[sabre noise] Power Ranking the Atlantic Division: Where do the Buffalo Sabres stand at midsummer?

They’re still gonna finish in the bottom 4. There’s just too many old teams.
I totally agree. I think they’ll struggle a little for goals, but they are better than they were in pretty much every area, just the top 6 has something missing. There’s a lot of questions about how well their top players can perform if they can avoid injury. How much better they can be if they get good goaltending from the get go, a full season with their high octane bottom 6 and of course the puck mover defense spending more time together. So many questions. It’s hard to judge the team but I think the rest of the division above them looks stronger or at least has fewer question marks about the players and the teams.

The real question beside the players that everyone in these types of articles forgets about is Lindy. What effect will he have.
I’d probably swap Ottawa and Detroit. If we trade for a top 6 player I think we can hop into 5th. Also boston seems a bit high.
They need to add a top 6 fwd. One more of those and sign UPL for a 3 year deal and now we’re talking. Still a bunch of time, no need to do anything stupid.
