did you have any conversations with Kawai before you made the decision to leave the Clippers absolutely I owed Kawai that conversation I called him up and was just like man listen you know I think I’m going to go elsewhere conversations with the Clippers didn’t go how I wanted to I kind of broke down how I told you guys how it all played out and we had that conversation and I was like man like I got to do what’s best he understood he like go get your bag I can’t even be mad at you and I look at Kawai as one of my best friends in this in this league you know somebody that I with our family love each other it was tough to leave him just with how much I enjoyed being out there with him that was a big decision too that weighed a lot on me was just damn I’m leaving my boy but I had to have that conversation with him we talked and you know he he gave me his blessings of like man just you know go do what’s best for you

  1. That is real friendship right there. For PG to call Kawai directly and tell him that he is going elsewhere. Not a lot of other players did that when they were leaving.

    Also for Kawai to tell PG to do what is best for him and for him to get his money is awesome. A lot of players especially in the NFL will hate other players for trying to get their money and do what is best for them.

  2. For those that are upset PG didn’t stay are 🤦‍♂️ the pros of going to Sixers outweighs clippers by a thousand miles minimum. If PG stayed, Kawhi will load manage again like always and be unavailable for playoffs and Harden will again be the guy taking the scoring load. PG made the best decision because not only does he give himself a chance to go deeper into playoffs with Sixers but also 62 million reasons to do so as well.
