The Canucks have a REALLY GREAT opportunity here…

all right so in my last video I talked about Martin nus as a potential fit for the Vancouver Canucks as a player that could acquire this off season via trade and you know after creating that video I was really interested to see what you all had to say about the potential for Martin H just becoming a Vancouver Canuck and the responses that I got were pretty mixed some people were for it some people were pretty heavily against it some people wondered if it would even be a possibility given the two teams circumstance and when we talk about Philip ponic potentially being the trade piece back a lot of people in my comments question whether or not this would actually even be a fair trade in the first place so there’s a lot of complexities that come with two different rfas and personally I still would really love to have niches on the Vancouver Canucks but for the sake of today’s video we’re going to push that to the side and we’re going to talk about three other ufas on the market that the Vancouver conu should look at as potential Acquisitions this coming off seon the first one is a familiar face and one player that we’ve heard a lot of rumors about throughout the past couple of days as a potential fit Tyler tley and you know T foi is a little bit on the older end he’s 32 years old but the weird thing about it is no matter how old this guy gets he just keeps on scoring goals and he has been on a couple of different teams since he left the Vancouver Canucks he was on the Montreal Canadians where he was a very good fit he went to the Stanley Cup finals with them and then he got moved over to the Calgary Flames where he put up a career-high 73 points last season 34 goals so there’s no question he was a fit there and then he got moved over to a very underwhelming New Jersey Devil team that was plagued with injuries but still he was able to produce 44 points 26 goals before he was dealt at the trade deadline to to the Winnipeg Jets and still on the Jets he was able to put up 11 points in 18 games seven of which were goals so it’s no question that Tyler Tooley is a fit no matter where he goes but that doesn’t even matter in this case because we already know that Tyler Tooley can play well with the Vancouver Canucks he was a beast with Alias Peterson where he put up 10 points in 10 games in the regular season and he did suffer an injury at the start of the Bubble Run playoffs but after he returned in the Vegas series he put up four points in seven games he was a force and it was a real disappointment that the Vancouver Canucks didn’t resign him he actually wanted to resign but was disappointed that the Canucks didn’t give him an offer because Jim Benning was Jim Benning and although that was really disappointing at the time now we have a chance to get him back and I feel like he still has some juice left in him to help the Vancouver Canucks in their win now mode mentality so could I see Patrick Alvine pull the trigger here on Tyler Tooley definitely do I want him to do that sure as long as he doesn’t give him too much money I think that somewhere in that $4 million range is perfect for Tyler to Foley but we’ll see what happens there the next player is one that’s a little bit more off the board another guy that’s on the older end but Jonathan maraso is a guy that kind of intrigues me for some reason he was an original Misfit on the Vegas golden knights he is their alltime points leader and led them to the Stanley Cup last season where he earned himself the KMI Trophy this past season he scored over 40 goals a new career-high for him and it really looks like this is a player that has that Joe pavelski type of longevity so you could probably get yourself three or so more good years out of Jonathan Marsha so the only thing that scares me a little bit with this player is the price tag but if Patrick Alvine was able to move the MF contract trade him for basically nothing just to free up 4 point 75 million then maybe I could see it but honestly I’m just looking at that Top Line Marcas so Miller bester that would be insane so Jonathan Maro is a guy to look out for maybe a little bit more farfetched but you never know I’m kind of cheating with this last one because he isn’t a UFA but Nikolai eers another player on the Winnipeg Jets could be a good fit with Alias pson as well he has one more year left at $6 million on his contract track and what you’re getting here is a really skilled Speedy Winger a little bit more on the smaller end which obviously isn’t ideal considering you already have Garland and hoglander but the talent is undeniable and he had a really good season this past year his playoffs this year wasn’t great but let’s be honest here the entire Jets roster kind of went silent when it came to the playoffs but again all of this is speculation I want you to let me know in the comment section down below which of these three players you would like the Vancouver Canucks to sign the most and if you The Vancouver Canucks have a busy summer, they say they want a top 6 forward, could one of Tyler Toffoli, Nikolaj Ehlers or even Jonathan Marchessault be a possible fit for the Canucks next season to play alongside either JT Miller or Elias Pettersson?

  2. It's not a fair trade straight across … no chance! A RHD is super rare, especially one that puts up points. Necas + + would be more reasonable.

  11. Marschessaeult would be crazy awesome to get! That man reminds me of Garland. They are both never-quit grinders.

    Also, Dillon from Winnipeg is on the rumour mill now too based on comments he made on a talk show the other day. BC boy expressed interest in coming home to play for his hometown team IF they are open to him.

  16. IF Edmonton doesn’t re-sign Warren Foegele, I think he can help the Canucks with his work ethic. Maybe play him with Miller and Boeser if they don’t do anything else, I’d say he would get a 3.5m or 4m for 2-3 seasons would be nice

  20. If Vegas can’t afford to resign him, the Canucks probably can’t either unless they con some GM into taking Mikheyev’s salary. Marchessault is in his 30s, but will still command a hefty cap hit, regardless of how long the term is. My guess is that given recent contracts, it won’t be that short. Miller started a 7 year contract at age 30. If it’s under 5 years, I’ll be surprised unless it’s to a contender. Nobody is giving the Canucks a discount, unless it’s Myers.

  22. What is the difference between Toffoli and Mikheyev? Toffoli has soft hands! Add Toffoli and Ehlers in the offseason, as well Dillon from Winnipeg, and I would be a happy Canucks fan going into the next season!

  23. I would really like for us to have tyler toffoli and he would be a very good winger paired with petterson our power play would also improve a lot

  36. You might be able to trade hronek with mikheyev…for something…freeing up space or getting a winger or young player…with that maybe sign a couple good ufas.
    Myers at 2 mill for 2 or 3 years
    Juulsen will be a full timer next
    Zadorov resign 5 mill for 4 or 5
    Brendan Dillon ufa signing 2 to 3 mill 2to 3 years.
    Toffoli I would sign for 3 to 4 mill.
    Lindholm, marchessault sign but not sure because of money value….
