Atlanta Falcons Top 5 Standouts From OTAs Ft. Kirk Cousins & Kyle Pitts

we are checking out the five biggest standouts from Falcons OTAs but first I do want to know where everyone is tuning in from let me know in the comment section shout out your city below we’ll get some shout outs going in the future OTAs is in the books which means the next step in the offseason programming is mandatory mini camp then summer break and then training camp but first let’s check out the five top standouts from organized team activities the first one being quarterback Kirk Cousins call me vanilla I kind of deserve it but yes the quarterback is of course going to lead the story here because from what we saw at the practices available to the media cousins looked great I mean of course the team is only going to put out good clips of their guys they’re not going to put out bad throws and whatnot but from what boots on the ground reporting says Kirk Cousins has looked the part like he has not looked like quarterback coming off an Achilles injury there’s a lot to be excited for about Kirk Cousins and his first season in Atlanta of course he put together a really dominant stretch with the Vikings now that did not always translate to wins and that is ultimately the most important thing but he definitely held his own end of the bargain up right last year had he not been hurt and you PR his stats for the entire 2023 season the guy was closing in on 5,000 passing yards 38 touchdowns and 10 interceptions now it’s not a perfect science uh things change as the season goes along but KK cousins definitely has stood out to me in a positive way so far through OTAs now I do want to toss this question on screen for you all who would you rather have as a quarterback Kirk Cousins or Derek Carr let me know down in the comment section below type the jersey number for the player you would rather have second standout from OTAs I’ll go with a receiver for Kirk cousins that is tight end Kyle pittz who is trying to bounce back after a sluggish year two and three in the NFL following a promising rookie year with over a thousand yards but just one touchdown and that one touchdown kind of speaks volumes to the lack of usage in the red zone for the Unicorn I am drinking the Kyle pittz Kool-Aid though I do feel like this will be a really good fit with Kirk Cousins when the Vikings got TJ hackinson he quickly became a favor go-to Target for cousins now he’s got Kyle pitch to work with it’s not like there’s a plethora of receiver Talent or a really deep wide receiver Room Drake London Kyle Pitts Darnell Mooney like those are your top three receivers and I think Pitts is going to get a good workload so Mark me down as a Believer for Kyle pittz in 2024 now let’s get eight new subscribers for Kyle pittz not seven not nine let’s get eight new subs for Kyle pittz if you think Pitts is going to have a strong year and you’re looking for a free Falcons news and rumors YouTube channel I invite you to subscribe down below third standout from OTAs it’s second-year quarterback Clark Phillips if you are just kind of checking in for the first time this off season here’s how the Falcons quarterback room stands AJ Terrell is obviously your number one corner after that it’s up for grabs although Clark Phillips appears to have won the CB2 job to open up the Gates now we still have a long ways to go until week one against the Steelers but Clark Phillips comes off a you know I wouldn’t say strong rookie year I think that’s probably uh overzealous but a promising second half of the rookie season and ultimately I think the CB2 job is Clark phillips’ job to lose the coaching staff has been very positive and upbeat about Phillips he’s got so many great skills to his game when he was at Utah he was a ball Hawk Corner the guy had like nine interceptions while at Salt Lake City so I think for now Clark Phillips is the team starting quarterback opposite of Terrell and he’s got to fight off the Mike Hughes and Antonio Hamiltons of the world and hold on to that job which I think he’s on a good path to do so fourth standout from OTAs let’s go with Zach Harrison the defensive end so when you look at the Falcons defensive line there is no return of Kus Campbell and I think that is partially because they are very optimistic about Zack Harrison replacing Campbell and trying to get the youth movement going on the defensive line we didn’t see a whole lot from Zack Harrison to open up the 2023 season but the last third of the year I mean we saw a total of 33 tackles four tackles for loss three sacks one pass breakup most of that coming in the last third of the season I think Harrison might be the X Factor for this team I mean you know you’ve got your stars in Bates AJ Terrell you’ve got your upand cominging guys in Arnold eaty but Zack Harrison go out there put up two sacks and this Falcon pass rush is right where it’s been for the last decade Plus or he could turn some heads prove people slightly like me wrong where there are some naysayers and some doubters about just how much production he can have in year two and if he puts together a six s sack campaign that’ll be a huge sigh of relief for rahem Morris and Terry font to though who didn’t really address pass rusher much at all in free agency and then when it came to the draft I mean rukoro was a second round pick their first defensive selection but he’s much more of an interior defensive lineman than a true defensive end Edge rusher pass rusher they didn’t really get to that until briland tce in round number three so they are definitely putting some eggs in the Zack Harrison breakout sophomore year campaign basket and if that happens awesome if not the Falcons are right back where they started and that was a problem last year and a contributing factor to why they have been losing more than winning the last Almost decade not quite a decade but you know over half a decade at this rate Fifth and final standout I’m a little ashamed of myself I’m going to go with the running back bejan Robinson no slight against bejon but the guy wasn’t even a participant for the first week or so at OTAs but he did return after an ankle injury sidelined him to open up the practices for the final stretch of OTAs and then after that we saw bejan Robinson really start to get some nice comps in terms of what his role could look like in 2024 coaching staff pointing to Christian mcaffrey as someone that maybe beon morphs into in terms of the style of back and the way he is utilized listen Christi mcaffry is the best running back in the NFL right now that is a very high bar to hold Bean Robinson against and last year he only had 976 rushing yards 487 receiving yards he’s got a ways to go to match the types of numbers that Christian mcaffry was putting up but I think the better comparison isn’t bejan’s rookie year to Christian McCaffrey who was in year seven year eight last year how about Christian McCaffrey’s second year in the NFL 2018 when he had over a th000 rushing yards 867 receiving yards and 13 total touchdowns and average five yards a carry like I think that’s a much better comparison to make for if you want the Christian mcaffrey type path what did mcaffrey do in year two really really good stuff and I think we could see bejon Robinson have that type of season in 2024 now we’ll end today’s video with this question who do you think is most likely to make a Pro Bowl this year Drake London Robinson or Kyle pittz get in the comment section below let me know if I had to rank the likelihood of all three I’d go Drake London one Bean 2 pitch three that seems relatively chalky but I don’t know I guess I’ll stay chalk give in the com get in the comment section below and let me know [Music]

  1. 7 1192 rushing yards and 776 receiving yards and 14 or 13 total touchdowns
    5 1187 recieving yards and 7 touchdowns
8 987 receiving yards on 62 receptions and 8 touchdowns

  2. 7, 8, 5. Drake would have to leap much higher to take down people like JJ, Kupp, Evans, and Dk. Meanwhile the 3rd TE spot this year for the NFC was Jake Ferguson. Kyle can take him down. Bijan can do well and be better than Gibbs, even Ekeler, and the Bears new rb(I forgot who, I just remember he’s good)
