[Music] we haven’t seen something like this literally since the Tampa Bay Lightning like 3 years ago the Florida Panthers they have won in game number six against the New York Rangers cementing themselves as the Eastern Conference champions for the second year in a row you know what man I got a feeling about this Florida Panthers team whether it is Dallas or it is Edmonton something is going on in Florida and it’s not just the Championships that the Tampa Bay Lightning walked away with Florida was the better team here and in game six they end up taking a 2 to1 Victory the only goals are scored by Sam Bennett you had yourselves Vladimir tereno and you have on the other side the artmi panan show still coming out on Broadway but only for a one time showing it’s a limited production and they just had their final show about 20 minutes ago or so big shout out over to my guy Oliver emman lson too because that guy oh my goodness he went from Vancouver Canucks buyout to a top pairing defenseman in Florida because Aaron eblad and I’m pretty sure Montour as well were injured to start out the year oel was such a beast had all these points on the power play was a top pairing guy and then the rest of the defense Corp healthed themselves up Oliver emman Larson no longer a number one guy but he’s still been very good the rest of the Decor on Florida very good and the biggest question I’d say for a lot of Rangers fans after this game is what the hell happened not because the Florida Panthers did anything extraordinary amazing to win but because a ouri Panera and he had the goal but wow this Rangers team eh you know how they say no quit in New York okay maybe there’s some quit in New York maybe just a little bit not to dance on the grave of the New York Rangers so much they did get themselves the president’s trophy they were the top team in the NHL they did look dominant in their first two playoff series but in this one against Florida I don’t know what it is man they just sto showing up we had talked about this yesterday m is a banag Jed I’m sorry but that guy has not looked himself to pass a little while you could say the same thing about breadman panan had himself a pretty rough go during this season as well or not season series excuse me his season was fine 100 Point guy he was totally okay Chris krider only scored a limited amount as well a lot of Rangers got shut down in this game and you have to ask yourself is this because the Florida Panthers just played a style that was able to clog them up and not allow the Rangers to do what the Rangers wanted to do or is this just the same story repeating over again New York going far making the third round even but then disappointing when the games matter the most and losing before getting themselves a chance at the Stanley Cup finals all the parallels to 1994 and Mark Messier they got to come back and they got to do this etc etc so many parallels oddly enough but it doesn’t come to fruition here the Florida Panthers they take the dub and as they ever so excitingly wait stalking their pre on the Western Conference Edmonton versus Dallas you have to go out there and ask all right is it going to be a Conor McDavid versus Alexander barov matchup is it going to be the Dallas Stars coming back and forcing themselves a game seven and winning what do the Florida Panthers have to prepare for two different teams two different styles honestly if there’s a team that’s going to be able to shut down the highflying offense of Edmonton especially when that highflying offense is on like they have been the past few few days here it could be the Florida Panthers who knows would it not be interesting to have the Stanley Cup hoisted by a Florida team for what is that three times in five years two Tampa wins a Colorado win a Vegas win and then maybe Florida who really knows but of course the Panthers making it this far they were Unstoppable in the eyes of many people just taking a look at how strong they were last year how they breeed their way honestly to the Stanley Cup finals before having a little bit of a difficult time against the Vegas golden knights but seeing them reroute their path getting back over here to the finals one year later it’s a pretty good story and honestly they deserve it they made the additions they put themselves in this spot to succeed and they play a darn good style of hockey now let’s talk a little bit about the intricacies of the game I wanted to focus on that first goal that was the one that really went viral and for the wrong reasons for New York Ranger fans because it happened at the end of the first period the Rangers send the puck out to the neutral zone and the Panthers quickly come back in Bennett crosses the Blue Line Jacob trouba completely takes himself out of the Play Bennett to Rodriguez back to Bennett into the middle of the onetime top cheese beautiful snipe Jacob trouba I’m sorry buddy but you kind of got posterized there he tripped he fell he went to the boards that guy’s making $8 million a year he is the captain of the Rangers and he hasn’t been his best he has been somewhat of a liability do you want to say the defensive play the elbows the physicality it’s just not working as of late and I’m not going to go out there and say that trouba is a bad hockey player we know what he is capable of when he is on his game but the past few days the Florida Panthers they have just exposed Jacob trouba say the same thing about mik aanad say the same thing about bread man say the same thing about kokako even I mean lot of Doom and Gloom going over on the Rangers subreddit and social media discourse go over to their Instagram page and the comments are pretty ruthless lots of change is needed here in the New York Ranger System to finally put things together to close things out to consistently go four series 16 wins and to put yourself in that spot where you now have that Stanley Cup opportunity they lost it here today unfortunate but the Rangers have been here quite a few times before it is inter because if you take a look at some of the parallels on the opposite side I mean the Oilers they have been far but they’ve never been this far they had themselves a third round appearance once before but they got swept they are going and besting their personal best with every single win New York how many times have they gotten this far only to drop in the third round I mean I get it there are some other New York teams to also get this far it’s kind of funny how that works right Florida and New Yorks are always doing pretty well maybe because there are more teams there yeah yeah okay that probably makes a lot more sense but still for the Rangers the season was great obviously regular season Champions etc etc but the way it ended the way y’all I don’t want to say didn’t show up but it kind of didn’t show up at the end it’s unfortunate and I don’t want to talk too much in particular about the game because let’s face it the game is like second to the story right here the game itself is just the game what’s really important is the narrative about both of these teams Florida still touchable as a Powerhouse team going out there forcing themselves into the finals New York suffering a very demoralizing loss one that you could say indicates the end of certain Rangers times in this team I mean I don’t want to put anybody’s usernames and stuff here because I get it it’s an emotional time y’all just lost in six but I’m reading some of the comments here on the subreddit it’s oh buy out Jacob trouba zaban Jad and panarin these guys are having their Legacy cemented as losers time to trade trouba I’m really sad this once in a lifetime opportunity not here wow people are turning on kandre Miller as well that is nuts okay he didn’t have the best game but still I don’t want to say that I’m like fully on the Florida bandwagon quote unquote because I mean hey they’re in the final two obviously it’s easy to get into the bandwagon but Florida if I had to pick one team I’d say it’s probably them who knows Vegas made themselves the finals and then they ended up losing they won a few years later Florida maybe they’re going to go out there and pull something similar just in a condensed timeline Tampa Bay they lost the finals in 2015 then they came back they won two straight how crazy is that teams that are good have cup contending windows that extend for a while and they normally make the finals twice that seems like it could be the case here let me know
