what’s up guys Ryan barui I got my coffee and then I’m about to break open some Topps 2024 series 1 cards huge coffee guy got to have one every day um all always C Brew black just I I love the bitterness and the strength of C Brew I’ve been that way and if they don’t have C Brew um which happens a couple times um I’ll get an iced Americano black but only black I don’t put any sugar or cream in it yeah so I actually just started about this year one of my former teammates I play with the Blue Jays is really into it and he got me into it I’m actually collecting my 19 or 2019 Bowman um big leag card in the rainbow I’m one away from completing my rainbow um so I’m pretty puffed about that and uh yeah it’ll just be a good Keepsake for me uh going forward and show my kids and everything Ryan Presley Zach gallon Tony gosin TK scoel Tyler Wells Alex kirol Patrick Corbin so it’s funny so Patrick Corbin I don’t really have a story about him but um like a personal story but for my own uh personal use he as he’s holding like this this I think it looks like a slider or Cutter when I learned my slider I was really struggling with um throwing in the consistency of it so I just looked up Lefty pitchers that had a really good slider and I remember looking up a still shot and I saw the grip that he uses and from that day on I’ve only used that grip and it’s really has kept me in the big leagues thus far um cuz that’s the pitch I really rely on the most so that’s a cool little story about him that was I saw a little still shot of the slider that he throws and I’ve used it to this day so he doesn’t know but thank you Patrick [Music] Corbin Gregory Santos JP Sears um Astros no no Shane Bieber ke Brian Hayes um obviously you guys all know him Gold Glove third baseman um he’s one of my favorite guys on the team he just goes about his business hard-nosed quiet just is all all ball no talk um he’s one of my favorite guys in the clubhous for sure Riley green Steven Quan Ellie De La Cruz Jared Duran Starling Marte Willie Castro so Ellie de Cruz I would only say he’s probably my biggest hit in card collecting so far I got a case hit in the Bowman 2024 it’s the Gladiator uh case pull to 99 Auto so he’s probably my biggest pull I’ve had so far in my card collecting as ripping packs vlat Guerrero I’ve known him since he was man since he was 18 years old and probably a funny story is um I remember we were playing in the minor leagues we’re playing on the back fields and D and the wind was blowing in about probably about 30 40 mph straight into left from left field and he was facing Nate Pearson who was the top prospect at the time throwing over a 100 me and him were pitching against each other but vlat was on my team in an inner Squad and I told vlat I said hey man if you hit one out on this guy I have nothing but respect for you and little do I know two pitches Larry goes up he hits an absolute missile into the wind like a tiger wood Stinger into the wind and it goes out about about 30 ft and he just comes up right after right up to me in the Dugout he’s like you respect me now Poppy and I was like yeah yeah I do so that’s a really cool story about vlat we got Salvador Perez yand Diaz uh Jared triolo third baseman second baseman basically anywhere in the infield that you want him to play he’ll play met him last year when I was in AAA um for the minute I saw him I really thought he was always going to be a big leager just cuz of the how he presents himself how he goes about his business and um yeah he’s a great great teammate um I like messing with him a lot he’s one of the rookie guys that I I like giving him some crap but he can take it really well and give it back to me as well so he’s one of my favorite guys in clubhouse for sure all right so this is the hobby exclusive usually in Hobby boxes either like The Bowman it’s one autograph so the top series 1 uh usually these are like kind of hologram holograph uh hologram cards but this is you get this with the hobby box the purchase of the hobby box so we’ll see what we got if we get any good Jordan laow Christopher Morell I played with him in AAA last year when I started with the Cubs um he’s an awesome guy um but man he was the month that I was in AAA with him he was on an absolute Terror he hit about 10 or 11 homers in a month and it was like a funny thing in the bullpen where it was like all right if we’re down two or three we just need to get a couple guys out on so he could just hit a homer in more times than not he did so uh yeah that was Christopher moral peow Armstrong Nolan Ryan and nothing yeah as you can see these are pretty cool cards kind of like holographic cards um you usually get these with like a hobby box so so we got here the tops Chrome black 2023 we tried to get 2024 but they’re all sold out so we’re going for 2023 um in this pack you’re guaranteed one refractor parallel and A Auto Chrome Auto so we’re trying to look for probably Elli De La Cruz um gunar Henderson adley Rutman shohi obviously guys like that for the big uh autograph we want to get close to one of On’s we’ll see what we got so you can see it’s cool it comes with like a little styrofoam makes it a little bit makes it a little bit more um secretive you know cuz we’ll really make the auto big reveal so you get four cards um and then one autograph so five cards in one box so we got Taj Bradley very rarely do you see this we got a Taj Bradley to 99 so two and one two of the same guy so that works anything numbered is huge and then an Oswald perza and then the last but not least let’s see what we got we’re going to do a little slow we got a Kenny Lofton to 50 Auto not bad Hall of Famer in my book I don’t know if he’s in the Hall of Fame just yet but guy played about for 17 different teams so Kenny Lofton Auto nice hit for us right here [Music]
