what’s up guys welcome back to real Buck talk today I want to look at kijah KY the Bucks rookie from last year the guy came on late he started with his little calf injury at the beginning of the year but when you got to the playoffs the guy was a man possessed against the Philly game he was all over the field yet got a sack and a half in the two games that they had uh but let’s break down his film from throughout the year 94 middle of your screen way different player from Bea Bea’s power massive he is going to bulldoze everyone forward GL you can’t see everyone’s going to be scared of where which Gap is this guy going to shoot how fast is he going to get there and how quickly do I have to adjust because this guy does not stop moving his hands moving his arms legs everything’s in unison and he’s very athletic very balanced to to go with it allog together so if you look at it here just him battling through 71 here look at the hands everyone was scared short arms he’s not going to be able to make it 71 is extremely long using his levers to his Advantage but the low man wins it’s just so simple when it comes to NFL and in the interior of the defensive line low man usually wins and if you’re pushing up on the chest plate not getting through you look at the arms right here once they’re off he knows what to do after just disengage chop those arms away from me and then bend look at the bend staying low like I was saying the lean usually if you’re leaning that much you’re going to fall down right if you’re 300 something pounds yeah kaga cany maybe 280 what it is but it doesn’t matter look at the balance to get after CJ strout here as he’s trying to bail out and just grab him by legs bring him down that is insanity to me and just something where in the first year he’s learning now he understands the defense and how to attack guys in front of him he already had a mature game as in pass rush plan but now he is understanding what the defense is doing in its entirety so you see him here coming again again going to the tack that chest plate of the Guard getting through it understanding where’s the quarterback where are my eyes is he going to bail out left or right which way do I have to go he’s not going nowhere yet so I’m just going to keep driving through even though I got those short arms right guys doesn’t matter those those legs are churning pushing in the pocket he realizes he can’t go nowhere disengages gets in on the tackle right there yeah he he was held the whole time here but enough to disengage get off get that quarterback down on the ground this is one of the the sacks during the playoffs we saw this in College film we’re like there’s no way he’s going to do this in the NFL this is just this next level up he’s jumping towards this guy’s outside arm right just to literally cut this guy in half right let me not go after his chest plate let me go after one arm that I think I can win at so he jumps after it gets over it the guy is holding on for your life based off of that speed and acceleration that he has and he chops that arm up get off of me Chuck those arms up you got no hands on me now I’m going to turn this corner get after the quarterback bring him down to the ground like that looks so simple for him at full speeding done but that is so hard to do like how fast he’s doing that and at playoff Caliber Caliber level where everyone’s playing Beyond hard what they can do right so and he’s doing that at the highest level what you need to be doing it at here you go again low man win’s arms extending this guy’s got way longer arms but the thing is low man winning moving that guy back he’s trying to backpedal at the same time hand battling kijah cany look at him pushing arms off of his chest plate yes short arms aren’t an advantage but if you’re actively moving those arms as you’re moving your legs everything’s in unison that’s a plan of attack that’s not letting the other guy that’s longer and bigger than you overtake you and then just CJ stra was insane this game yeah we lost at the very end he’s making plays like this dimes give him credit like that was a hell of a game I couldn’t believe he was doing that and then now you’re gonna see some of the quickness right so you see him they’re going to try and shoot Gap him on this way oh he’s probably got that Gap he’s gonna try and rush through that Gap real fast can’t he sees that immediately shoots other gap look how quick this is like that’s that’s dirty stuff I mean he just makes it look simple look where he’s at look where the rest of the line’s at right and how quickly he shot that Gap to get up field get in after the play Levis has to get rid of that ball and of course lante David’s always around the ball that is who he is uh here we go keep going the spin move baby the spin move is working trying things out this was a nasty game for him like how natural fluid stays balanced getting that arm off of him again here look at the lean leaning into the guy like just spin move then to lean into him to create more space for him to run through that Alleyway right because this guy could have pushed him off his his balance into the ground into the dirt leans into the guy then pushes off and gets in after it again TJ Stroud incredible guy but we keep moving on look where he’s at linan WISE he’s playing on the outside use v vea