against the Red Sox 5-2 with a 297 ER coming off a great start his last time out and he takes care of jiren Duran they’ll have to throw down to First no problem for Shawn Murphy one away swing and a miss back-to-back strikeouts for freed to start the night here at Fenway good pitch there after the fast ball in triy to lock him up and he miss went back with the change up away and had him way out in front that’s good sequence there got him three strikeouts to start for Max freed that’ll play first Duran then ref Snider and Wong all gone so here’s Matt Olen ground ball sharply to First and off of the glove of Dom Smith so Matt Olsen will be the game’s first base runner on an air by Dominic Smith that ball is fair in between Smith and the line Olsen on his way to third Aussie hustles into second a double for Aussie Al and the brains are in business in the top of the second second and third nobody out for Atlanta so early trouble for cutter Crawford that sends up dval onew hit to the right side it will produce a run Smith had to Scamper to First and it gets away from him aie comes home and it’s two to nothing Atlanta a couple of infield airs at the top of the second and just like that Atlanta has a two to nothing lead you know we always talk about how it can be a difficult play sometimes when it’s a pitcher covering first and I think this is a similar play Dom Smith was so far off the bag with dval being able to run he had to get back to the bag in a hurry and it was kind of bang bang to when the throw was coming and he was trying to find the base and couldn’t find a baseball and now Westbrook who drew a walk the other day in his major league debut and is that first big league hit going to come tonight in his first Major League start with his family on hand again two un hammered into center field Harris backing up though and he’s got it h it stiff but for now the barrel man you see why they call him that really good swing against one of the the League’s best continues to hit cutter Crawford well he’s got a lead off double here in the fifth so the tying run and scoring position and now Shawn Murphy who grounded into a double play back in the second inning see if the Braves can get to Crawford here and that one is up the middle off the glove of Westbrook Kellick will come around and score and we are tied at three RBI single sha Murphy it’s good to see him start to square up a few more baseballs after missing all that time with the obli St Riley at second Ozuna at first and now ozie alz one for two with a double and a strikeout ozie alz hits this out to right center field this ball is well struck and it is gone into the bullpen and Atlanta takes a 6 to3 lead in the six last year we’re just so accustomed to seeing the Braves come through in situations like that with a big hit Matt Olson not able to do it but Aussie picked them up there got a pitch out over the plate that he could drive deposited that in the Red Sox ppen Max freed gets to go back to work here with a bit of a cushion swing and a miss season High 10 strikeouts for Max free making 11 strikeouts for Max free Garrett Cooper is down struck him out Max freed having his own a Fielder Choice trying to keep Atlanta at Bay here keep him off the scoreboard anymore this ball is lifted to right field dobeck is going back and that thing is out of here another Homer for Atlanta this time it’s Orlando Aria and it is 7 to three Braves there we go it’s June good to see Orlando Drive a ball the opposite field like that tell you in this cool air that Ball’s not exactly jumping either but that ball was hammered into that Bullpen out there another dominant performance here tonight for Max briyan snitcher is going to go ahead and send him back out for the seven a rock it out towards Center Michael Harris coming in just to his left makes the catch that one down and he’s got another strike out here B it a Baker’s Dozen 13 for free if he gets us next out he’ll have gone seven plus innings in five of his last six starts unbelievable ground ball toward the middle Orlando’s got it makes the play and Max freed through seven strikes out a career-high 13 batter and that’ll send up Shawn Murphy who’s gone one for three with an RBI single oo Shawn Murphy hopefully okay that one got him pretty good oh oh gosh oh man boy that swelled up quickly holy cow so it looked like initially to me it hit him in that front tricep but it missed hit him in the back elbow Shawn Murphy cannot catch a break in 2024 missed 49 games with that left oblique strain that he suffered on opening day in Philadelphia so he will exit this game here in the top of the night see if the Braves can get a little Insurance here two down for Michael Harris he’s 0 for four in the ball game hard hit and that gets through up the middle and the Braves will add on to the lead Michael Harris making it 8 to3 here in the top of the night Jesse Chavez will try to close things out here in the ninth inning this ball is in play celic coming on and there is one out in the bottom of the nin well this should do it Azie Orlando Olen 463 and the Braves win 8 to3 is the final the Braves offense got going a couple of homers one from Aussie one from Orlando Max freed pitched another gem 13 strikeouts career high and the Braves got it done
