fast ball plays at 95 96 after you start setting that change up a lot with a nice little cter nice little breaking ball he’s going to keep guys off balance that’s what big league pitching is all about getting guys off the sweet spat The Sweet Spot of the barrel is one thing about it you know it’s fast ball when he throw his change so good his fast ball look maybe three miles faster than it really is right and that’s why when you run the plate you get anes after the game you go home you say my God that was a very very comfortable off for four yeah Jak Berger kept swinging on the first pitch and he would just making out he was throwing Cutters change UPS he’s mixing up on him I mean that’s what pitch is all about we’ve lost that art in the game we got to get back to it because guys are blowing out with Tommy JN every 5 seconds because everyone’s trying to throw a ball 100 miles an hour I know uh Eric fetty might be on the trade block but him and Drew just got to keep talking to each other take I think he has taken Drew Thorp under his wing cuz I mean they’re kind of like similar in a way right with what they can do their arsenals with each other that’ be awesome that’d be awesome because first of all this guy got struggle yeah in his career in the beginning yeah fat he did then come back did a tremendous job now he know he got fight pitch he can use I don’t spend TP to go out there and throw the fight pitch but at least learn how to survive with the half and L one more pitch be around the play Don’t Be Afraid have confidence you have confidence this kid had oh my God he look like he we’ been here for 10 years already I like that it’s not unrespect about like kak is the right way the r itself he’s confident confident so much confidence also to see a kill like that got first three pitches he got two change ups that changed your mentality at the plate especially a fastball guy like Chism so kept him off balance all night same with the rest of these crew they could not uh dial in on him they probably game plan was sit on his change up but he kept mixing it up with all all of his pitches he’s got a great arsenal I like this kid he’s a pitcher he’s not a thrower and the game’s got to get back I’m telling you to guys learning to pitch this kid can pitch what day I was seeing in slow motion is CH your one one go away from the heater and another one’s died down straight down I don’t know you try to do that or is that fast look F racing up you see like Oh Come the CH fast you’re late you see that straight down and and another one it’s a little bit like a away from the Lefty pretty pretty pretty good second when You Face a guy with a good change up you got to stay in the middle of the field but with this guy the worst thing you can do with a guy with a great change up like this is sit on the change up because if he can throw his other two pitches for strikes it makes it a long night for you really does mean do hitters really sit on change UPS well a guy that throws probably 60% change UPS course they do yeah and that’s just what the game is how rare is that right now in the well it’s very rare because you don’t have too many guys who can throw a change up like that yeah and consistently throw up for strikes now I think I think wish I don’t know I’ve been long time off the field they don’t change they don’t teach that in the man League they velocity you you not throw 99 yes you know you’re going to stay here for another two years yeah I mean do you think this is why the Yankees and the padr like yeah you know what we’ll find another guy we don’t need you to th P tray them no I just listen the last few years everyone’s talking about strikeouts they won’t strike out all strikeouts soon don’t let these kids blow their arms out you get Tommy John after one year in the big leagues now yeah these guys like this can last you 8 n years because they have an Arsenal 92 mph fastball that plays about 95 with a super solid change up a little cutter and a slider big slider when he needs it so I like what he’s done so far you can start judging this guy can pitch you need these type of guys in your Rotation by the way you know you got you get Tommy Young surgery when you 11 years old yes hey back in back in here around my area my kids onire you see kids Tommy Young you see well he’s stronger so he can throw N I know but it’s some guys you go to high school yeah you know thr 100 I don’t know you can in the team you go to college same way all the sudden when you really start pitching to make a living your arms is down that’s why you can ask uh Dr uh Andrew and and and rest of his people how much money they making with that surgery right well the other thing with him is he seems to have the ability to go into the seventh inning M into the eighth in go to the eighth inight I I I didn’t like the pitcher change yeah I’m like the guy’s dealing he knows what he’s doing he’s kept everyone off balance why give extra three outs to this Bullpen this bull this bager Bullpen we got has been overused all year long you got a guy that can get you eight Innings where he had 90 pitches so I would have gave that kid another 14 pitches 104 pitches he’s fine cuz he’s throwing a change up most of the night he’s not throwing velocity velocity so let the kid pitch cuz he’s on top of his game like a he said he’s very confident right all right so bottom of the seventh inning they take him out and John breia comes in in some nervous moments in this game uh nothing’s easy for the white socks this year apparently man on second Xavier Edwards RBI single Ben aeny don’t throw home he did oh D just showed that this embarrassing the guy been in the big Le for 30 years come on man you’re not going to throw the guy out throw the B any trouble I would have left him out there because like I said he was pitching he had guys thinking at the plate the entire night he was getting out after out because he was making big pictures ESP against a club you know they’re not that look those they should opportunity yeah um then three uh going to be three to two eventually and we were sweating so was Michael copc copc was sweating like there’s like a waterfall coming down through his cap uh and this the this is is the worst road so the White Sox are the worst Road team in baseball the Marlins are the worst home team but they have he’s never been known for his Bat but he’s starting to hit he did have big hits with Houston yeah he’s showing he hit a little bit now all right uh and when it comes to our pick to click we are not doing a good job we are not picking Nikki Lopez enough I watched bat and PRS today that’s right and I was like Nikki looks good malado look good at the plate tmy fam looked good at the plate and I didn’t choose not one of those guys and all of them got well pretty much both of were hits so that’s why I’m going the phone we Lopez we see him hit the oppos opposite way yeah two days in a row we going over this yeah he went over Steven Quan Cleveland and he did espe this ball part it’s not easy to hit ball over people’s head yes well he found on something there RBI double there uh let’s hear up and uh he he threw me a um I think it was a curveball or slider that was actually below the zone so I kind of had the mentality see it up but just kind of reacted to it and um I guess put a good swing on it and then um the second at bat uh the second double just uh I knew maybe he was coming with a fast ball and um just try to take a good swing at it it’s all I can do Nikki the last two series you used to reach out and tap the ball into left field maybe looking for a base hit here and there but now you’re driving the ball to left field are you doing anything different no I mean we we always get our work in um you know just kind of minor swing adjustments uh stuff with the lower half um stuff that you know Marcus and and toy see um and you know we just trust each other and so um just trying to get good pitches to take a take a good hack at it and uh I guess I’ve been just seeing some jet streams down the left field line something we’ve seen recently the starting pitching staff has put together performance after performance you’re at second base tonight what did you see from Drew Thorp on the mound yeah they’re um they’ve been unbelievable inw uh he’s poised uh he attacks hitters uh he doesn’t shy away from contact um you know he he doesn’t light up the radar gun you know in 96 97 but he pitches he he you know attacks them he um you know the sinkers in or the change UPS or uh or the you know the sliders and there’s nothing he really shies away from so he’s uh he’s a good one he’s going to be a good one for a while it’s a hard tap love tap from Soka there