as a little stunt game here spe clearing out the path right here taking on two guys and then you’re going to use the speed of 94 kijah KY to get up field and get in on the quarterback here yes he gets away oh and he just misses on a sack but still like the creativity of how Todd BS can use kagia cany you saw it in the playoffs he was standing up he was almost looking like a linebacker at times this is a weapon on defense this isn’t something where it’s a 4-3 down lineman you just put him in the put his hand in the dirt and let him go no you you use him any way possible Right Use linebackers blitzing to open up ways where you can get 94 more active right this is where the mind of Todd BS can create so many more opportunities for a guy that can wreak havoc in the back field of of a an opposing offense again look how look at the coverage he’s going through through here he’s starting in this Gap he’s jumping all the way over and swimming over this guy whoops low man wins usually but now when you’re reaching for nothing you don’t have to do low man wins then recognition Ball Carrier doesn’t have it keep going in after the quarterback like that’s good Elite stuff he only had four sacks it’s hard to believe with all the pressure you see him getting here he had 12 quarterback hits here’s one of them and just you think about it if this if this guy’s getting doubled you have Shaq Mason here and the centers on them and Via is getting more onv ones I mean you can only see more production from everyone on the line not just KY doing better but Yaya doing better via doing better whoever wins the outside position on the outside edge this year as well getting better because there’s just so much you have to account for when it’s not just vitaa coming after you it’s a a quickness of kijah Ky as well Yaya’s power on the outside as well and he’s taking on double teams guys GNA trying to push him off a spot staying balanced getting those arms off of him leaning his shoulder pad into 55 with def white creeping up you got to think about it then arms off of me disengage let me get in after the quarterback look he just misses again on his sack so you’ve seen multiple times where he probably could have had five six seven sacks he’s just missing little by little and then here in the running game this is where people would say it’s his weakness I think it’s just the beginning of his maturation yes he’s never going to be a like a true via steu in the Run No One’s Gonna move through him he’s 280 pounds that’s it’s a weight gain right so but the recognition of where the hell the ball’s going not just getting lost because we all know there’s another defensive tackle on the Buccaneers that sometimes just gets lost in the the running game and I don’t want to touch on that but his understanding of where guys are trying to block him how they’re trying to leverage and then understanding where is this guy at let me not just pin my ears back and not think about it let’s think is it going to be a run do I have to play assignment base or can I get after this quarterback right and now here we go again this guy’s gonna lean into me or he’s gonna push that fast I’m just as quick I can get around you I’m not gonna have to worry about your power right here we go again this is where Logan Hall actually wins with him check this out loogan with a little swim Elijah cany a little dip under check this out I love his recognition of okay it’s going to be a run this guy’s going to lean into me let me only give him half my body to push on right so I can slip under that block and get in after the play great play and then like like I always say finishing with his arms like look at him pulling that arm up so that that that tackle can’t keep that block on him and then finishes the play not just whipping and reaching he’s actually getting in on the tackle here sasia Dennis you got to give him credit this was a huge filling this Gap Quinton Nelson tries to anchor down on this block on kagia KY here you can see him position his hips around that should have been the alleyway the running back could have gone kagia K just becomes a beneficiary of uh sashia filling that Gap immediately and then just walks into it just being assignment based knowing where the hell you have to be and then look where he is as opposed to the rest of the line that’s getting quick pressure forcing the line towards him right so that’s why he’s actively in the play here we go again so getting across the line in a in a quick in a quick way right so when this guy has to reach already and then you already got the leverage Advantage quickly down the line swim over no one really got a man move on him and he’s right there to disrupt the play the linebackers come help out and finish right so and then we’re going to go over here again yeah when you’re going to double him you’re G to double kijah KY in the running game he’s more often not gonna lose it’s hard to Anchor it’s two 300 pound men and he’s 280 so he’s going to try and hold up and help out the linebackers behind him there’s only so much he can do so I mean I’m not going to knock him for that you live and die with the the weapons you have but kijah KY guys I think four sacks is going to be something where like how did he ever only get four sacks because I think he’s going to explode next year what do you
