Smith is going to score is that’s a base hit to left field by low his second RBI single of the game and the Rangers lead 6 to one really good approach right here from Nathaniel loow off of the left Tander thunderberg fifth walk the twins have drawn today and here comes Carlos K will score the only TNS run today that came of the fourth inning line to right center field slicing in the Gap and that is going to land Off the Wall Castro Ring third base he will try and score semi and fires way off line the throw to the Lin Stone behind the play kareah makes third it’s six to2 again the walk to Castro leads to a run the one one swinging a high fly ball into left Duran with all kinds of time coming in a bit toward the line he’s under it and he’s got it for the final out in the inning yesterday was a very healthy crowd as is this afternoon haris hits his ball sharply on the ground into right field base hit two out single by leot his second hit of the game two on two out the 02 pitch check swing grow bow third Miranda throws high and Santana comes off the bag and there’s the second error committed by Jose Miranda today well you mentioned how much cleaner’s defense has been a high throw and that will load the bases and prolong the inning for Jonah Heim popped up should be the inning Julian is back Kepler is in dur in Durant now feers to his left and makes the catch two up two down on two weak popups twins down to their final out it’s Carlos sanana three for his last 23 one-w pitch bouncer second base Sean is there this one is over and gabo and Company get it done the losing streak is over the Rangers win it 6 to2 and Lopez first time as a twin and first time in years that will drop three straight starts before today the last time that Pablo lost three straight starts was in 2020 with Miami
