Ranking Every NHL ARENA From WORST to BEST!

it is time for the final of the four major sports arena rankings and here we have the NHL arena rankings last year there were 32 NHL Arenas used across the league and I thought like the other leagues that we’d rank them from worst to best just like in my other videos we’ll be ranking these stadiums based on convenience overall appearance and any special features it may have a lot of these placements will be very similar to my NBA arena ranking as a lot of the Arenas seen here are multi-purpose hockey and basketball Arenas with that being said I hope you guys do enjoy as always if you do enjoy make sure to leave like And subscribe it helps the channel out a ton and also feel free to check out my channel if you love sports you will love my channel as I upload two times a week with that out of the way let’s rank these 32 NHL arenas from worst to best at 32 this might be the most clear ranking I’ve ever had a play but it’s mullet Arena the coyotes will no longer be playing here in the future for a reason this Arena literally only sits about 5,000 people and is a college hockey stadium so it doesn’t even hold a candle to other hockey arenas in the league I mean considering it is just a college hockey stadium that being said the appearance is also very Bland as well nothing special throughout the stadium and it makes sense why they’re parting ways at 31 we have amarant Bank Arena now this Arena’s lucky I’m even counting mullet Arena because if it weren’t for mullet Arena this would be dead last an extremely dated Stadium no renovations in its near history and this team definitely needs a new stadium or huge renovation soon as they have made the Stanley Cup finals two times in a row and this is a very Bland appearance for that stage very similarly at number 30 we have the Honda Center pretty much everything from the Panthers is in consideration here once again super outdated exterior and interior have nothing special nothing to note at all I guess the seating arrangement is slightly better than the Panthers but with that being said you can easily interchange these two placements at 29 we have Capital 1 Arena also home to the NBA Wizards and if you remember in that ranking I also had this Arena rather low very common theme early on in this video once again just a bland Stadium I know I’m repeating myself a bunch but a lot of these lower end stadiums really just serve the purpose of Hockey being played there with nothing more the exterior is all right though I guess I do like the front entrance of the stadium but besides that interior is absolutely nothing special at 28 we have Canadian Tire Center home of the Ottawa Senators this Stadium actually has a very round shape with that being said the stadium is more wonky than anything I mean the exterior looks kind of nice you can really see right into the stadium but this Arena lacks anything above and beyond and really any personality at 27 we have the Key Bank Center now I know I sound like a broken record saying this but once again the stadium is rather boring the exterior is not great at all and the interior I do like the general theme of blue throughout the seating and everything in the stadium even the supports but that being said it really just follows your standard stadium seating at 26 we have ball Arena now once again another multi-purpose Stadium as this holds the nuggets as well and I definitely ranked it much higher in the NBA video but over time I’ve realized that this Stadium really is nothing special exterior is all right interior definitely could use some Renovations but definitely a step up I guess from the previous Arenas at 25 we have Rogers Arena home of the Canucks once again the interior of the Arena features that common Bowl seating that you usually see and the exterior looks like an apartment building more than a stadium I mean it does look like a nice apartment building but it doesn’t really give off the vibe of hockey and you wouldn’t know if they didn’t include all those banners on the outside with that being said it is your run of the mill Arena at 24 we have the Wells Fargo Center they share this arena with the 76ers but the 76ers are rumored to be moving out soon with a proposed stadium in the works with that being said it looks like the Flyers might stay in the Wells Fargo Center which might leave for the arena being better suited for hockey in the future because at the same time this really feels like a basketball stadium as well in all right interior in the exterior really is nothing to write home about at 23 we have PNC Arena home of the Hurricanes this Arena has a decent interior but the exterior really is not that great at all the strong suit of this Arena though comes from the fans themselves actually with amazing tailgates before the game and an electric atmosphere during like I said though this is an arena ranking over anything else so I try not to