I straight up hate this news this is so stupid and so bad for the average fan sportset reported today that according to multiple sources the Washington Capitals will be purchasing the website cap friendly if you’re an NHL fan beyond the most casual viewer you’ve undoubtedly used cap friendly before it shows the salary cap situation for whatever team you want with an incredibly easy to understand breakdown which is somehow both comprehend ensive and very fan friendly the thing is Cap friendly is used not just by fans but GMS and front offices across the league and we now know that when the sale of the site goes through C friendly will no longer be accessible to those outside the Washington Capitals organization I hate this like this just seems like a petty move you’re gaining I suppose some competitive Advantage but the GMS will deal with it they’ll get the data they’ll put it together but we the average viewer have now lost a site that was used really heavily and for a good reason now cap friendly is not the only site that does what it does it’s not the first either you’ve been watching hockey for a while you might remember capgeek sort of the same thing but earlier it’s got a special place in my heart because the Creator was from Halifax that site actually stopped operating after he passed away and undoubtedly something else will show up this time what I will say is we already have good options puckpedia is right there I think it needs a bit more work especially from a user interface perspective but you know Screw Ted leonis screw the capitals I’m happy though however that the cap geek guys did get paid that’s funny I said cap geek I mean cap friendly but of course let me know your thoughts on all this and more down below

  10. This really sucks, I used cap friendly honestly probably more than any other site 😅. Aside from the salary cap info, they also have a fantastic forum section that I’ll miss

    If I'm understanding, some teams had agreement's to use it but now cant.
    Either that, or the Caps bought it cause they wanted to know how much cap space they had,not knowing it was free to look at 😂

  19. Sucks that CapFriendly won't be available anymore. My solution to it is give the Capitals higher-ups shit about it for a while and wait until we get a better alternative.

  21. So "ass" lol. Okay. Anyway, what a bummer for fans. The Capitals weren't one of my favorite teams, but they just dropped down even further after this.
