Gonna be a sad day when he leaves.
At least Elly, so far, has never even tried to create the illusion that he’ll stay here lol
He has called LA “my city” and said “I want to be here” in NYC. Maybe I won’t invest in that EDLC jersey after all.
i love the reds with all my heart but if i’m elly i want to play on the biggest stage possible. which means he will be an amazing red for as long as here and then we won’t be able to retain him. we have him locked up for four more years, enjoy it.

Shohei is making more than half the reds total payroll this season (some fudging by the dodgers on when he actually gets paid). I’d want to play for the dodgers too for 70 million a year.
Sign him to a HUGE 10 year contract. He is gonna be the only chance of keeping us in the media and potentially bringing other stars in to play with him