favor that too much at 22 we have the Enterprise Center home of the St Louis Blues this Arena has a decent exterior a lot of glass work which I really enjoy and the Enterprise Center sponsorship up on top a pretty cool shaping overall and you look at the inside and the inside is decent I guess very dark interior though all the seats are black but although it’s a dark interior it is very well-kept at 21 we have the Scotia Bank Arena home to both the Maple Leaves and the Raptors this is one of those multi-purpose stadiums that you can kind of tell that it is a multi-purpose Stadium the interior looks very NBA like still works good for hockey and the exterior of the stadium is nice overall but I feel like the interior could be a bit better and it does seem a bit old in appearance entering our top 20 we have the Canada Life Center one of these smaller Arenas in the NHL but it gets the job done very clean interior I love the steel and blue coloring throughout not to mention the x seror is pretty solid a nice combination of brick work and glass makes this Stadium feel modern but not too futuristic like I said this is on the smaller side of Arena so it won’t compare to some of the bigger more grandiose Arenas that we see around the league but that being said it does a good job at keeping the energy within the stadium at number 19 we have the TD Garden as a Boston fan it pains me to put this Arena as low as I have it here but in reality this is more of a basketball stadium than a hockey Stadium All The Branding inside and even the seating arrangements better suit the sport of basketball and although it’s not a terrible hockey design you can clearly tell which sport better benefits off the stadium with that being said TD Garden is still a very nice and clean Stadium the front entrance still looks really nice with that TD Garden sign overhanging the escalators and of course the Bobby or statue out in front and as well as the exterior will always look nice on the TD Garden the interior is what really lets it down here at 18 we have the credential Center home of the New Jersey Devils this Stadium features a pretty solid exterior a lot of glass on the outsides huge credential sponsorships and then you look at the interior of the Arena it’s pretty standard as far as NHL Arenas go you’ll find numerous other NHL Arenas with very similar Interiors but overall they do a nice job with the stadium at 17 we have the American Airlines Center another multi-purpose Arena housing both the Mavericks and the Dallas Stars I absolutely love the exterior of the stadium large brick work really looks nice a very unique shape for the outside of the stadium too which leads to a very interesting canopy design in the interior of the stadium which looks great as well and I absolutely love it when an arena has a unique design that isn’t seen anywhere else in the league so Props to Dallas for coming up with a great Stadium here at 16 we have yet another multi-purpose Arena and this is the United Center home to both the Blackhawks and the Bulls this stadium has a pretty clean interior not to mention all the bangers overhanging of the Bulls and the Blackhawks is a huge flex and it looks great nonetheless outside are the Bobby Hull and Stan Makita statues which is really nice touch and the exterior of the stadium looks extremely nice as well lot of concrete but they do it nicely not to mention this arena is known for being loud I mean literally the Acoustics were specifically designed to amplify the noise creating absolutely electric atmospheres at 15 we have the skoa bank Saddle Dome home to the Flames this arena is known for its unique shape hence the name Saddle Dome as the outer Dome is literally shaped like a saddle once again like I mentioned earlier I’m a huge fan of these unique Stadium designs it really helps them separate from the rest of the group and it has a pretty decent interior Arrangement slightly less fans than usual but I will say it does keep in the sound nicely and the ceiling design is nice as well at 14 we have crypto.com Arena once again for me this will always be Staple Center such a better name that rolls off the tongue but yeah this is always a solid Arena basketball or hockey I definitely think it’s more known for the basketball scene if you hear the word Staple Center or even crypto.com Arena as it’s called now your mind probably instantly flashes to the lake but the LA Kings do make this a nice home as well the outside of the Arena looks really nice especially the entrance and even the roof lights up and then looking at the inside of the Arena it is a little more on the darker side of things but with that being said it’s already nice as is and there’s plenty of Renovations coming as well such as some Upper Decks that will really make the interior look even better than it does now at 13 we have the sap Center home to the Sharks it’s the third oldest arena in the NHL still a really nice