None of this really means anything other than maybe the basketball gods hate Book lol.

Thankfully, Suns won most of his other 50+ point games: 58 vs NOP (Dec 2022, W), 52 vs NOP again (Jan this season, W), 52 vs NOP AGAIN LMAO HE HATES THE PELS (Apr ALSO THIS SEASON, W), 51 vs CHI (Nov 2022, W), 50 vs WAS (Mar 2019, L).

So he had 3 50pt this game this season (twice vs the Pels, gg) and went 2-1, nice.

  1. One guy scoring a ton of points doesn’t automatically equate to his team winning the game and might even be a detriment, more at 11

  2. basketball is a team sport. Sometimes having the offense so focused on one person is bad for the team. Wilt scored 70 or more three times in losses.

Sometimes you gotta let one person eat. but a players high scoring game doesnt always translate to wins. Just look at Bradley Beal

  3. Just means Suns was omega cheeks that they needed this many points from their star. We Mavs fans know what that’s like.

  4. Many players in the last seasons has stat pad some great scoring games and they lose, that’s why I appreciate Luka even more, because he does overdo it sometimes but he still goes for the win

  5. The end of that 70 point game was really funny, I just remember them fouling and calling timeouts so they could run plays for him even though it was like a 20 point game.

I think they took a team photo celebrating it after the loss lmao thank god that team never won anything

  6. D Book doesn’t have a high basketball IQ. He gets baited in to one on one match ups just to get him into hero ball and out of his teams game plan. Dude has a wild ego and doesn’t really care about winning.

  7. A Sixers flare posting this? Booker has made it out of the second round of the playoffs, unlike Embiid

  8. Prob better to have two or three players combine for 70 amid a cohesive scheme where everyone is involved rather than one player work their tail of for 70.

  9. I mean weren’t his teammates fouling at the end so he’d get the ball back?

  10. The 62 pointer one pisses me off the most.

The 70 point one was a moral team one. It’s inflated but we were so ass it was good to see our future star put up a crazy statline.

The Utah one is whatever. We were ass that year. Tbh with context only the 62 pointer is bad.

Anyone shitting on booker or calling him not a team player low iq for these game, you can use the site and swap in Michael Jordan name. His 2nd and 3rd highest scoring game were loses too.

  11. If only the Suns had a way of adding an all-time playmaker on their roster, that could have been a perfect partner for Booker.

I dunno, like a Slovenian or something..

  12. That 70 point game was a weird one and unless you watched it then, it is difficult to contextualise it.

Suns weren’t a competitive team, Booker wasn’t an outstanding player, this particular game against Celtics wasn’t competitive and there was nothing at stake either.

Booker’s 70 was a team effort. Suns played with the sole objective of maximising Booker’s statline. I have watched some atrocious games and this is one of them.

  13. I mean it makes sense. If one guy needs to score 70 points that means your team isn’t doing jack shit

  14. Devin Booker is the most embarrassingly shameless stat padder in the league.

  15. Devin booker playoff series wins: 5-4

    Devin booker playoff record:25-22

Joel embiid playoff series wins: 5-7

    Joel embiid playoff record: 29-30

  16. Says a lot about him as a player. Must be terrible. Can’t win with him. Might as well trade him to the Knicks for 40 cents on the dollar. You’d be foolish not to

  17. Is Indiana the first team ever to have 2 players drop 60+ on them in a season? Can’t imagine it’s happened before
