Fanatics and Nike on behalf of Los Angeles daugh Foundation we are so so excited that you’re here to celebrate the Dodgers city connect Jersey and watch our Dodgers dream team players for the 2023 Nik the RBI World Series let’s make some noise now I know you guys are checking it out but don’t forget that 11:30 you guys can go back out there for Dodger Day presented by ARCO on the back of as well now I want to welcome not only a friend a colleague but also the CEO of the Los Angeles Dodgers Foundation Nicole wman thank you Alisa hey everybody happy Saturday how are we doing good good asisa mentioned my name is Nicole whitean and I’m the CEO of the Los Angeles Dodgers foundation and I am so grateful to have our Dodgers Dream Team family out here on the Dodgers Renfield at beler Park in the city of La let’s give a shout out to all of ourselves please I am really thrilled that today we get this opportunity to celebrate the UN of the 2024 LA City connect Dodgers jersey along with our Dodgers day here at the park the Dodgers servation as most of you know we’re tackling a laic problems and that is education healthare homelessness and social justice for all angelinos and we believe that every Angelino should have the opportunity to drive hence the reason that we bring activities like this to community and right around the corner from your home we launched our do team program in 2013 11 seasons ago and this year we’re serving 13,000 boys and girls playing baseball and softball at 99 locations across La in Long Beach so this is just one because we’re bigger than baseball Dodger stram team actually uses the power of sport not just to allow you to play baseball and softball but we provide critical education and Health Resources to communities and to families to ensure that those who we believe are experiencing social injustices are getting with they deserve the success of this program um has allowed us to attract some amazing partners and today I really just want to be extremely grateful and thankful for Fanatics particularly this is the first kind of En time City connect event and Steve e and his team at Fanatics has been amazing been planning this event for us for months to bring to the community and we’re just really thankful so let’s give it up for Fanatics I also want to give a big shout out to Nike Nike’s not only the largest Dodger Dream Team sponsor but they actually supported these field that were on today and so they helped us build East DOD gra Fields here at belir Park a few years ago and they have their Community stor down the way so I just also want us to give it up for n for supporting this community and I always say that partnership is a secret sauce of success the Dodgers Foundation doesn’t do this work solo so a big big shout out to Los Angeles County city park excuse me County Park and re um particularly I want to say you know thank you to Mercy santoral deputy director to Martin Gras to Tony Brandon to Daisy Roop and the entire team here at Bel Park um you keep it moving for families here and you make us all look so good and we just appreciate you for continuing to show up for community over and over and over again I want to give a big shout out to Arco our Dodgers Dream Team Dodger Day sponsor who shows up for us we’re doing seven of these across Los Angeles this year in various ways and AR continues to support us in a big way along with makeup America there are Dream Team community and Ambassador who’s done an amazing job of bringing volunteers out here time and time again so thank you to make of America as we celebrate the LA City connect Dodger jersey we’re happy to have our Dodge and Dream Team guys out here look at them in their jerseys don’t they look awesome amazing thank you all for being here if you didn’t know many of the guys here today actually participated in the 2023 Nike MLB RBI World Series in Florida so congrats on that experience and I’m glad that you’re here with us today and speaking of how um honored we are to have players here today um as Alisa mentioned how amazing that behind me are Jason Hayward and Bobby Miller and legends oral Hershiser and Adrian Gonzalez let’s give it up for them for joining us I hope everyone has a really fantastic day I know we’re going to get through the Showcase and then we’ve got our dog day and lots of families to participate in but before that I want you all to join me and welcoming someone who as I mentioned has been so instrumental to making today happen he’s a friend an amazing colleague an amazing partner from Fanatics BP of club and team relations [Applause] cast morning everyone thetics I just want to say we’re honor and super excited to be part of this you guys outstanding in the uniforms we’re excited to be part of the city connect launch n for this uh this evening when they de the uniforms on field and just want to thank Nicole for the partnership I want to thank jino and La Rosen in partnership with the Dodgers and it really has been a collective effort we have worked on this since last December and I’ve done probably 30 or 40 City directed and I will tell you that call and her team are the most up organization ever worked with so really I want to give her another round of applause and then finally with that we have a little surprise for Nicole so Madison if you br that out we have a one of aind City connect Jersey I me what you guys are kind of doing out here and why is this kind of important to you guys yeah you know today we are here as part of the community City connect um unveiling of the 2024 Jersey tonight obviously the players will Dawn those jerseys at the stadium but we wanted to make sure with together with Fanatics that we brought the community into this and so we’re at Bader Park with um our Dodgers dream team players and the community and family having a showcase game and a Dodger Day so a real opportunity for our families to come out and participate in watching this stellar game but also um participating in education and health services and resources that we typically bring out to the community on Saturdays anyway thank you how excited were you to get your own City connected oh I’m so excited um my customized City connect Jersey was an amazing surprise for today I think the Jersey is very indicative of Los Angeles it feels very LA and so I’m excited to be a part part of the fam yeah why do you think it’s important for collaborate with help people yeah you know we started our Dodgers Dream Team program about 11 years ago and we’ve been doing this work and now we serve 13,000 youth at 99 locations in LA and Long Beach but it’s bigger than baseball is what we always say and so yes they get free baseball and softball programming and it’s the practices and it’s the games but it’s also about the education and the health resources and bringing those services to the community and so we bring together a h partners that can make sure that families are getting those Dental screenings those eye screenings you know the health screenings the the books donated the science of baseball training and so much more on site while also bringing like the fun of Dodger baseball right so our bobblehead character and today to bring the players out and to bring Dodger alumni out we want to make sure the community feels the love outside of Dodger Stadium thank you thank you Nicole absolutely thank you guys I get one more yeah you mentioned this is a first of its kind event like how special is it to be able to do this and maybe kind of PVE it away for other teams to follow souit yeah it is very special um I think that you know we consider ourselves at the Dodgers Foundation a leader in our own right we started to plan this event with Fanatics and Nike back in December so the opportunity to infuse our Dodgers dream Fields here at belvadere Park together with our Dodgers Dream Team program and now with the city connect unveiling um really special but also to bring the community into it everyone doesn’t have the opportunity to go to Dodger Stadium and everyone isn’t always a part of it so to be able to bring this to community and to make sure that people understand it’s about you too I think that’s very unique and very special and I hope it is replicated in other [Music] places fellas 2 City I can’t hear you 1 2 3 City