exterior though kind of a warehouse look but a a good way it looks like a more modern Warehouse nice designs on the exterior a really cool entrance as well with shark posters and palm trees then you look at the interior the interior is very well-kept considering the age of the stadium not to mention a very fun pregame at 12 we have the EXL Energy Center home of the Minnesota Wild the exterior is pretty nice a very circular glass focused outside of the Arena maybe a little more on the dated side of things it might just be that XL Energy sponsor on top but it doesn’t look bad and then the interior really holds its part as well the interior is nicely kept a nice Jumbotron and a lot of little details around the stadium such as the evergreen trees right beneath a Jumbotron there’s little statues of Peanuts characters wearing Minnesota Wild jerseys around the stadium not to mention the arena has a nice overall color scheme with that beige brown copper coloring which really reflects the team’s color overall at number 11 we have the historic Bell Center home to the Canadians a convenient location in the heart of Montreal the exterior looks solid nothing too grandiose but it definitely gets the job done and I love the brick work the interior features a lot of seating and not to mention the seating bow is pitched very steep because of the limited footprint the stadium has but also to keep fans closer and on top of the action and it also makes a more intimidating atmosphere with that being said this Arena tends to get very crowded at many points so despite the energy and all the historical impacts this Arena has the overall looks as well as the convenience is why it’s not any higher on this list entering our top 10 we have the PPG Paints Arena home to the Pittsburgh Penguins really really nice exterior and entrance especially with that glass the nice blue Arena sponsorship looks really nice and there’s statues in the front interior looks nice as well really just fits the Pittsburgh Penguins overall like it’s a perfect fit in my opinion I mean it fits with a Pittsburgh black and gold theme and overall it’s solid but nothing above and beyond to put it higher on this list at number nine we have the iconic Madison Square Garden just a venue that Sports should be played in I mean any sport will look amazing in here especially hockey and the Rangers do a great job filling in the stadium nicely this arena is a National Treasure it looks great the ceiling the canopy the old school organ it’s all just an experience that has done very well not to mention recent Renovations on the stadium have made it more modern and convenient while still keeping that historic feel and they really should be no list where the Madison Square Garden is not one of the top tier Arenas at eight we have the Little Caesars Arena home to both the Red Wings and the Pistons it’s actually a shame that the exterior of the stadium lets the amazing interior down a bit first of all looking at the exterior I mean it’s nothing terrible nice brick work and nice shops and venues around the stadium but you look at the overall appearance of it especially the aerial view and it’s really not that impressive you have that giant Little Caesars Arena sponsorship on top of the stadium that really doesn’t look that great the beauty though of this new stadium is the interior plenty of clubs a bar near the rink super modern amenities very clean look overall Suites going pretty much all the way to the ceiling like there’s actually a surprising amount of sections in the stadium and just a very impressive video board in the center as well at 7even we have the brand new UBS Arena opening in 2021 this arena is super modern probably one of the top exteriors League wide like you know it’s a stadium by the overall appearance of it but it really just looks like a nice modern building plenty of seating for food venues all around it’s it’s a really nice area the brick work just screams New York like I said the stadium opened in 2021 so you’d expect this Arena to have a pretty modern scen Arrangement and with that being said it does look clean doesn’t really do anything too out of the ordinary but just has a nice appearance overall at six we have the Nationwide Arena home of the Columbus Blue Jackets an awesome Arena despite the lack of success this team has seen throughout the two decades that they’ve lived in this Arena once again just like the UBS Arena the outside of the stadium looks great with all that brick work complemented nicely by the open window concept and once again it has that perfect combination of clearly being a stadium but not to the point where it sticks out like a sore thumb within the city interior is really nice as well with the Beautiful video board in the center but also video boards all around the stadium really lighting up the appearance and then the top it all off you have that 1850 cannon that goes off whenever the