New Jersey Devils Stadium Series Short Documentary
[Music] you know I don’t know if I ever envision myself you know playing an outdoor game you know it’s something you dream of when you’re a kid it’s going to be crazy I think so um you know I think everyone’s really excited there’s definitely a buzz around the room you don’t really get these experiences too much you know you you may only get a few in your career so try to bring our our a game and and help uh win the game for our team what do you try to tell the young guys obviously enjoy it but at the end of the day you kind of got to put the the noise aside and you’re there to to win two points that’s really what we’re here to do the devils and Flyers tonight we’ll play for the 260th time but the first time without a roof over their head there’s a breakaway opportunity ni heser to the backand he scores just 32 seconds in Nico heser has the Devils first on the [Applause] board that’s Tyler T Foley with the goal for New Jersey to give the Devils a two nothing [Applause] [Music] lead he jams bws to the goal line and and the Jersey fans don’t like [Applause] it rebound goal Smith the defenseman with a rare goal he was in close to the net and scored on the rebound Bastion scor Nathan Bastion just his fourth goal of the year [Applause] here and heer scores again off the takeaway his second of the night and it’s a three-goal lead for the Devils five to2 Lazar moved it ahead and an empty net for Bastion and the Devils lead six to three F of night throughout and it ends with the most important celebration of victory for the home team after we know we won I I just try to soak it in as much as I can cuz those are games you will never forget in your career I don’t think enough gets said about our fans here and that showed it and that was that was on display and I that that meant a lot to us um they were they were a seventh man out there and it was it was great I don’t think we’re allowed to wear this again next game uh too bad uh Nico Nico took care of us we uh as a group we kind of decided something very Jersey themed we wanted to be a part of and I just showed up and everything was ready to go in my stall so it was easy and it was a lot of fun for us [Music]
