Utah NEEDS a Cool Name! #NHL

to day [Music] hey everyone welcome to CER canu my name is Rev Trev and I want to do a quick video today regarding this newest team that’s coming to the NHL been wanting to make this video for a while Utah got a team and that one for me came a little bit out of left field I was like really like Utah is getting a team and I know that as Canadians we really want Quebec to get the team back you know or you know Saskatchewan wouldn’t that be great if Regina or Saskatoon got a team but I mean those are pipe dreams it feels like nowadays especially Quebec the nordes coming back would be epic and awesome but that’s just uh I think there’s a pipe dream at the same at the moment just like I want the sonics to come back to Seattle for the NBA as well as the Vancouver Grizzlies to come back to Vancouver I really think that that should happen now it sounds like Sonics will be coming back sooner and later but we’ll see we’ll see anyways to Utah’s um credit they get they get the Arizona Coyotes so they’re not starting from scratch there’s not going to be an ENT um uh what what do youever call it the draft that you know complemental draft or whatever it’s called no it’s not that whatever it is you know what I’m talking about so this is exciting news for the NHL because as I’d mentioned in a video about the Arizona Arizona Coyotes the mullet Arena was a joke of a place this is uh this is not an NHL arena the fans in Arizona deserve better they could not find a location so here they are now relocating B’s blunder right wow what an epic fail in Arizona they tried everything to keep that team there but the the Utah Jaz not Utah Jazz the Utah the Utah fans are going to be pumped and are pumped that uh they are getting an NHL team and this is actually I always find this kind of stuff pretty interesting and fun to talk about because um just like when Minnesota came back back and we thinking are they going to be the northstars are they you know or when Seattle and all the different names that were there um I was pretty pumped that you know that that the Seattle got the Kraken name so the biggest talk right now in Utah is like when or what name are they going to do they had 20 different names they were talking about I should probably just show you what those look like uh and what what they actually I I’ll show it to you in a second but um but here and then this tweet came out by Ron uh Chris Johnston um said after taking 5,000 uh uh 20 five 520,000 I don’t know what’s with me today sorry everyone 520,000 votes from fans that’s a lot of that’s a lot of votes Utah’s NHL team is down to six possible names and that’s what this video is all about and in my opinion I my opinion there are two great names okay um three three names that I’d be okay with okay and then there’s one horrific name okay and so this is just my personal opinion I mean it’s my channel it’s my opinion please post in the comments what you think because that’s that’s I always want to know what you think as well but my opinion and this one some people are trying to get traction on this one the worst name on the list by far even in the 20 is this one right here the Utah Hockey Club Utah HC this is terrible it’s like you have no name you have no name uh you might as well be called the Utah no names just like when the Washington Redskins Chang their name and they are all to debate what they’re going to do and they ended up going commanders before they got to commanders they said the Utah football team wow that was terrible like terrible they even just put a a you know number on the side of their helmets look like a college football team what is this the NFL or is this like you know college and this is what I’m like when when I think about this name Utah Hockey Club really people in the states need to know that it’s the hockey club I mean that’s what it is they know they’ll know it’s the hockey club th this one also drives me n because it reminds me of a soccer club and you know what soccer reminds me of diving diving those guys they got hit looks like they got shot they they’re getting taken on on stretchers and they ALS sudden miraculously get healed and come back into the game it’s like that that’s the last thing I want my hockey team if I was in Utah um if I was a fan of this I I would not be interested at all in this name the Utah Hockey Club Utah HC this oh it drives me nuts now obviously I’m a conu fan does not matter you if you guys want to name your team the Utah Hockey Club go go for it I’m just going to laugh I mean you’re not going to get any respect um I think you have to have something around the culture of Utah and this doesn’t say anything about your culture now granted interesting name for the Utah Jazz for example that they’re not known for their Jazz so why did they call themselves the Utah Jazz it’s it’s a little bit weird but but it’s stuck and and it’s cool now I don’t think you’ll ever get to the Utah Hockey Club and think that’s cool it’s only people who follow soccer and they’re like yeah that’s neat it’s like yeah watch soccer this is hockey the fastest game on Earth where people hit and and you know get in fights and score goals and make like it’s not just a game of passing no goals soccer is a game of no goals it’s I mean there’s I know there’s games that have been GR I get it I didn’t realize there was going on a rant on soccer but and you know they call