jackets take ice score a goal or win the game it’s these creative and personalized touches that really make these stadiums flourish cracking the top five we have the Amo Arena home to the Tampa Bay Lightning not only a successful team but also a very successful and beautiful Arena let’s talk about the inside first it’s really nice blue seating throughout blue everywhere really reflecting the Lightning’s primary color a towering video board in the center it looks great and not to mention that whole bar area towards the top of the stadium one of the better pregame shows in the league absolutely electrifying the exterior holds its own as as well and an amazing location right on the water and a beautiful entrance with that very unique lightning statue in the front and nice Windows along the outside which really go well with the white coloring at number four we have climate pledge Arena what a cool Stadium carbon neutral most of the arena is underground and with that being said you literally walk onto the upper Concourse and work your way down once you enter the arena beautiful use of LED throughout the stadium plenty of natural light considering one side of the rink is All Glass and then probably the most unique feature of the Interior is how they have those two twin video boards rather than the traditional singular video board that we see in most Arenas and then the exterior is just as impressive everything beneath that beautiful climate pledge canopy very futuristic look especially the sides on the top of the Arena look amazing and then the location right near the Seattle skyline I mean literally a block away is the Space Needle plenty of renovations make this Arena built in 1962 one of the best the league has to offer at number three we have T-Mobile Arena home to the Las Vegas golden knights a very flashy presentation plenty of pregame Antics going on as well this Arena fits in perfectly with a Las Vegas strip shiny exterior with glass and video boards light up just like the rest of Las Vegas a beautiful outside area with paths trees and light features really just Elevate the Mystique of the stadium along with the amazing amazing pregame show the interior also holds its own with very comfortable seating a nice video board and it’s one of those Arenas where every view in the house is a great view at number two we have Bridgestone Arena home to the Nashville Predators this Arena has everything first off let’s start with the amazing location in the heart of Nashville across from the Country Music Hall of Fame next to all the bars and restaurants the live music it’s a perfect location for a hockey arena the exterior of the stadium is extremely impressive looking futuristic not to mention there’s that giant 22 Story Tower which is an amazing sight line the rest of the outside just look super futuristic and modern really nice look now talking about the interior in classic Tennessee fashion there is a stage where live music is played during the game it’s directly behind the goal and there usually is a house ban that will entertain fans during breaks which Not only would be a clever idea in general but also just fits with that Nashville aesthetic so much and also the Nashville fans do an amazing job at delivering this intense energy to each and every game what a stadium and what an experience but at number one the greatest NHL arena in the league as of right now is Rogers Place home to the Edmonton Oilers it’s only right that this year’s Stanley Cup will be played in this beautiful Stadium now this arena is easily the most impressive in the league looking absolutely futuristic you walk in and you’re pretty much in a spaceship it’s very similar to legent stadium with that super futuristic circular design but in my opinion this Arena does it a bit better you have your main body of the Arena but then it kind of stretches out to an extra Concourse on the side even going over some public roads which I think is really cool how it interacts with that whole street and the reason behind all of this is that the footprint is the shape of an oil drop which is so cool and also clever and impressive that they managed to carry out this idea Beautiful video boards both inside and out the stadium plenty of halls and venues with actually pretty cheap food and yes these areas look absolutely futuristic as well very open concourses easy to navigate doesn’t feel crowded at all it’s attached to a casino there’s four restaurants in the facility Wayne Gretzky statue from the old place high pitch seating that really makes everybody feel like they’re in on the action plenty of Standing Room throughout the arena as well there’s really nothing wrong with the stadium and honestly very comfortably taking the one spot thank you guys so much for 1. Panthers second to last??? Why?? It's so nice and the location is fantastic. Just miles away from Fort Lauderdale. How about you go there and change ur ranking buddy.

