The Washington Commanders Think This Rookie Will Be Special. Steal Of The Draft?

yo what is up guys this is Pedro here and today’s video I’ll be talking about a rookie that the Washington Commander front office and coaches think have the chance to be a very special player if you guys are new make sure to subscribe hit that like button and the notification Bell as well we are very very close to 13,000 subscribers so please help me get there so let’s get right into it and again in a different spot and it’s you know later at night so have to be a little bit more quiet but let’s go ahead and talk about this rookie that a lot of front office Executives really liked when the draft was happening and he’s been impressing so far or has impressed in many Camp otaa stuff like that and I really like this player so I think he has a chance to be a stud let’s talk about him that is Jordan McGee who the Washington commanders drafted in the fifth round made a video about him about a month ago and actually did really well had like you know 18,000 views you guys really enjoyed it and talked about his potential and we you know learned some more information about him but just an overview fifth round guy out of Temple uh very athletic build you know very athletic player good build uh 87.2 PFF grade in 2023 seventh amongst all linebackers here’s a you know clip of him um in rookie mini camp and you know looks smooth and quick the footwork is good so uh good to see that so just showing you guys some stuff here and then Sam Fortier had an article and it was kind of showing the confidence that the Commander’s front office had in Jordan McGee so I’m not going to go through the whole article cuz the article kind of goes through the draft process um with Adam Peters and the regime so a lot of good information there so if you guys want to go ahead and check it out uh I’ll leave the link in the description if I don’t just look that I’m going to try to but if I don’t look that up it’s right there good article by Sam Forte of the Washington Post but they talk about some of the players and they had a table talk which was to give all involved a chance to advocate for kind of the sleepers that they thought the organization should draft or compete to sign as you know undrafted free agents by the end of the caucus the room had a clear favorite and that was Jordan McGee um early in the draft process there’s a lot of people that didn’t know a lot about him uh the Ron Rose gave a presentation on the athletic two-time Captain who had shined even as the owl struggled uh when we met on McGee his film and the conversation opened a lot of people eyes he really kind of burst on the scene for us so some good stuff there and at least one person from every Department stunt for McGee the commanders didn’t have a fourth round pick so they sweated for a couple hours but early in the fifth Washington was on the clock and McGee was still there Peters ask Rose to pull McGee’s name off the board it was the ultimate organizational pick that right there is a huge statement uh and he considered a symbol of the most open collaborative process he had been around in nearly three decades in the NFL that also speaks volumes to the type of room the commanders have in the front office and that’s just day that this is year one not even year one like I think year one is really going to be next year when they have their own guys because they’re still like if you have been paying attention after the draft they’ve been bringing in a lot of different Scouts some Scouts from the Ravens some uh other Scouts as well from you know the Lions and different teams so they really truly don’t have their own guy yet or I guess they truly don’t have their own guy there r or whatever I’m saying I’m sorry they don’t have their all their own guys yet or during the draft they didn’t and now they’re starting to build that front office out so it’s next draft is when it really gives him the chance to have that full year together and scouting and right now or this past time they didn’t have a lot of time to get together to really get their own guys so I think this next year will be their first true draft class that this front office gets together uh but Jordan McGee I think he has a chance to be a good player for the commanders he you know depending on what they do with Jamon Davis if Jamon Davis is more of an ed rusher this year then Jordan McGee could be the third linebacker on the squad and maybe start off as like a c again I’m not their different positions but I’m just comping kind of the role Cameron curl and his rookie year didn’t play you know wasn’t a starter to you know start the season was more of a special teams player and played in the buffalo nickel position every once in a while you know he was getting in PT he was getting and he was making some plays but then Lon Collins got hurt and he got some or he he started for them and you know hopefully none of these guys get hurt knock on wood but if they do yeah knock on wood but if they do then I think Jordan McGee could be that next guy if he is ready and I think he has a chance to be a stud for the Washington commanders very athletic guy produced at Temple let’s go ahead and I have Luke mcaffrey stuff here but let’s go ahead and look at Jordan McGee so played from 2019 to 2023 two-time Captain um 2020 had one interception one and a half tackles for loss 15 tackles 2021 had a bigger year you can see that his best year though was 2023 where he had 80 tackles 14 tackles for loss three and a half sacks for pass break ups and a forced fumble uh so good stuff there and I want to look up let’s go ahead and that’s another video to make but let’s go Jordan McGee and R I want to show you guys some of his athletic numbers so I guess okay there we go so he 9.6 which is very good speed 4555 40 Y dash is very good and some of the other stats are solid as well the vertical 35.5 for linebacker is good broad jump you know 10 ft and 4 in I believe that’s what it is is very very good as well uh ranked 117th out of basically 3,000 linebackers from 1987 to two to 2024 so overall a very very athletic linebacker close to athletic as you’re going to get uh there’s a few players that are more but again only 116 guys that are more athletic than him him in the last 37 years that’s a lot of time so um yeah he’s got the tools really the height and the weight is really the biggest issue with him but I mean I saw I swear I saw a picture of him and he looked absolutely jacked so I don’t think that is going to be a issue at all I don’t think that’s going to be an issue at all I think he is already a little bit heavier and I think that you know he is going to play special team for the commanders right away and then after might start getting in a little bit more PT for the Washington commanders going over some stuff Daniel Jeremiah really liked him and this just a you know tweet right here from Steve AR uh Concepts a lot of you know captains were in the Washington commanders draft but I think we’re going to end it right there just you know talking about a rookie and a guy that I really like and clearly the commanders you know front office likes and some of the coaches have spoken highly of him but yeah thank you guys for watching I hope you guys enjoyed if you guys did stay till the end go ahead and comment down below what is an OG player we can do we’ll go Brandon Banks thanks for watching and peace

  1. 13k… Dang pedro. Your doing big things. Congrats. Been watching you for a while. I don't watch every video you post but if there is a subject I'm not very educated on and I see it in the title of your video, I know I can come get a 10 minute rundown and don't have to listen to all other kinds of stuff that I already know all about and don't need to hear it repeated. Keep up the good work. I'm amped for you… Just out of curiosity, if you feel comfortable answering; at 13k subscribers and the amount of videos you post is your YouTube income getting close to like a minimum wage job(maybe way more, I dunno). I've seen ppl break down how pay works but I'm just curious as far as a real world scenario. Thx

  2. Yo what up, Pedro. I think a good old-school player to cover would be Mike Sellers. He was a dawg! Plus I heard something about him dealing with some serious health issues recently. Keep up the great coverage, bro! HTTRWFTC4LIFE!!!