it football but it’s like you know here we call it soccer come on this this is the game where you lose teeth this is the game it’s rough you got to be a man to play it you know and so soccer is is good in its own right and I I’m you know most of the world likes it so I get it but not it’s not a hockey name everyone that’s maybe maybe the point I’m trying to make here this is the worst name in my opinion by a landslide by a landslide now I’m probably going to get a lot of comments like you don’t like soccer and okay I’m I’m just saying that this name sucks okay this name sucks now the ones that I think are really decent and I think I would I would be okay with um are are these ones right here these are the three names the Utah mammoth the Utah Outlaws and the Utah Venom now I like them all for three different reasons the mammoth is it’s just a it’s just just a powerful old name right like big huge you know the mammoth are coming into town it’s like oh my goodness like you know be prepared you know it’s kind of like the Seattle Kraken it’s like oh my goodness you know and I know it’s just a name but that that one’s pretty cool The Outlaws interesting name really interesting name to go with and I mean I’m thinking mascot when I’m by the way Utah H HC what kind of mascot are you gonna get I mean I guess gritty is has nothing to do with Philadelphia is just this crazy looking guy which he turned into one of the best mascots but but when you look at these names the Utah Mammoth got a mammoth that’s walking around Stadium kids are going to love it uh The Outlaws could just a lot of people dress up as uh you know Outlaws Cowboys um you know it’ll be kind of cool to go into the into the stadium like that and then the Venom the Venom now I I don’t know if like I’m not I’ve never been to Utah I’m assuming just because I all the mountains in the desert and all that kind of stuff there’s probably a lot of snakes there but I’m I’m not sure I’ve never been I’ve never been my friends have been they said it was beautiful there um just not on my top 10 destinations on in bucket list just saying but maybe I’ll go there now because there’s a hockey team I don’t know the Venom that’d be okay that’d be okay um I I used to live in Vernon uh BC where the it was the Vernon vipers and they had rattlesnakes and uh crazy stuff there uh so you know maybe it was a good name for them but the Utah Venom I mean those three of those names they’re cool they’re cool I could I could live with any one of these I I think out of them the Venom and the mammoth are are getting some traction but these are the two that I really like I think these are great names the Utah blizzard and the Utah Yeti and if you look at any one of these things the Utah Yeti is like blowing away any any pole I think the fans in Utah the fans of the NHL are like all in because it’s like the mascot and and just a reminder like look at this look at this um um did I put it in here no I didn’t put it in here uh just just even my um my uh I’m just I’m bringing it up my uh my thumbnail this is just such a cool cool one you know what I mean like look how cool that looks now granted it’s like a you know AG look at look at the Utah Hockey Club no name it’s just so stupid but like I mean that could be the mammoth too I guess it’s a Yeti and a MTH I don’t know it can’t be a mammoth like that no it can’t be the mammoth uh but the yeti like that that’s pretty cool that that would be super cool um the blizzard I like it and I maybe the reason why I like it maybe maybe I shouldn’t like it as much but the Utah blizzard like some of you like what is this Dairy Queen the Dairy Queen Blizzards if you think about the in the BC the cutney ice like it’s like really just called yourself the ice that’s pretty stupid right it’s like no it it actually was awesome I love the the name the cutney ice I thought it was catchy it was it you know spoke up and that’s probably why I like you know maybe Mammoth blizzard Yeti a little bit more than everyone else just because it’s like it’s it’s cold you know where the Outlaws and the Venom not so much it doesn’t have to do with ice or anything like that or you know in the winter or that kind of stuff that’s why I don’t really like those ones as much but like I can I can live with the mammoth I I just think the blizzard is like it’s like man it’s freezing cold it it’s it’s it’s a you know it’s just a crazy time to live have you ever you know the Blizzard’s coming if you got a blizzard coming you want to be like you got to lock up in the house and you got to stay warm and you know fight the elements I don’t know maybe I’m I’m making this sound worse than it is but the the blizzard just reminds me of the cooty ice reminds me of something like you know tough like you know tough it’s like the storm you know but worse it’s it’s a it’s a really bad winter storm right where the yeti it just it just I mean the possibilities are endless of the Yeti it’s just it’s just different it’s cool a lot of people say oh these are a bunch of kid names n n nah I I I like these a lot so obviously everyone um what name do you like the best for the Utah I want to say Utah Jazz I’m so used to saying the Utah Jazz no for the Utah NHL team post it in the comments okay now um on nhl.com they wrote an article about players excited for fresh start with uh Utah NHL team and they have Ryan Gunther said um he said the move will