  2. I've embarked on my quest to go to a game in every NHL arena the past few years. I came close to being halfway done with the quest, but the Coyotes leaving Mullet Arena means I must move my progress back by one. I haven't been to an absolutely bad arena yet, but arenas like Keybank Center and Enterprise Center are showing their age, while I enjoyed Wells Fargo Center and PNC Arena far more than I would have expected. That said, it is always nice to my home arena of American Airlines Center. I've seen 100 Stars games there, and I'm looking forward to the next 100.

  3. I love the Saddledome! Too bad in 4 years it will be demolished and replaced with a new cookie cutter facility. It’s just more Bread and Circuses for the masses sadly.

  4. Well these days the Shark Tank is rated pretty low now, because it definitely needs a renovation ASAP. I'm speaking the truth as a Sharks fan. The 90's aesthetic of the Arena is really starting to show its age.

  5. Anerant bank arena has a great entrance and outside sitting areas. Great concession. Great seats. Clean interior. Good parking. And a great team shop. Dont see why its so low.

  6. Putting Amerant Bank Arena at 31 is odd. Man… I get that it's 30 years old, but the energy is AWESOME! Ugh. Plus they could win a Stanley Cup in this building.

  7. Amalie Arena also has a HUGE exterior patio outside the upper concourse, overlooking the plaza below. And it works, because hey, Florida, great outdoor weather during hockey season.

Also surprisingly transit-friendly for the Tampa Bay area, with streetcar and water taxi options, and even ferry service available to St. Pete, in addition to the bus system. (Tip: park in Ybor City, and take the streetcar.)

  8. AAC at #17 is wild. That picture is from like 2000. the seats are totally changed and super comfortable, the scoreboard is massive now with 4K, and lots of new stuff has been added. lets use some up to date pictures for all the stadiums, as I noticed many that were very out date. great video.

  9. shouldn't the Delta Center now be on this list not the Mullett Center and the Flyers finished up a 400 Million dollar upgrades to Wells Fargo Center that is why they got the new jerseys before the start of this season that just pasted

  10. Ummm have you been to any of these arenas 😂😂😂😂 Honda center has had more renovations than I can count and has some of the best sight lines in the nhl. Don’t rank nhl arenas if you haven’t been to them…

  11. Pleasantly surprised that my hometown of Edmonton is at #1. The architecture is impressive and the view down to the ice is fantastic even from the uppermost rows of seats. Some problems though include the adjascent rapid transit station having been sized for daytime use of MacEwan University, and not swells of crowds for games or concerts. The old Commonwealth stadium far from downtown hasn't yet been permanently repurposed.

  12. Biggest surprise is Seattle's underground arena. Surprise being not that it ranks high, it should, but that it exists in this form at all! A timelessly modern exterior approach, temple-like in appearance and would make a prized destination for a visit should I ever again travel to Seattle.

  13. I feel like Florida wouldn't be that bad if it weren't located across the street from a mall and in front of a swamp. Being old doesn't make a building bad and it seems like they've kept it up pretty well. I just have a strong bias towards arenas being in their city, not in the middle of a parking lot. That's for the NFL.

  14. I will say, as a Sabres fan I may be biased, but the location of KeyBank center is about as good as it gets in Buffalo, as its right by the water in Downtown Buffalo, which is called Canalside and its a pretty nice area with a lot of restaurants near it. Although I do agree that the exterior is pretty lackluster.

  15. Nationwide is one of the few hockey specific arenas in the league. It's never had a proper showcasing because the team has been so abysmal since the beginning.

  16. I've been to just one Oilers game in Rogers Place, and I thought it was amazing. I'd been to a couple dozen games in the old Northlands Coliseum back in the 80s, which was amazing, and I even played in it once when I was a kid. It looked so huge from the ice surface. But it was old. Kind of sad to see it being dismantled, and it'll be gone next year. But Rogers Place is absolutely far superior.

  17. Blue jackets are my hometown team. I go to about 10 games a year even tho they suck. I love the arena the exterior blends in with the area around it in the arena district and the interior is probably one of the best in the league too. They also sell a lot of tickets despite constantly sucking. Too bad the team ain’t had much success in this beautiful arena but hopefully since we got rid of god awful gm jarmo we got a bright future💯 I also got a lot of family in St. Louis n I been to enterprise center a few times but I hate the interior of the blues arena. The blue n yellow around the top is ugly to me

  18. Saddledome is a DUMP. What is this ranking… just random comments and no evaluation of concourses, transit connections, seating types, etc.

Just random comments that contradict each other from arena to arena…

  19. How is the Dome not 31. Don't get me wrong it is a unique and cool looking building with a great vibe from the fans. But it is a dump that is falling apart, there is a reason the Flames are getting a new arena.
