Can lightning strike twice after Rice?!

  1. The “IL”

Meaning “we aren’t sure what’s about to happen with this kid so we don’t want you to go far”…. For some reason😂

  2. Raking in AAA. Definitely worth giving him a shot before the deadline, though I’m not sure where he plays.

  3. i had already forgotten JD Davis was a yankee

definitely a candidate for guy who ruins your perfect score on the ‘name all 2024 yankees’ sporcle quiz in a few years

  4. I promise you Vivas will be better than our entire infield except for Rice. I know this because our infield is terrible.

  5. Between this and the reports yesterday that they showed interest in Jazz Chisholm it seems like they are actually ready to move off Torres in season.

  6. Lefty bat, good eye and good contact, middling power, solid D at 2b and 3b

  7. Scouting report says LAD tried him at 3rd, but it didn’t go well. It looks like he’s continued to play some 3rd at SWB, so I guess he could play there/2nd/DH?

  8. That’s cool, infield could use some life for sure. Hopefully he gets some playing time

  9. Shame peraza didn’t work out.

Imagine shouting Vivas Peraza on every double play

  10. please give him a lot of attention bats and not the florial treatment. ty

  11. He’s not some big name prospect but they better give him a legit shot cuz his minor league offensive profile can be a really nice bat in this lineup, and could help fill the internal holes at 2B/3B for the future

  12. Jorbittttt, Vevas, Vas, Vevas, Vas, Vevas, Vas, Vevas. J. Sterlings call to the tune of Jingo by Santana.

  13. This was a non-baseball related injury since he never plays, JD Davis broke his leg playing chess.

  14. No stat to back it up, but it just feels like the Yankees have a propensity to acquire players only for them to get injured in 1-2 weeks.

  15. stomach flu is a helluva reason to put someone on the IL, sounds like a “you kinda suck so take a seat for 10 days, pal

  16. Wow, JD Davis acclimated to Yankees culture quickly. Been here two weeks and already found the IL.

  17. Very excited for Vivas, if he can actually show promise then I would be satisfied with going into the playoffs with Vivas, Rice, Judge, Soto, Volpe, Stanton and hopefully Dominguez.

  18. I don’t think he’s ready for the MLB yet but most of the current Yankees don’t look ready for the MLB so he may as well join them. He’d fit right in.

  19. Big fan of giving the young guys a shot and see what their made of when it can’t get any worse anyways

  20. So from what I gather, he’s ok at AAA .252 hitter with a decent OBP but basically lacks power. Played 3B and 2B so probably has a pretty good range and arm. If he plays well hopefully we can see less of Gleyber or DJ.

Anyways, I do not believe there will be any big names coming in at the deadline. Hoping we can finally get our heads out of our asses and spend during the offseason. I don’t see us making a deep playoff run. People can downvote me, but we started off hot when all other teams were slowly warming up. Now they’ve caught on to us. I just don’t see how losing to teams with a record below .500 isn’t a concern and they think we’d be able to all of a sudden turn it all around.

Pray for an amazing offseason otherwise sheeesh 😅