bring around the team I know the people of Utah and Salt Lake City uh area are super excited to have a hockey team they don’t have a ton of pro uh Sports there uh they have basketball which has been sold out for 300 games in a row or something he said I know there will be some Buzz around the team and a little momentum of what we can take into it so like this team starting next season I guess 2024 2024 2025 or this season actually I shouldn’t say next season now their arena is smaller I believe it’s 16,000 people uh Utah will start next season with 16,200 seats for hockey and it will be re renovated to host 17,500 for hockey over the course of the next couple of years they’re talking about having a brand new arena for the Jazz and whatever the let’s just use the blizzard for a moment the Jazz and the blizzard right what you know name whatever name you want to name so I mean that’s already better than better than what Arizona was doing at the end so now I I know this video is like I mean it’s five o’clock 5:15 I think I started this or launched it or something like that I I know a lot of you going to be watching this later Post in the comments what you think hit the like And subscribe everyone I love making KX content that is passionate realistic honest I also like talking about league as well and it I don’t know what’s going on but like the don’t you feel that it was way too big of a break for the finals it’s like really it’s s Saturday Saturday like it has been such it feels like hockey’s over you know we in Vancouver we’re talking about free agents we’re talking about you know signing our ufas we’re talking about who’s available on the free agency we’re talking about the well actually we’re not talking about draft the rest of NHL is talking about the draft because they have draft picks but why in the world is it take so long why in the world take so long I also heard a rumor that when will they launch the name it sounds like they won’t launch the name they won’t do all the branding and the stuff until the following season which I’m like really like with graphic design people nowadays and and and I think you could get it done before next season before this season I think you totally could so maybe I’m wrong about that post in the comments if I’m wrong about that but I keep hearing it’s not for this year it’s going to be the year after so they might do something dumb and and and say it’s the Utah Hockey Club for this year but it’s going to be the the yeti next year or whatever um or it is the yeti and then I don’t know I don’t know what they’re going to do all I know is Utah’s excited um it’s going to be weird thinking about that so yeah uh personaliz says that they already have a name already uh Le says Utah guys with hockey sticks that’s a good one uh Stuart’s talking about cam loops I don’t know what what what that has to do with Utah but good to see you Stuart uh this one’s awkward Callum there are some creative ones though Callum I think it’s pretty funny that you you posted that one but um that’s that’s awkward um Jimmy says that Yeti is the perfect name um Le says that Mammoth is equivalent to unicorns really I don’t see that at all but I mean you know you’re entitled to your opinion um [ __ ] the Utah magic Underpants yikes um yeah the Venom’s okay it’s okay um how to spell as hockey team Utah I don’t know I don’t know man Venom is terrible in in Jimmy’s uh um opinion already have the Avalanche yes yes the the are are you thinking the blizzard and the Avalanche are a little too close I I I don’t think they’re close enough but Blizzard’s a storm Avalanche coming down I don’t know Avalanche is pretty cool I actually thought that was really cool um read your comments once in a while we are smarter than you you probably are you probably are Utah underdogs because that’s what they are for at least 10 years unless they get that coach can’t remember his name I think his nickname is was the big HW um toy maker says Utah Dino uh Utah Dynamite um okay that’s that’s all right uh Venom is the is a name of name comic book fans um yeah I mean like Venom as in from from Marvel uh is it Marvel or DC it’s Marvel because he’s against Spider-Man so yeah yeah that’s that’s one we are Venom yeah yeah so I you guys have some good good names um good ideas I mean except for Callum that’s pretty [Laughter] bad um yeah so uh Callum that’s awesome I love it I love it that you’re here man I love it that you’re here yeah some people had done the Utah Saints um I don’t think that one’s as good but it’s okay it’s okay um I want to I want to show you guys uh where is is it this one yes I want to show you this these were the other names okay these were the other names so you Utah Canyon canons Canyons that’s that’s Canyons uh Frost it’s hard to read these freeze swarm glaciers powder that’s awful powder that’s almost as bad as hockey team uh black diamonds blast is it say Caribou Squall I I can’t even read that one Utah Hive Mountaineers that’s terrible Fury I like that Fury Utah ice I would have been okay with that one too so those were some of the name options that were already there yeah so so I mean just a reminder everyone this is my um my ex Channel my uh Twitter Channel think they’re going to land with a Yeti but we’ll see there’s there’s five names out of those six that I’m I’m totally okay with I think there’s two that are the best maybe three and then there’s
