Charlie Morton on the mound and he’s looking to bounce back after that rough outing last time that put the ER up over four and we’ll see if Charlie can do that here today and help the Braves win a series Abraham Toro leads it off for the a struck him out curveball Toro is down one away and doar is having a nice Series 6 for n a homer four runs driven in this is a swinging Bunch Shawn Murphy will take it and the former a throws out the current a and there are two away here is JJ blade and Charles is looking for a one two three first he got it sharp as attack to start 11 pitches three up three down great start for Charlie Morton and now Michael Harris will lead things off at the bottom of the first for Atlanta and there is Luis Medina season debut just came off the 60-day iil today from an MCL sprain that he suffered in early March so this is his second Major League season onew to Harris and a swing in a Miss by Michael went after the curve ball one down but look at there strike out in his first big league battery faces of the year that brings up Austin Riley two- Pitch hit well out to left field Miguel and duar and he makes the catch out in left field and two down here in the inning no question about that one up and in so Medina as we said can be a little erratic and he walks Ozuna with two outs so early traffic not what you want but two outs going to try and attack the former a Matt Olen that one gets away from McAn Ozuna will get up 90 ft to second base Olsen line drive base hit Ozuna barring around third and Atlanta takes a one to nothing lead in the first red hot Matt olon staying red hot this one right down the middle and he is ready for it they were playing him pretty deep and right very made it very easy for Marcel to score especially with this fall being shaded toward the line that’s a way to work one one azy and he’ll pop one up this should be playable Drifting by Third Base is toro and that ends the bottom of the first inning but the Braves get a run on one hit no airs one left we head to the top of the second one- nothing Braves and Oakland sending up Rooker Brown and gof in the top of the second inning and then he’s able to get him with a curveball three strikeouts through four batters got him three pitches and they all looked identical so already four strikeouts for Borton well so far the curveball has been on point and so he is stuck with it three straight there to Smith grounder to third Austin Riley has it makes the throw across 11 pitches in the first just 13 in the second for Morton memorable game for Max Schuman y yesterday the rookie first four hit game of his young career and that Ball’s up the middle and it’s going to get past a diving o Albi so once again Max Schuman coming into the Hit Parade oh Tyler stoom getting hit he’ll drop his Bat and take his base Max Schuman moving on to Second quickly as the order turns over here it feels like a very different inning than the first two we saw Abraham Toro to the plate struck him out again and one once more it is on the curve ball two outs here’s on duar this ball is weekly to ozie alz and Morton gets out of it two stranded for Oakland in the top of the thirding up the first baseman Matt Olsen Olson the only hit off Medina in this game swinging a Miss Medina hit the strike out at 97 that’s three for him today Medina is now retired nine straight and here is ozie Al the second baseman well Medina is on a roll right now it’s going to be a nine-pitch inning and he has now set down 10 consecutive Atlanta Braves one out there’s Max Schuman and there’s another walk is third in two innings and schuman’s streak is still alive he’s now reached base seven straight times and here comes sod and the two- two pitch he got him curveball 6ks for Morton today and it has been the curveball that has been responsible for all of them and once again you can see a pretty big Miss there fire to First and they picked him off the quick feed of Charlie Morton picked off Shuman we’ll see if they’re going to challenge but if it ends up holding up it’ll be the third pickoff of the year for Charlie they are not going to challenge and indeed it will be number three amazing work there for Morton so through five plus Innings here now for Charlie Morton he already has 14 swings and misses that is his third highest total on the season right back to him how about that catti ref flexes at 40 years old Toro sprinted down the line but not quick enough yeah cool com and collected I had it all along I don’t know if it’s the weather or what here but that’s backto back walks for Charlie so Shawn Murphy’s going to go out and talk to him so first and second for Seth Brown who has struck out and walked that’s in play Michael Harris over the reain is all but stopped but through the remaining raindrops he has it and we have 5 and 1 half in the books a really good start by Charlie Mor well they’re trying to keep that mound as dry as humanly possible as we continue to play dodgeball on a Sunday afternoon with the rain showers in the area Atlanta flinging to a one to nothing lead Dylan Lee is coming in here for Atlanta Charlie goes six scoreless 97 pitches yeah Charlie did his job you’re in a pretty good position right now even though this game is tight and there’s a little bit of pressure here on the bullpen and just a one to nothing game but Dylan Lee has just been terrific this season for the Atlanta Braves here is Zack gof the face Dylan Le and the pitch fast ball swung on a drive to left Center it pretty well going back for it is Harris the second at the wall and it is gone a home run for gof and we’re tied at one Zack gof with number four and RBI number 12 it’s a one-1 ball game oh is that a great sign so gof quiets this near capacity crowd and it’s a one-1 ball game here in the seventh they got a base runner with one down let’s see if they can turn that into anything here’s Jared Kell that ball is fair just inside the line off a broken bat of Kellick Duval’s going to stop at third but Atlanta has two in scoring position with just one out that bat almost the way it broke looked like it was already broken and he didn’t know it the infield will come in here in a 1-1 game in the bottom of the seven and Shawn Murphy try to get back on track in the air to the right side oh all three chasing after it it’s fair it dropped and the Braves Take the Lead Shawn Murphy with a soft pop that he couldn’t have thrown out there anymore perfectly and Shawn Murphy drops one in to give the Braves the lead it’s two1 Braves here in the seven well they’re going to intentionally walk Michael Harris and that will bring up Austin Riley with a Bas is loaded Riley to right Brown over and he’s got it the Braves do grab the lead it’s 2 to one we start the bottom of the eighth inning the A’s Trail 2 to one at Danny Jimenez off the iil he got the save yesterday for the Athletics and now he faces Ozuna Olsen and albz trying to keep it a one-run affair Marcelo Zuna UNC this to left it’s off the wall he heads for second as the ball comes way back in towards the center of the Outfield and it’s a double for the big there got JP Martinez pinch running out at second base so this is the first time he has seen the field since coming up from Triple A O he’s really due over for his last 11 see if he can get JP Martinez in that should do it martinz being waved home and Azie alz puts the Braves on top three to one in the eight two down bottom of the eight and there is an Atlanta Brave at every base they are looking to go for the jugular right here the bat is in the hands of Orlando Ario the 3-1 pull on the ground at third base Toro has it goes the short way to Second the inning is over a run in Bases Loaded left for Atlanta two to tie for the A’s we go to the ninth inning they Trail 3-1 and now with one more out you’ll take the ball game and the series as Max Schuman comes to the plate in the air this should end the ball game the Braves win the series 3 to one is the final in game three he
